Goddess´s Pool

Gift dedicated to Melissa “Frisket”
Sutra is in a Cenote, or Sacred Pool. For Mayan people those places were Gates between Underworld and Earth; and if somebody enters there eventually will meet the gods. Everything like people, tributes, sacrifices, etc.
The woman is IxChel the Goddess of the moon, healing, childbirth, love and Queen of the Mayan gods, and wife of the powerful God Itzamná. Sometimes a rabbit was with her.
A kind Goddess who protects pregnant women; the snake on her forehead is symbol of medicine. Ix in Mayan means the feminine, whether Lady, goddess, or woman. Ix is also meant to convey something high, important, or honoured. Chel means rainbow, or translucent light.
On the Mayan culture the butterflies are warriors spirits reincarnated.

Sharo

On image appears Sharo, her beautiful cheetah girl. Hope this can’t be the last time I draw her ´cause I like her and I think this can made better.

IZTACCIHUATL & POPOCATEPETL

The legend tells so long time ago, when the Aztecs arrived to the Anahuac valley there was born in the Great City Tenochtitlán a beautiful princess named Mixtli. Many men wanted to married her but the love of the princess belongs to a young warrior named Popoca.
To gain the right of the princess Popoca goes on war campaign to win the highest title for an Aztec warrior: the "Eagle knight".
But many months pass without news and Mixtli died of sadness thinking her true love died on the battlefield, without the knowledge Popoca finally returned victorious.
He took the body of her princess and goes to the mountain thinking she was only sleeping; he made a bonfire and he stayed aside on her feet waiting the moment to be rejoined again and this time forever. An eternal wait.

California Special

Commission to Jack Krolak, on image a pretty centaur girl & 2007 Ford Mustang GT / California Special, this also wears some decorative details based on the Shelby cobra model.
During the process I got an accident (I mean a "computer accident") and it was so close to lose almost 80% of artwork. *phew..*

Encounter

The art line was made by my pal & comrade Mario R. Calva long time ago. He likes fantasy themes and what better than this night elf and (her?) dragon.
To be sincere I just made the color but this work was in no hurry in time and unfortunate I forget it about a year or so, sorry it’s was my fault. I think it could be a worst shame if I didn’t add a special treatment color & background.

Ya te cargo el Payaso...

In someplaces on Mexico if you had a bad event or moment it´s common to hear from your friends: "Ya te cargo el Payaso" ("The clown get you") it´s a similar motto like "shit happens". But yeah, don´t try to understand how, when, who or what, it´s black humor & latin sarcasm.

Pajarito, Pajaritooo

Time ago TV news got a curious note: in an evening like others in the bullfight plaza a powerful bull get a little jump, the impressive was “he” fly over the security fence and finally fall with the spectators, it was said there was family owner’s bull and the famous mexican sport commenter José Ramón Fernandez.
But the funny thing was bull’s name: “Little bird”
On Descontrol Cartoon TV show we made short chapters, when if you dare to say: “Bird, look the little bird” he falls over you.

Commission to Newenglander, he wants an image with Marilyn and Seth (long time without news from this guy); the concept was on beach, bikini and surprised eyes. I think they make a great couple, if someday Seth can keep his eyes from popping out at the sight of her!
The Mustang behind them is the Gt500 (no errors this time!), the background was inspired a little in Cabo San Lucas, México.

¿Remember those eyes?
A little look on my image "Ya te cargó el Payaso" already in my sketch gallery.
Usually ilustrations are quick but this time I want to do with more calm & concentration. I think the result is efective but it´s not finished yet. I want to show you this little close-up from the clown´s eyes, this time I want more details. Wait to see soon the complete version.
Even this cut reminds me a cool videogame of PS2, It could be titled: "CLOWN OF WAR", ha, ha..!

BMWz4 and friends

There was a few convertibles I like, and I chosse that BMWz4 to show this time, and some of my characters too: Genaro, Liz, Angie & Magolobo.
On my first process squetches I was thinking on others to show and the background was a beach.
I really prefer to draw another models but by some reason this one likes me.

Alejandro "AXO" is one of my best friends and a cool artist too. Actually we´re working in several proyects on PlanetaToon Studio.
