Updated lineart for the Yale illustration. I think the only thing I have left to figure out is the border.

Color study for this blasted project. I'm actually fairly happy with how it's coming out, but this project has given me a headache from day one. Mock cover for "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire. I think my life would be easier if I could just keep it digital, but I already told the teacher that I would be doing it in Watercolor and maybe gouache and colored pencil. Real media. Oh well, it was fun to do the color study in painter. I'm really enjoying the program. =)

This one's due thursday for my computer illustration class. I think I'm close to being finished with it, there's just a few things I'd still like to mess with. I like the colors on this, but I wish the kids stood out just a little more.

Finally finished with the pencil part of this. I'm relatively happy with the results, and I think it'll work pretty well once I work out the textures and do all that computer stuff.

Another book cover in progress. This one is for Figure class, the assignment was 'two figures in a composition.' Rather than just a generic picture, I decided to do another book cover- this one for "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire. Honestly, I like the original book cover better, for its simplicity, but this works, too.

I'm going to be uploading more WIP stuff sometimes, I enjoy having the process of some of my work easily visible like that.

This is the rough value study for the background of the image ONLY. The kids, the bobcat, and the other world that they're looking into are going to be worked on separately, to begin with.

This illustration is a photoshop 'collage' project. The collage part is mainly dealing with the textures 'under' the drawing. The illustration itself is a cover for Philip Pullman's "The Subtle Knife".

Almost done, I have about three more hours now to finish this.

I'm probably going to add a few more drawings to this, and maybe mving stuff around a bit. I'll also be adding some text (handwritten and scanned in, to match to look of the rest of the page. WIP for an illustration calendar assignment for class. This is Apollo/August. I've moved the horses and cart from their original positions to create a more interesting composition- but it's nearly impossible to find reference of horses at that angle, so I've resorted to using the one Breyers horse that we have here. I really wish I'd brought down some of the ones I have at my parents house. *Sigh*

Rose Quoll's red Lemur character, Maki. This is cropped and unfinished, but I like the way it looks at the moment, and I'm getting tired, so I think I'm going to bed soon. I'll work on it more later. =)
