The would-be mascot for the anime club at a friend's comic shop, Gotham City Limits (www.gothamcitylimits.com). "Would-be" meaning a) I was months too late to enter in the art contest and b) the so-called friend is ignoring me now. But here she is anyway! Half-cat, half-bat, with toxic green pleather sewn every which-way! I was thinking of a name along the lines of "Acyd" or "Toxique," but it's so cliche'! Here's the apprentices, re-uploaded because a bit of the cream speckles of the Calligraphic Parchment Paper were showing in the scan, so it was automatically moved to "Sketches," *mumble grumble*. I forgot to use my blender on anyone but Rheyanna (remind me next time that Prismacolor black really does come out black). Kyralic looks the best. A Valentines present for Duster that is horribly late, and horribly washed-out. Bad scanner! In any case, the first picture I've done entirely in Prismacolors. Compression took a tiny bit of color out of this one, but that's mostly due to my using Corel Photo-Paint... Narcissus was a nice color of purple there, here he's just too dark and too light at the same time. Anyway, this is a pony version of the Greek myth of Echo and Narcissus. Long story short, Narcissus denied several women, one of which was the wood nymph Echo, who had earlier betrayed (who was it, Athena?) and been forced to speak only with a mimic. Distraught, she pined and withered until she died and her body became the rocks of caves (hence echoes), meanwhile Narcissus was punished by the Gods to always want his reflection in a magic pond but never be able to have it. Phew, not so short anyway! This art is © to me.

This is a picture I drew rather recently (considering I haven't drawn much very recently at all) of all of the Sisters in Pristine's story; her apprentices. Rheyanna, Potpourri, Adryanna, etc.... including Kyralic, who is shown here. I cut her out to show someone a while back and decided to put it up here 'cuz it's how I wanted her to look. A very, very old picture of some friends of mine from the Furcadian "Equine Wall" in the VINCA: Lady Della (left) and Rah'shan. I think Lady Della looks a little too spanish in this picture, but it was fun experimenting with what I did... black marker and then a white-out pen for the lines! A picture in graphite of one of my favorite equine characters, Kyralic. She's actually supposed to be a unicorn (it's my fault I left that out in this picture) but she stands a very short 5 feet and is probably one of the cutest things to ever exist equine-wise. Of course, if you tell that to her face, she'll most likely gut you. Kyralic and artwork are both © to me.

A little something I did for the Furcadian Winter Festival. Danival should think it's funny, anyway. I doubt I'll win the art contest with it, but it's something. Hah. It's funny, see? Because normally you have the reindeer... pulling the sleigh and the elves... riding in it and... now you've got the... reindeer... riding... elves... pulling... hah... hahaha? Shut up. I knew I didn't want to buy a crapload of Christmas cards this year, so I figured I could make my own. Thus the Candycane-icorn was born. I think I could have done better on some parts and worse on others. I believe I may be getting rather good at horse anatomy. Or maybe I'm just silly! In any case, the picture overall is nice. Okay, YES this picture is rather mightily big. I really would hate to lose all that scalework after I nearly ruined my hand on it, though. Sadly enough (and, just like any OTHER drawing of mine), where I may have done well with the drawing and the shading, my inking skills were down the drain! A random angel cat girl I did for an ex-boyfriend of mine. By now, I'm sure anyone and everyone who's looked through my VCL archives has noticed I prefer to work in a) graphite and b) computer media. I love both because both can go down so smoothly and still give a person a chance to shade and detail. I like graphite most of all because I don't have to draw, then put up the drawing utensils and pull out the coloring ones, I just go on coloring! Whee! Anyway... love and fishsticks. Arianrod, modelled after the goddess, one of my favorite characters and also one of my more dead ones. This picture's anatomy is -all- wrong, but I could try and call it stylistic and probably get away with it. Ahnyaerin (say that one ten times fast)... my -completely obvious- Felicia spoof. I made her a while back when RPing with an ex-boyfriend, and just couldn't let go of her. My centuniaffe! Part centaur, part unicorn, part giraffe, no? Talk about crazy drawings. It was another hapless sketch in my sketchbook until I decided to color and shade it, and do both badly! Yay!
