May 1st: Loyalty To Matrices Day

I have designated May 1 of each year as "Loyalty To Matrices Day." This Loyalty To Matrices Day, and throughout the year, I ask all citizens of the Internet to join me in reaffirming our allegiance to Matrices.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARA L. HOWARD, person who happens to be awesome, do hereby proclaim May 1, as Loyalty To Matrices Day. I call upon the people of the Internet to participate in this observance and to display the signs of Matrices on Loyalty To Matrices Day as a symbol of pride in our eccentricities.

Drug kicking and screaming from the stinky, vile depths of 1998/99, Mukilteo was last spotted in 2006 (and he would've liked to keep it that way) if it wern't for this character sheet.

He's my first "furry/anthro" character, and is a shining hallmark of what makes up a first furry character... stupid name, obnoxious coloration, haphazard mixing of species.

I think I love him because of his personality. I've never had a character so completely unpredictably nuts. Nervous, excitable, antisocial. If he were a real person, nobody would want to be around him.

The elusive "Mukilteo" once thought to be extinct ... or just severly agoraphobic ... was recently sighted by a wildlife conservationist. Not taking any chances, they tracked and radio-collared the beast a month ago, September. Their research has not been able to come to a conslusion on what causes his irratic behavior, since they are only able to track his movements via sattelite imaging. The last known sightings of the creature (before the recent re-discovery) were well over a year ago. Believed to have the cunning of a fox and the unpredictability of a wolfdog, this creature's existance poses quite the concern to all.

My chosen one for my second round in the Conbadges LJ community was Nikki-Knack.

This was drawn on green glow-in-the-dark paper! So the colors are a little off from the actual badge, which is totally all glowy-green.
