| Image: Wolf.jpg
440x600 89116 bytes 2002.07.08
A wolf out in the forest doing wolfish things. I don't like the background in this one. Done in coloured pencils.
| Image: Lizard_Man.jpg
330x500 25993 bytes 2002.02.15
Another lizard character with another pretty bad pose. Done with markers.
| Image: Chameleon_anthro.jpg
406x600 57393 bytes 2002.02.15
A picture I did for a friend on Elfwood in exchange for a very cool mechanical bee. That thing kicked ass. This is a chamaeleon critter done in coloured pencils.
| Image: Goat_Man.jpg
290x515 20570 bytes 2002.01.19
An ibex-based furry that I used to experiment in a woodblock kind of look. I was going to give it a background, but I ran out of black pen. :(
| Image: Purple_Cat-girl.jpg
384x600 26377 bytes 2002.01.19
Another really old picture done in extremely mediocre coloured pencils. Bits definitely need help, but it can be posted anyway.
| Image: gazelle_nymph.jpg
859x630 31129 bytes 2002.01.19
This is a very old pic from way back when I started drawing furries. There are a lot of things that need work about it, but never mind that. She's a gazelle nymph, which means she's nervy, flighty and sometimes panicky, but she's very fast and can jump very high.
| Image: Laumaud.jpg
740x550 61608 bytes 2002.01.19
This is Koesha's father, Laumaud, a creature of the mountains if ever there was one. I think his wings are too small, but I'm getting there. Done in Photoshop.
| Image: Fishing_Cat_in_water.jpg
393x550 40302 bytes 2002.01.14
This was a test to see if I could do something in water. It was quite challenging, but the result wasn't too bad. It's a pity I realised halfway through that my fishing cat's head is too big. :(
| Image: Vixen_in_grass.jpg
728x550 33854 bytes 2002.01.05
A vixen rolls about in the grass, enjoying the sunshine. It was kind of a good job, but there are some odd little bits of colouring there that need help.
| Image: Koesha2.jpg
691x550 23009 bytes 2002.01.05
Another Photoshop creation ruined by poor quality saving. This is Koesha running through the night.
| Image: Kangaroo_girl.jpg
383x550 25843 bytes 2002.01.05
A kangaroo girl gives you a "come hither" look. She's only after one thing, though....
| Image: fennec_-bg.jpg
384x600 24042 bytes 2002.01.05
A fennec anthro done in Photoshop and not saved at a high enough quality. I was getting in trouble with the family for using up too much space on the hard drive.
| Image: Young_tiger_anthro.jpg
440x550 46213 bytes 2001.12.30
More computer colouring with Photoshop. I'm getting ther, I suppose.... Just a curious young tiger anthro with something to say. © 2001 Melissa Starling.
| Image: Okapi.jpg
361x513 31598 bytes 2001.12.30
An okapi fur pauses for a moment to give you a good look at her pretty stripy butt before she dashes off into the forest. In case you don't know what an okapi is, it's a weird critter that's related to giraffes. Background done in pastels and the okapi is done with progresso woodless pencils. © 2001 Melissa Starling.
| Image: Aardvark_Anthro.jpg
376x515 19267 bytes 2001.12.30
Looking at that now I think it could do with a shadow and I don't know why it didn't get one. Never mind, he turned out all right anyway. Done in a handfull of different graphite pencils and © 2001 Melissa Starling.
| Image: Stabbing_Cat-cc.jpg
320x500 22630 bytes 2001.12.30
I've recently gotten into computer colouring and this is an old picture that I recoloured of a sabre tooth of some sort. They're my favourite extinct animal because they used to hunt like sharks. Cool! Coloured in Photoshop and © 2001, Melissa Starling.
| Image: Rhino_man.jpg
370x550 16463 bytes 2001.12.30
The pose is a total let-down, I know, but the muscle work came out all right. Done with a variety of different graphite pencils and © 2001, Melissa Starling.
| Image: Nithale.jpg
391x550 14117 bytes 2001.12.28
This is a kangaroo boy I did ages ago, but I always liked him becuase I think he's cute. Hehehe. I'll have to do another one of those sometime. His name is Nithale.
| Image: Mermaid.jpg
669x477 31355 bytes 2001.12.28
I always thought it was funny that when Europeans first saw a manatee they thought it was a mermaid. Just my weird sense of humour coming out. The background turned out a bit silly, but I learnt from that.
| Image: Mole_Anthro.jpg
337x477 33285 bytes 2001.12.28
A mole sneezing when he comes out of his home into the sunshine for a little while. Did you know that's genetic? Done with my new prismacolours I got for Christmas.
| Image: Gryphon.jpg
652x465 27568 bytes 2001.12.28
I hadn't drawn a gryphon in a long, long time so I had a go. My friend thinks it's a bit chunky to get off the ground and he's probably right. I'll work on it.
| Image: Clouded_Leopard.jpg
360x509 36039 bytes 2001.12.28
A clouded leopard that turned out more cartoony than my usual work. The background is done in ink and pastels and everything else is done in pencils.
