BerliCon 9 T-Shirt Design
Sooo ... Riffuchs asked me last year if I wanted to illustrate the front of this year's BerliCon t-shirt. The theme was supposed to be along the lines of the end of the world and a flood. I enjoyed working on this piece, especially since I rarely get to do cel shading. :) It's already half a year old, so it might be not up to par with my more recent works but I hope you like it anyway. :)\r\n\r\nCredit for the basic idea goes to Phelan.

Well ... I hope the piece explains itself, so no big words here.\r\n\r\n[For sale at MMC 15 art show.]

One of my favourites of my recently finished paintings.\r\nAnd my first real attempt at painting wet fur that's supposed to be wet fur ... I think.\r\nPlease enjoy. (Inspired by the song "Erzšhl mir die Geschichte" by Wise Guys.)\r\n\r\n[Maybe for sale at MMC 15 art show.]

Not really new but not really old, either.\r\nI finished this piece already quite some time ago, but (for whatever reason) never uploaded it anywhere ... until now. :) It's been a while since I illustrated a silver fox, even though they're such pretty creatures.\r\nAnyway, I hope you like it. :)\r\n\r\n[Will be for sale at MMC art show]

Another piece I finished shortly before EF and didn't upload yet ... This piece is one of my personal favorites and I'm glad it found a loving new home.\r\nIt really was a whole lot of work I put into this piece - no wonder if you consider its size. This piece is about 45x65cm (around 17,5"x25,5") and I'm happy I finally painted such a big piece again. :)

One of the pieces I finished shortly before EF, but I couldn't post it due to lack of time.\r\nI think everyone should have their own thoughts regarding this piece.

The last A4 piece for EF art show. :) Finally ... so "only" the bigger pieces are left to be painted.\r\nSame technique as the paintings I posted before but on a different paper - which didn't work as I had hoped, but I think I'm slowly getting a grip of that whole technique and what paper to use thing ... or so I hope.\r\nAnyways, I hope you like that young lady. ;)\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 17 art show.

Come to me ...
Nooooo! Don't go there!!! D:\r\n\r\nErr ... I mean ... here's the finished version of the WIP I posted yesterday.\r\nTwo days of work. Two whole days of work ... I'm so slow ... :')\r\nBut I guess it turned out good enough to use it for my portfolio. Thanks a lot for looking, I hope you like it. :)\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 15 art show.

Made of stars
I painted this piece last night, finishing it around 6 am ... leaving me with only 2 hours of sleep ... Oh well ... but I'm rather content with the outcome. The anatomy is somewhat messy, but I enjoyed painting it quite a lot since I was working on Bamboo Mixed Media paper (I just love that one, especially because the new Bristol paper is such a pain in the a** to work on :')).\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 17 art show.

A young fennec sitting on the beach and enjoying her very own fireworks ...\r\nThe scan's rather crappy compared to the original, maybe I can manage to get a better one sometime before EF. :)\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 17 art show.

Some time ago I ran out of paper. Thus, I had to use an other brand of Bristol paper than I usually do ... Thrice as expensive and hell! I hated it the moment my brush touched it. :) That paper was quite awful and was nothing like the wonderful one I used before (which is incredibly hard to get where I live). This is one of the pieces I did on the new paper. I'm not all that dissatisfied with it, but I think I already painted better pieces. The new paper sucked too much paint, making the picture seem less saturated ... it was a horrible experience. Yet, I enjoyed painting a rather carefree (haha) piece again. :)\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 17 art show.

... will she ever come?\r\nFinally back to painting ... I really enjoyed painting this piece, though it's a rather sad picture.\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 17 art show.

Small but powerful
I wanted to draw something small but powerful, so I tried to think of a small animal I'd never be afraid of ... and a squirrel came to my mind.\r\nI'm not really happy with the outcome, but I hope you like it anyways ... (':\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 17 art show.

More than anything ...
Some kind of illustration I did in between for some kind of graphic novel I'm working on ... Maybe you remember the characters from the "chess" pictures I did last year. :)\r\nThis piece was a pain in the *** to scan, so I hope those who get the chance to see the original at EF 17 art show will do so. :)\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be for sale at EF 17 art show.

Since a lot of people already posted their submissions for this year's conbook, I feel rather silly for only wanting to post it after EF ... So, yeah, I was asked if I wanted to make a full color illustration for the conbook, too ... and I agreed (obviously).\r\nI decided to go for something that has nothing to do with Kung Fu or fighting - Chinese mythology.\r\nI tried to illustrate the parting of Chang'e and Houyi ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chang%27e ). I chose the first version of the story as I think it's way more emotional than the second one.\r\nOh well ... what's more to say? I hope you like it, though it's something rather simple for a change. :)\r\n\r\n\r\nOriginal will be available at EF 17 art show.

Don't move ...
I'm rather happy with the outcome of this piece, especially since I learned quite a lot about using Copic markers for texturing.\r\nAnyways, I put a lot of work into this piece to try out new things and to find out that Copic markers are rather tricky to use on such small surfaces (A4). Fiddling with all the small details there sure took some time.\r\nOh well, enough about the blabbering, I just hope you like it!\r\n\r\nThe original (done with mixed media) will be for sale at EF 17 art show.\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd still: Don't try this at home, kids! You won't be able to shoot an arrow properly like this.

