“Were-Raven” 8.5”x11” Pencil & Digital on paper.
This was an illustration for my “Alternative Were-Beast Rules” for D20 D&D. There are twelve moons on Eberron, and sense Lycanthropes are tied to the moon, then why not have twelve species of Lycanthrop, and there by having twelve different Lycanthropes.

If you’re a DM, or just curious you can find my rules for WereRavens, and Raven Shifters here: http://werevarmint.timduru.org/dnd/dndraven.htm

“Jonice” 9”x11” Pen & Ink on paper.
This was an illustration for my “Alternative Were-Beast Rules,” and an NPC from the Eberron game I just got done running, he is what is called a shifter. A descendent from a natural lycanthrop, and a human breeding. Wizards finally gave furs a playable furry race! Anyways, there are twelve moons on Eberron, and sense Lycanthropes are tied to the moon, then why not have twelve species of Lycanthrop, and there by having twelve different shifter sub-types, and here is one. I created “Fox Shifters” descended from werefoxes.

Ink & Marker on paper, The title of this one is "Oh my God! I'm a Racoon!". Cause thats what you say, when you find that for no reason you've been turned into a racoon.

3corner.jpg
Image: 3corner.jpg   776x575 95759 bytes 2001.12.17

"Cornered," 18" x 24" oil on masonite. As usual, this one looks better in real life, my scanner really didn't like this painting. A Coyote Legionnaire, is trapped! Now he must fight his way out of his deadly situation. I know its cheesy, but I really enjoyed painting this one. This one is just for me. *Big Stoopid Grin*

3latina.jpg
Image: 3latina.jpg   750x525 46067 bytes 2002.04.21

"Young Planet," PhotoShop 6.0. Another Space-Scape, this one also a furry planet, in its early evolutionary periods. You can see by the large cooling volcanos, and the debris ring. Earth may have looked much like this at one point.

Its dominated by latino anthro Dinosouars, who all like wareing white suits, and drink Margeritas. *Grin*

Use your imagination.

3magesgruff.jpg
Image: 3magesgruff.jpg   519x700 184230 bytes 2001.05.25

Acrylic on masonite, 30" x 40". Its a false bookcover. This idea is based on the faerie tale 3 billy goats gruff. This is called 3 Mages Gruff, and instead of a troll, there is a very smart Dragon. I assure you that this story dosen't have a happy ending.

3nupiter.jpg

"Nupiter, and its moon Shadey," PhotoShop 6.0. I some times like doing space-scapes to get my creative juices flowing. Quick digital paintings like this can really help break up artist block for me.
This one is colonised by anthro Raccoons, so its furry *BIG GRIN* See the city lights on the dark side?...I did this one while Shadey Raccoon, was visiting me, and he suggested the name Nupiter, so I named one of the planets moons after him as well.

3return.jpg
Image: 3return.jpg   700x700 109041 bytes 2002.04.17

"The Return," 10" x 10" PhotoShop 6.0. In 1991, I drew an 11" x 14" pencil on paper image. It was of a young 2nd Lieutenant Raccoon, walking next to a large futuristic APC (Armored Personnel Carrier), on a snow covered alien land scape. He looked tired, and lost in thought. It was for me at the time one of my best works (Unfortunately the original was stolen). Then in 1993 I painted a space scape of a large golden orange planet (18" x 24" acrylic on canvas). I called it "Hero," it has been the subject of many personal short stories. That painting was sold in 1996.

Now an older Raccoon carrying the rank of Commander, returns to one of the arctic moons of "Hero." 11 years have past, both the Raccoon, and I have had many adventures, and long painful journeys. We have learned many lessons, and Innocence is but a Dream. But at least there are some constants for us both. The Stars, the Planets, and Our Dreams of each others world.....................

Never forget your Dreams.

