Meeting in the Mist
I painted this a in February for the Furry Fiesta art show, and have just now finally gotten a successful photo of it (well, as successful as you can get with your phone). . \r\n\r\nI painted this in 5 days, and this is the first time I felt "fluent" with acrylics. A big part was that my boyfriend gave me a gift card and insisted I bought something other than beginner's paints- and then the salesman told me to never use black to darken, which I hadn't known before. It certainly paid off, both the paints and the advice. \r\n\r\n20x30 inches, Acrylics.\r\nFor sale if anyone is interested.

commission for Mira! \r\n\r\nShe asked for an african wild dog similar to my "Hyena Matriarch." I think I might have said blue jewelry, so if you'd prefer I change it, let me know. I hope you like it!\r\n\r\nI tried a new method of fur on this, so feedback on whether its a change for the good or not is greatly appreciated. \r\n\r\n6 hours\r\nshown at 65%\r\n

The alpha of the Luhkazti pack will often barter with raptors, who see and know everything. \r\n\r\nThis took about 45 hours, and I started it last saturday! I've never finished something this quick. I tried a slightly different method on fur. All critcism greatly appreciated. \r\n\r\nCloseups - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/42660875/\r\n\r\nPhotoshop CS2 \r\n3432 X 4680 px (image is 23%)\r\n45 hours \r\n\r\nArt and Myenia (C) Myenia

Yay pensil, and my first coyote! I needed the practice. I actually like this, despite many things. Anatomy and such is fine..balance is a bit funky and I discovered magic never looks good in black and white. This was originally going to be full-body but I couldn't find a good position for the legs. \r\n\r\nThe thing across the bottom is the crow spirit, being summoned back. Coyotes seem to have a natural talent with practicing magic, and travel around sharing their services. \r\n\r\nPensil on matt board, not sure on the size...so I'll guess. I guess its about 15X9 inches. \r\n\r\nart (c) Myenia

My half of a trade with the talented ! We agreed to this a very long time ago, and finally got around to it! I hope you like it . \r\n\r\nShe's supposed to be at the edge of a dropoff down to a river. I can't help but feel there's something off about the outstretched leg, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it and decided not to fix it. \r\n\r\nNashoba-hostina (C) Nashoba-hostina\r\nart (c) Myenia\r\n\r\nPhotoshop CS2 \r\n3100X3121 px (30%)\r\n~30 hours

So...really dark paintings don't like cameras OR scanners. If I can get a cleaner shot later I'll replace the file...I just got tired of trying. It looks significantly different in person, etc etc. \r\n\r\n9" x 12" acrylics on watercolor board. Will be in the FF art show next month!

This is an old digital painting, I was interested in trying a starscape. I have edited it since the original, only slightly. I -think- I'll keep it in my gallery. Anatomy is all funky, but hell, its old art.\r\n\r\nart (c) Myenia

A werewolf puppy howling. I sketched this a long time ago, and finally without the power cord this last week, I got around to painting it. I'm going to try a different method of fur/painting next time around, cuz I'm just not sure this is the way I want to do things. \r\n\r\nacrylics on mat board \r\n16X20 inches\r\n\r\n14 hours (and all at one too!)\r\n\r\n....for sale, anyone?

Scrapper Black Dragon Commission
Commission for Scrapper Black Dragon. Acrylics, a little prisma 15X20. I feel like I'm getting better at acrylics \r\n\r\nI only had about 5 minutes to paste the scans together, so the colors are a bit off and too dark. \r\n\r\nscrapper (c) Paul Fuller\r\nart (c) me

For an upcoming calendar project that Zakka and I are organizing.\r\n\r\nThe idea is a werewolf calendar that will resemble wildlife calendars sold featuring animal photographs. Each month will have a paragraph giving some "information" about werewolves. Watch either of our journals for more information, they will become available for order in October! \r\n\r\n"Even though werewolves can pronounce human words in beast form, body language still plays a very important part in their communication, even in human form. Poses, growls and barks can often express more than words do.”\r\n\r\nPhotoshop CS2\r\nshown at 45%\r\nAlot of hours

A commission for Spark! His character...Spark...is a wolf with fox coloring. Creative title, no? \r\n\r\nThis was quite a challenge lighting-wise, but I think its about right now. A making-of has been done and will be uploaded in a little bit...as several people have asked for an updated tutorial, which I simply don't have the time for. \r\n\r\nSpark (c) Spark\r\nart (c) me\r\n\r\nImage at 35%

The Wildfire Wolf
This was the first time inspiration 'struck' me. I'm pretty proud of this, I did it within 24 hours, and it came out pretty much like I imagined it. \r\n\r\nHe's demon helping the fires spread from a volcanic eruption. \r\n\r\nPhotoshop CS2\r\n\r\n(c) Myenia

Deep in the Heart of Texas
The stars at night\r\nAre big and bright....\r\n\r\nFor those of you who arent from the best place in the world: Texas is covered in blankets of wildflowers in the spring. The blue ones are the bluebonnet, the state flower, the red are my favorite, the indian paintbrush. The feather in the coyote's hair is a mockingbird feather, which is also the Texas state bird. \r\n\r\nWow, this took me forever. One of my layers is titled "layer 62." They do not actually number that high in the finished file, because I was constantly merging, but that just shows the minimum that I dealt with. Other than that, I'm not too happy about how the flowers in the distance look, but am very happy with the abalone in her hair . \r\n\r\nArt (c) Myenia\r\n\r\nphotoshop cs2\r\n1848 x 2034 px at 300 dpi\r\nalot of hours

Acrylics, 9" x 16" ...will be in the Furry Fiesta art show. \r\n\r\nPlease check out the close-up here...the small version gives the fur no justice: http://myenia.deviantart.com/art/Th.....seup-153966095\r\n\r\nI think I do better fur with paint than I do with digital media. I'm really proud of this one, even though I'm a little concerned its a bit boring. Maybe I'll go back and add more blood. Or something.

The Queen of the Night - Pride
I'm doing 7 small paintings for Oklacon going along with the theme "the 7 furry sins," and each representing a character from an opera representing that sin. \r\n\r\nThis is the Queen of the Night from Mozart's "The Magic Flute", representing pride. I promise she looks better in person \r\n\r\nAcrylics, 5x7 inches

A Werewolf sniffing some leaves while tracking something. Or...someone.\r\n\r\nThis scan is HORRIBLE. I know everyone says that, but you know, I have a great scanner, but its one of those ones that rolls the picture though, so it has to be 8x11. So considering the size of this, I had to use my parents crappy scanner. \r\n\r\nMechanical pensil on 15X20 illustration board. \r\n\r\nart(c) Myenia

Werewolves or Luhkazti? I never decided. I have alot of difficulty with multiple characters in one picture, so this was a big challenge, but it was fun. Adorned for War
Oh, I have been waiting to scan this for like 2 months. I put alot of effort into this and am pretty proud of it. The sides are all cut off a bit, because I wasnt scanning at home, I was at kinkos. Im especially happy with the cactus . He's a Luhkazti warrior, painted and adorned for a fight. \r\n\r\nI would really appreciate criticism..especially as to the painting aspect...if it looks choppy or chunky or the fur or whatever. I know about the anatomy mistakes. I really enjoy doing acrylic paintings.\r\n\r\nAcrylic on 16X20 Mat Board. \r\n\r\n\r\nDetails : http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/41676001/\r\n\r\nart (C) Myenia

Whew! I'm happy with how this came out, this took me only about 8 hours to do. I'm still figuring out paints though...so I still feel like this was partly luck.
