The color scheme gave me a lot of trouble. I had started out with a lot of blues and greens but the orange of the character gave me a lot of difficulty... so I threw a gradient over the whole thing and tried again. Came out okay I think, if slightly boring on the color theory scale.

Though I must admit I had a lot of fun working on this piece! :D

Icon commission for Rikoshi of his skunk persona, looking evil. He requested a trickster/trouble-making evil rather than malicious evil, I really hope I got that conveyed correctly.

Had a LOT of fun working on this. Being on a new machine with better hardware and acquiring a new program to work in (Paint Tool SAI) has made digital painting far more pleasurable.

I recently got a hold of some Ampersand Scratchboard, which is way higher quality than the thin paper stuff at craft stores. I decided to give it a try, and this was the result of my first attempt! I LOVE the medium!! So fun I already started the next one!

This is very simple and rather boring, but I wanted to figure out the medium before being too brave. The next one I've removed all the stops, it'll be a challenge!

Commission for Wolfyu of their character, Sherowkey. I drew a lot of inspiration from heraldic images, but tried to add my own flair to it.

Honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with this piece. One the one hand, I really like it, on the other hand... I see a million tiny little things I could change. But in an effort to not overwork this image to the ground, I called it complete at this point.

Badge commission for StripeCat. A glowy theme was requested, so I went with a neon sign as the light source. I had a lot of fun with this piece!

Second commission for Stripecat! I spent quite a bit of time on this, but I'm pretty darn happy with the result. :3


I grew up where there were lightning bugs every year, and it's one of the things I miss the most about summer on the east coast. After seeing a few awesome photographs of fireflies on flickr, the nostalgia bug (no pun intended) bit me and I knew I wanted to illustrate fireflies real soon. And since Stripecat requested glowy themes for his pieces, it worked out perfectly.

Fireflies are awesome, it does not matter how old you are. When you're a child, you have no idea how they "work" and it's amazing... but even as an adult when you know the chemistry, it's still one of the most magical sights.
