I charge on a flat rate, but it varies according to the complexity of the picture. I believe to be as fair as I can be. It's not fair to me to under-charge for a really complex picture, nor is it fair to charge a flat rate for a very simple basic picture. 
* THE MORE YOU ORDER, THE CHEAPER IT GET'S * I know for a fact not many fur-fans are rollin' in the dough, so I believe in treating customers fairly. The more you order, the better I'll make the deal. Order enough pics, and one might go half off, or might even get a pic free of charge for being a frequent customer. So diffinately try to keep that in mind when ordering =) 

Backgrounds, Colors, Multiple-characters, complex dynamics or proportions, thoes all add up to the total though, scence that's what makes a pic harder to do. So if your going for price, go for 1 character B+W no background pics. Wanna get up there in the price, then just add full detail inks, background, colors, multiple characters and in multiple pictures of it, and BAM, it climbs. But again, depending on the financial status I have, the frequency of your buisness near that time, and all that, it'll fluxuate =)

1) I can only scan on Sundays due to computer issues. So, you must be patient with me. I get them done soon as I can, but I dont want to risk quality for a timely manner, so if there's a deadline on this, I need to know now. I sketch the image, scan it and E-mail you the sketch on the nearest Sundayday avalible. You then can say "Ink it up!" which then I ink it, ooorrr, "XXXXX needs to be changed" and I make the alterations that are needed. That repeats till it's ready for inkings. 

2) Payment is done either Check, Money Order, or PayPal. Cash is possible in US currency, but it's -HIGHLY- recomended it's not for security measures. I work in the theory of "Half now, half apon delivery" as quoted in The Jackel. Of course, "All paid before hand" is even better ;p All these just include digital copies of the images, not hardcopies, just to verify that right now. Hardcopies are avalible, but cost for shipping and the like.
