A rough sketch done, again, with my borrowed tablet. I'm trying to get the hang of that thing, and it's starting to grow on me. This character was inspired mostly by playing too much Max Payne, sort of an action hero cat named 9lives. This is just the rough version, of course, I'm gonna' take it into illustrator or photoshop or something to purty it up one good.

Just a drawing I did in Illustrator. It's a coyote holding an AR10. Only half inspired by the works of Jay Naylor. I intend to color and shade it, though not suer when I'll get around to that.

Hey, it's an acctual upload! Don't seem to get many of those from me lately.

This is the sketch of a picture I'm working on, and frankly I think it turned out rather well. I suppose that figure drawing class payed off. I'm takin' this sombitch into Illustrator and will clean him up really nice by "inking" him, and I'll probably put a rediculously large RPD (russian machine gun) in his paws. . . because, you know, I get off on that kind of thing.

So, I had this class “Terrestrial and Speculative Biology” total goof-off “Biology for artists” sort of class. The final project was to create our own fantastic creature and give a little presentation about it. Of course, I waited until the night before the deadline to throw my presentation together.

I chose to create the “Faux Fox” (or Vulpis Falsus for my more scientifically minded friends), which, as you may be able to see, is essentially a giant man eating worm with a cute fox-shaped appendage sticking out of it’s head. It lures Englishmen on horseback with the promise of a cute little foxy to kill, and then eats them and their frumpy riding outfits. The Faux Fox has been put on the endangered species list ever since Britain banned fox hunting. Poor creature.

Just a sketch of a bunny character I play as now and again – I meant to do more with it. I want to get back into the habit of actually finishing pieces in raster programs like Open Canvas or Photo Shop, but then some commission’s came in so this thing is sitting on the back burner. I’ll probably finish it eventually, but ‘till then it goes in sketches.

This is the character pic that is in my main folder, only without any of the lines. Note that the shading alone is more than enough for you to determine the shape and contour of his body. This was my original plan, unfortunately, as you can see, it just isn’t quite as good as the version with the lines in it. I view it as a good learning experience, and much needed practice, if nothing else.