Commissioned by Northwestspiritwolf as a companion piece to "Night gaze".\r\nI really loved the idea, so I took on the commission even though I usually don't do acrylic paintings as commissioned works for private persons.\r\nI enjoyed painting this piece as well. :)

Balu and Nikky in love
This was a digital flat color commission done for the very kind tobi3b.\r\nI really enjoyed drawing this piece, Balu and Nikky are such cute characters.\r\n\r\nBalu & Nikky © tobi3b\r\n\r\n(I'm currently open for commissions. If you're interested, just contact me. :))

I still hear your whisper
This piece was inspired by some historic facts about the real Maude (You still remember that awesome story, don't you?) Vixyyfox told me ...\r\nOne of them being that the "real" Maude stopped flying after her love died.\r\nA piece about loss (again) ...\r\n\r\nI finished this piece only shortly before MMC (actually, I was already done with my work for this con but then inspiration bit me and wouldn't let me rest until I painted this picture). It's rather big (21x51cm/8,3"x20") and I really enjoyed working on a big piece again.\r\nI hope you like it, too.\r\n\r\n(The original was sold at MMC art show.)

Phew ... That was quite some work ... My last piece for MMC art show.\r\nI had this piece in my mind for quite some time, but I never finished it until now. I'm glad I did, though ... The scan's not really great (as the paper is still a bit wrinkled) and the sky's not as blue as on the original but I think it turned out well enough. I hope you like this piece. As for me ... I am quite pleased with the outcome ... I guess ... I love using antiquated techniques. :)\r\n\r\nAs for the content ... well, I think the piece explains itself well enough ... Tell me what you think about it, I'd love to hear your interpretations of it.\r\n\r\nThe original will be for sale at MMC art show.

\r\nWhere else can true innocence be found if not in the heart of a flower?\r\n\r\nThis piece was lying around unfinished at my place for ages ... but I'm glad I finally finished it. This is one of the few pieces that turned out like it was supposed to and like I had it in my mind.\r\nThe scan's a bit dark, though ...\r\nI hope you like it anyways. :)\r\n\r\n\r\nThe original will be for sale at MMC art show.

\r\nUh ... well ... I'm afraid I don't have much to say about this piece, as I was hoping it would speak for itself ...\r\n\r\nA lot went wrong while painting this piece, especially when I tried to apply the final color layer ... but I also learned quite a lot. I am always trying new things and for this picture I tried to improve my skills for under paintings ... I have still a lot to learn, but I think I'm slowly starting to develop some kind of hate-love relationship with my acrylics. *laughs*\r\n\r\nMost of you might not like it since it's so gloomy. However, to me this piece means quite a lot. :)\r\n\r\n\r\nThe original will be for sale at MMC art show.

It's been quite some time since I last worked on black paper ... and I really did enjoy doing so again.\r\nAnd since it's black paper, I just had to draw a black cat - or rather a black panther ... gargoyle ... thing ...\r\nAnyways, I hope you like him. :)\r\n\r\nThe original will be for sale at MMC art show.

Don't let go
This piece was inspired by a painting named "Tenderness" by the amazingly talented Alpha Ki.\r\nI could write a thousand words and more about what I had in mind while painting this piece. However, I want everyone to have the possibility to interpret it for themselves.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnyways, I really enjoyed painting this piece, even though the sketch was already quite old ... I missed painting anthropomorphic creatures, as it is somewhat relaxing for me to paint them. :)\r\n\r\nThe original will be for sale at MMC art show.

It's been a while since I uploaded something. But since MMC is drawing near, I should hurry up and finish all the unfinished paintings lying around at my place. :)\r\nThe sketch for this piece was rather old, so there sure are a lot of mistakes concerning the shape of the head and such ...\r\nAnyways, I originally wanted to add more details and layers to this one but Tabalon told me to leave it like that (even though it's just the underpainting ...). And ... so I did.\r\nThe colors might look odd on your screen if your contrast is too high or something like that ... But I hope you like it anyways! :)\r\nIts something rather unusual from me, but it's fun to try new things.\r\n\r\nWill be for sale at MMC art show.

What are you?
A mouse and a dunnowhat wondering what the other one is since they never met a strange creature like that before.\r\nAnother one of the bigger pieces for the art show.\r\nI developed that character/species already some time ago. The sketch for this one was rather old, too. I'm not really satisfied with the outcome but maybe you like it anyways. :)

You shall be mine
Yet another piece for Eurofurence 16 art show.\r\nI had a piece like that in my mind for quite some time now ... I'm kinda glad I was finally able to draw it.\r\nOriginally, I planned on making her a black cat with red hair (combing the black cat with the red haired witch ... oh clichť ...), but due to some recent happenings I just wasn't able to picture anything but a fox for this piece ...\r\nAnyways, I hope you like her, even though she's rather simple.\r\nOh and ... it was my first time using Copic paper ... and probably the last time as well. ^^;
