She was known as Kore prior to being abducted by Hades, and thusly she would be Kore in this scene... a lover of beauty as she is, the young maiden's attention is captured by some new and unusual flowers... she picks several and sits by a stream admiring them. Hades, Lord of the Underworld, catches sight of the daughter of Demeter and sees in her everything he does not have in his Realm of the Dead... I tried to show the energies of the two through colour and mild symbolism... this was a pencil sketch I coloured with cheapo laurentien coloured pencils.

I didn't draw this up there, I drew it after I'd been down for a few hours... but I'm very happy with how it turned out, managed to capture all the details of what I was wearing except for a gold chain round my throat and the bell'd anklet on my right leg... ah well, next time };o)~

Nooo promises };o)= She's a bit of a gothic figure... experienced some sort of trauma at an early age which warped her for life. Oh ain't that fun! Also there's some sort of past/future life parrallels... mmm love those. Anyway, it's still all quite conceptual. This piece is just me working on developing a consistent way of inking her.
