This was an illustration for my “Alternative Were-Beast Rules,” This guy is what is called a shifter from the D20 Eberron champign setting. Shifters are descendents from a natural lycanthrop, and a human breeding. WOTC finally gave furs a playable furry race! Anyways, there are twelve moons on Eberron, and sense Lycanthropes are tied to the moon, then why not have twelve species of Lycanthrop, and there by having twelve different shifter sub-types, and here is one. I created “Raven Shifters” descended from were-Ravens. A descendent from a natural lycanthrop, and a human breeding. Wizards finally gave furs a playable furry race! Anyways, there are twelve moons on Eberron, and sense Lycanthropes are tied to the moon, then why not have twelve species of Lycanthrop, and there by having twelve different shifter sub-types, and here is one. It was first published in 1988, and I have run it on and off sense 1989 or 90. It is completely and utterly out of print, and hard to find, but I took the initiative to convert it to D20 rules, and meant to do more illustrations for it but never got around to it… This one is a raccoon engineer and my favorite of the set, he is in a state of repairing something to advanced from my small brain… Enjoy.

It was first published in 1988, and I have run it on and off sense 1989 or 90. It is completely and utterly out of print, and hard to find, but I took the initiative to convert it to D20 rules, and meant to do more illustrations for it but never got around to it… This one is a bear lurking in the shadows, with a side arm, and claws ready to strike… Enjoy.

It was first published in 1988, and I have run it on and off sense 1989 or 90. It is completely and utterly out of print, and hard to find, but I took the initiative to convert it to D20 rules, and meant to do more illustrations for it but never got around to it… This one is an otter using his environment to his advantage, holding a United Industries A-2 assault rifle (standard issue). The band across the top of his head is a communications headset, and the rest is blaa blaa blaa… Enjoy.
	Image: 4censor.gif 450x600 66701 bytes 2005.03.29 I was reading a book on the spirituality of the artist called "The Artist Way", and one of the exercises was to give the demon that tells you, you are a failure a physical image (the demon called the Censor). It could be anything, this gives you power over it. I was happy with the pic, but the person it looks like is not. Shrug oh well... Enjoy.

Two Weres locked in mortal combat, one with a Hammered copper knife, the other with a steel axe... Took me 5 weeks to paint this one, but tit was worth it.

For Sofa Wolf Press, http://www.sofawolf.com. I plan on re-uploading this one in the future as I get a better, and clearer reproduction made. This one didn't come out so well. Many of the of the details are lost. The story that the image is of hit me hard, it was inspiring… Expect another excellent book when this on comes out. Image (c) Sofa Wolf Press.

This is a revisit to an older concept, I painted this idea in college in 1993 ten years ago in July (Here's the older version http://www.rakune.com/oddities/3pissed.jpg). I did this to show what ten years of study, practice, and dedication can do. A D&D type elf mage cast a spell out of anger, and pain, what can I say I'm a gamer geek.

A semi futuristic unit of German Shepard's, approach a tense situation. I will admit this one really tested my patients multiple characters are like little multiple paintings. Been doing allot of oil painting lately, and sense oils take so much time (this one 3 weeks) I haven't produced much. So this is it till I do more furry/were stuff. Grin

I have refused to ever do a self-portrait as a result. I finally did one, and it was very therapeutic. Especially, when painted in Oils, that media will test your patients. The hand has just finished touching my face, leaving it with feelings of self-loathing, which I project at the viewer... Unfortunatily this reproduction darkened the background and lost the edge and the shadow of the black shirt...
