I decided to doodle up some small images of friends as random gifts they can turn into icons for LJ and the like. Each one of these doodles range in an inch by inch sized space. They're tiny, and thus when scanned, they're pretty tiny themselves :/ Unfortunately. I need to scan my images better so the lines become smoother (this is straight up pencil)

Time for Pencils: 5 minutes

This one was done for Moon Wang, aka Whisper Panther. She's always been a sweetie and is an utterly FANTASTIC artist. She's always impressed me.

I am by no way a good artist when it comes to feline, and I did not practice. Enjoy hon.

She was in need of a new "snarly" type icon for LJ so I volunteered. Instead of drawing a cartoony image, I opted for drawing her as one of my werewolf-types, a Snapdragon. Yay snarlies.

But for those that usually wait, they end up with something better/more. Personally I accomplished a lot. I was able to play around with my new coloring style and give Jay, hopefully, a piece that was worth the wait.

Kanashimi (aka Jenna) is a good friend of mine. I designed up the twins a while back in collaboration with her.

She saw my paperdoll of Sutra and liked it. I did up a paperdoll of her twin, Kanashimi, so she could play with her own outfits.

I'm debating on doing limited run of paperdoll commissions for people. Dunno.

An image/gift I did for Jenna ...Whose character is the fraternal twin of Sutra.. (as you can see similiar qualities in the pair.

Anyway. This is a long time coming and it's an attempt to hit two birds with one stone. Need practice coloring and needed a gift for Jenna. Voila. Valentine gifty. Admittedly, there are things I'd change if given more time and a do over.. but frankly? I'm so sick of looking at this for right now. :)

I need to first and foremost thank Liz Carlson aka Skade, for making the collage. I was unable to do so due to software problems.

Anyway. I will be uploading a second collage of this sculpture with additional photos sometime soon. The collage is of Sutra's fraternal twin, Kanashimi, owned by Jenna DaQuanno / KatanaWolf.

The sculpture is nearly 8-10" long and about 3-4" high. Base coat in pearl white with accents of ice blue. Floral ribbon in baby blue along with clamp beads, wire and blue freshwater pearl make up her "kitsune ball necklace".

One of my first sculptures and first actually completed sculptures.

You make assassin/rogue type characters that are super rare animals. YARG.

Enough of that. I was working with CandyPalmer (of DA) in designing a pair of Amur Leopard twins that were to be all Russian assassins. (geek mode)

Candy hasn't drawn her version of her Amur Leopard yet. - Shame that people keep killing this type of big cat. They're gorgeous.

Somehow I doubt she'd be amused by him clapping in the background. (Yes I'm aware it looks like Greed is floating. It's due to the lack of shadow/color to weigh the figure down.) Anyway. Next panel would be completely be Tig' tossing a hairdrier or something his way.

I was playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (red) and had to draw pokemon again. I decided to create an abnormally colored Vulpix vixen -- leader of Team Amethyst. (geek mode). Other friends are designing their own pokemon for Team Amethyst. It's a goofy-fun project. Yay.

Her name is Chemistry. Her coloration is based on Bath and Bodyworks' body cream bottle: Candy Apple. I reverted back to inks instead of pencils, that's why the lines appear thick. Don't dig anime style so I did it in mine.

The image itself was practice. I've not colored anything in a while :/

Pokemon/Vulpix Species咚intendo

With my love of Lunar rekindled, I've been trying new experiments. With art there are leaps of evolution. Things that make us advance ourselves quickly because we find reasons to leave our comfort zones and push forward.

This image was such a piece. Thornwolf helped me deal with the coloring of the mountains and to gain depth. Thank you hon. I tackled a variety of new things.. both a full color BG, new techniques in coloring and in general style - anime-like to fit the theme.

The characters are Leera and Lunix. Two Lunar-fan characters I made up.

I've other images of her in the works, however this was a doodle (pencil) I did late last night. I have no intentions of coloring it as I am lazy. Only if I'm truly in an art block will this make it to color.

This is my Lunar-inspired black dragon character, Lunix, in her 'big/adult/ form. I'm still playing how I want things to be. But for sure I want wolf-like features, the mammalian with feathered wings. The horns I'm working on - pupiless eyes too.

Doodled up Melsa - a character of mine from various RPs n' stuff. The linework took about 3-5 minutes.

Liz Carlson aka Aureath/Skade is a good friend of mine. She layed some colors on in about 10 minutes.

If I didn't like ya' Jer'.. I totally would not have attempted this. Ha.

Anyway. Part of an art trade I did with Jeremy Bernal. What a sweety. I really love Miami's design (despite my lack of experience in drawing skunks). Bernal challenged me, forcing me to get out of my comfort zone of canines and really experiment (not to mention use cool grays as a base).

Struggled a lot, and totally copped out on the BG... Enjoy Bernal :D

I'd be lying if I didn't say there wasn't more to be done. There's a lot more. And my obsessive nature could easily spend more hours pouring over this. However, enough is enough. I'm burned out on it.

I decided to play around with some new brushes I got in photoshop (credits listed in my DA journal). Linework is actually old - by a few months. Only recently found the resolve to finish it.

Really just wanted to draw my little unusual maned wolf character with a quetzal bird.

I'm done. Yay. This will be sold as prints at AnthroCon coming up in a few weeks. Prints limited to no more than 20.

I had every intention of making this all pretty with shading and highlights, but then I realized that would take effort I don't care to do.

Always loved maned-wolves. In fact, before my Frisket character, my prime one was a maned wolf named Arcadia. Love the species. I've 3 other maned-wolf characters, each a little different. Well, decided to break the mold and make one flamingly different.

Maned-Husky herself is queen of maned-wolf hybrids. This isn't so much a hybrid as much as I wanted a canine with spotting. Like my World of Warcraft Hyena.

A while ago, I did a sketch of my character Sutra entited "Iron Fans". It was just linework, and I gave permission to a few people to color it. One such person was MockingByrd of DA. They noted me and I loved how they read my linework and filled in the colors. Awesome job hon, thank you!

I went back on their initial coloring job and added a few color-tweaks to pump out the shadows/figure... But 99% of the coloring is theirs. :) You can see their version in their DA page.
