This one's a hybrid picture- I did the linework and flat colors in Illustrator, then took it into Photoshop to give it a little shading. I tried to keep this one fairly soft rather than adding all the crazy contrast that I usually do. I like the result, but overall I think I prefer my normal contrast and lighting.

My goal with these practice badges is to do them as quickly as possible, while still achieving desirable results. This one took just over an hour total, and I'm very pleased with the stylistic qualities of it. =) The Flamingoo is intellectual property of 18x24 on livejournal.

This is only 8x3 inches, but it took ALL DAY to color. Well, the results are always worth it, but I think I'm going to charge more for solid colored pencil work from now on! =) KaHaTeNi and Mid are each Š their respective creators. Yes, this will be cut in half 0_0 before it's laminated...

It was also quite a conversation starter, as there is indeed a story behind the 'moldy ant loaf.' I got to hear said story told repeatedly, and I swear it was funny every time. ^^

She was going to help me out by selling my print books at her table, but as luck would have it, I ended up with my own table for all three days the marketplace was open! She liked the badge, and ended up barely having enough tablespace as it was, so it worked out best for both of us. My first badge done in illustrator, rather pleased with the results!

Anyway, This badge was done at AC, but the owner never showed up to claim it. Ahh well, I'm sure I'll see him at FC or AC next year. I usually scan these before laminating them (just in case). But I wanted to show what they look like all laminated and pretty, and I'd never scanned and posted this one, so I figured, why not? ^_^
