My off topic one in twenty! ok, it hasnt been twenty since the last really off topic peice, but I'm rather fond of it. 5 hour of tweaking with photoshop.
You know, I only used three filters in the whole thing. Glowing edges, gaussian blur and shear. Everything else is layer compositing. (over 35 layers before I group-butched layers and merged heaps of them)
Used a few fractal images to start with, and worked in some scanned objects, mostly feathers, with a few larger images mainly for light texture. Fun and fun.

Its a rabbit! A blue rabbit. A blue rabbit in yellow clothes. Mysterious pink sublighting? yes please.

He is all dynamic and stuff, because I think rabbits really should be. The colour choices in this picture are obnoxious but yeah, they're all totally deliberate. Trying to find a good mix between contrast and compliment. I've no idea if i achieved that, but i tried lol.
Photoshop hilarity, because im just that kinda guy.

Original lineart inked by hand, scanned and coloured in photoshop. Added the spear in ps too. Drawn to convince myself that yes, I really truly can draw decent stuff If i want to.

something i inked up in my sketchbook, scanned, mirrored, then ran it through my 'illutrate' filter in photoshop. Ah yeah, i love that filter. thats all it is too, a filter. really. *ahem*

Sometimes I'm very metaphorical. And sometimes i just like drawing otters. Im not entirely satisfied with the choice of colours. I might play around with it and reupload it with a better sceme. I like it as it is though really.

I guess if you've seen steamboy, you can tell how blatantly inspired by it this is lol. Combination flash lineart, photoshop colouring and comp, terragen mountains and photo background. despite all the convolusion, i do like how it came out. Makes me wanna go join the army, or something.

what can i say, sometimes im inspired to draw complete crap.

Uploading time. Expressiony style colouring of what was going to be a pretty bread and butter painting. Tried to give the colours a vibrant but kinda quiet feel to them. I don't know if it worked, but thats what i went for.
