i've realized that i identify with cartoons more than i do with real people.

the picture before was supposed to have a shitty nineties car in the background, that was kinda the point, but i got lazy and frustrated and couldn't do a good car, and just ended up doing the character. but i got a reference for this one and did it. so yea. put a little sloppy color in because it reminded me of an old comic illustration.

a character based off of a person i know. i like the clothinng. this style is like my out cartoonishness with more detail, i guess.

eh, i like the linework on this, but when i colored it, you don't just see the linework; you see primarily these big blocks of color. it makes the picture as a whole look less complex, which nifts me, cause it was kinda supposed to be chaotic and crazy.

i just made this today. had nothing to do, so i decided to stop my lazy streak and do some drawing.

i worked at the floral shop in the supermarket for about a month but i got cut (eh, i miss it). people were always surprised to have a male floral attendent. aside from middle aged guys who were way too smug about <i>them<i/> not being floral attendents, the most notable reaction was like twelve or thirteen year old girls who would give me amorous looks and then look away when i noticed. ...not that i'm into little girls or anything, but i thought it was cute. it reminded me of when i was younger and being shy with attractive 18+ girls. heh.

old as shit, i made this, actually only last year, first really kinda 3D thing. i keep her on my desk, she's my muse. haha, i should make her a boyfriend.

i really, really like this. i went to maryland for a week for an artistic pilgrimage. i just got back yesterday. im beginning to get abstract art, it's fuckin' scary.

i just like this: the color, the form, the composition. i think its just a good piece of art. i think alot of people who do online art, like furry and hentai and shit frequently just get the shit done for the sake of emulating form that reflects a fanciful alternative existence, but we tend to ignore basic design and composition, which makes shit good. for example, alot of hentai fits the purpose, its hot, but as art it sucks. i dont know.

sometimes i see people with unique body types and it inspires me to try to portray it. i have a weird appreciation for aethetics i think most people would find ugly.

i bet people would be freaked out if they knew i did this. :3

i had plans to do a whole little like twelve page comic of this situation. i had a story board and everthing. alas im a lazy ass. maybe someday.

im a pinko. while i was doing this page i learned the idea of depicting complex objects in a small space by not actually drawing the details that would define the object as such, but just using key lines to suggest its texture and characteristics. this can be seen on the feilds and on the buildings in the village.

the ying-yang for me is like a symbol of ultimate reality. the crest of taoism, the whole idea of "returning to the nameless", which is interpret as losing all discriminations and associations of the mind. i dont believe in love because its not physical, i believe in sex cause clearly it is.
