SAWUBONA,UNJANI? A traditional Zulu greeting to you as you enter my VCL archive, I welcome you here and invite you to take a little look around. I do mainly pencil artwork but from time to time you will find some in color, (watercolor pencils and other mediums as I explore them.) Below is a brief overview of my artistic history. 1.) EARLY YEARS ..... I have been drawing all of my life, since I was old enough to scribble on the walls as a toddler. In the early years I was influenced by "Kimba the White Lion" as my introduction to furry. I was also influenced by Disney's Robin Hood the animated movie, ( as a lot of people were who saw it at an early age in theatres.) In school I loved to draw and consistantly got good marks in art classes. Then in high school I took a year of Industrial Ed. to add to my growing skills. I learned how to present buildings and structures with an emphasis on detail and perspective. My teacher at that time , Mr. Stacey once told us a motto of which I live and base my artwork on. " If you don't show it, they won't know it. " 2.) IMPROVING AMID TURMIOL ..... I had to quit for a few years due to family troubles and I moved around like a tumbleweed through most of the early 1980's. In the mid 1980's when Kimba was rerun my furry side was revived, this was in 1985. I found a stable place to live and started developing my furry artwork. I drew buildings as well, trains, planes, some landscapes, ships as well to continue developing my technical side. 3.) A DIRECTION AND IMPROVEMENT..... Through the late 1980's and early 1990's I did furry artwork until moving to my present residence. By the mid 1990's my artwork was improving dramatically, then in 1995 I started doing historic railway art. By the late 1990's I was doing shows and to this day have now done well over two dozen art showings in my area. I have been mentored by very well known artists and have even met Robert Bateman. 4.) ONLINE AND FURRY..... In the summer of 2000 I got a computer and came online, discovering a whole new world of possibility with the communication it afforded. So I started making contacts, going in chat rooms and then getting in here to display some of my artwork. I got in touch with people like Dark Natasha and others to a lesser extent. I like to talk to the best so that I can be pushed by them to be the best that I can be. I have been well received so far and wish to thank everyone who has encouraged me for their support. * If there is anything in here that perks up your interest, artwork, stories, etc.... then E Mail me. * NOTE - Aertist@yahoo.com NO LONGER WORKS! as I have deleted that account.