3self.jpg
Image: 3self.jpg   420x572 54950 bytes 2003.02.02

"Self Loathing," 18" x 24" Oil on masonite. I have never been comfortable with my appearance, who I'am, or even what I'am. I have refused to ever do a self-portrait as a result. I finally did one, and it was very therapeutic. Especially, when painted in Oils, that media will test your patients. The hand has just finished touching my face, leaving it with feelings of self-loathing, which I project at the viewer... Unfortunatily this reproduction darkened the background and lost the edge and the shadow of the black shirt...

I was reading a book on the spirituality of the artist called "The Artist Way", and one of the exercises was to give the demon that tells you, you are a failure a physical image (the demon called the Censor). It could be anything, this gives you power over it. I was happy with the pic, but the person it looks like is not. *Shrug* oh well...

Enjoy.

"Merchant Captain," 8.5" x 11" pen & ink. A Merchant Captain, poses noblily after counting his profit. I'm not to fond of boars, but after drawing this one, I found some kind of appeal. Plus, there are not enough boars drawn, in fact there are a whole slew of creatures that are ignored by the fandom. "Untitled" 8.5" x 11" brush pen & ink on bristol. I don't normally upload unfinished pieces. I don't know what else to do with this, I do like it however. It was a quick 10 min. anatomy study that got away from me, and became this...That tends to happen sitting in IHOP at 2 am...

“Justifier Bear” 5” x 7” ink on paper:
I did three illustrations for an RPG biased on a little known Anthropomorphic Sci-Fi game called “Justifiers”. It was first published in 1988, and I have run it on and off sense 1989 or 90. It is completely and utterly out of print, and hard to find, but I took the initiative to convert it to D20 rules, and meant to do more illustrations for it but never got around to it…

This one is a bear lurking in the shadows, with a side arm, and claws ready to strike…

Enjoy.

This one is an otter using his environment to his advantage, holding a United Industries A-2 assault rifle (standard issue). The band across the top of his head is a communications headset, and the rest is blaa blaa blaa…

5red1.jpg
Image: 5red1.jpg   541x700 95569 bytes 2001.12.17

"Red," 8.5" x 11" pen & ink on paper. This is a piece I did for a story by Elan Ruskin called "Red" it will be appearing in issue #5 of Anthrolations. Its a little like "Company of Wolves," a movie from the 80's that I like a great deal, but any how. The wolf is supposed to be "semi-anthro," notice his shoulders, He spends most of the time on all fours, but can get up on 2 when he has to. Mr. Wolf and Red are have a little conversation, after he gave her a flower. This image © Sofa Wolf Press. http://www.sofawolf.com

"What do you do with a Drunken Sailor," 8.5" x 11" pen & ink. This is the finished product, if you have to do any detail work in white on large black areas, I suggest coloring in black, and drawing the white in with a white gel pen, or white acrylic paint and a 10/0 brush. You can also make corrections this way to. Now for the summery: Two raccoon sailors sing a drunken Irish sailor song. This one inspired by a pic that a friend of mine drew, that makes me to happy. This image has been picked up by, and is © Sanguine Productions Ltd. http://www.sanguineproductions.com

"Fancy Dance," Pen & Ink on Bristol. Is he a were-skunk performing some powerful Spiritual ritual? Is he calling on his mighty ancestral spirit? Summoning lighting sky to strike down non-believers?!... Nah, I think he's just trying to impress some girl at a pow-wow...

"Xena Coon," 8.5" x 11" Pen & ink on paper. I bet you all thought I was gone, didn't you. *Evil Grin* Nope! Just been having a really bad case of Artist Block, it starting to work it self out now though. So, after months of not posting anything here's a Drawing I did for Nikon Raccoon. It only took a year and a half, and a set of Albedo RPG books. *weak grin* Oh yea, and I finally up-dated my web-site to. If you like space-scapes & Fursuits, I got a few I just did on there. "Fur in a Bar," 24" x 30" Acrylic on Masonite. Yes this is a painting. My Ode to Andy Worhal. Even though I really don't like most of Worhal's work. This was inspired by cutting thumbnails for my web site ( http://www.themarchhare.org ). I just like a thumb nail so much I painted large, and added a touch of color. This wasn't as easy to paint as one might think.
