This image was inspired by a dream. I got up that morning and sketched it out, so please don't crucify me on the details of the armor or anything, I tried to be true to the image I had in my head. I also decided *not* to re-size the wings, since at this size they worked better in the composition. Mixed media on illustration board, original sketch done Feb. 12, 2002.

"May all beings be free from fear." In the end, I decided against coloring this piece, I like the ink work too much. This was drawn from a Tibetan sculpture of Kuan Yin, and I have no idea who the original artist was. Of course, their Kuan Yin was human, but I didn't let that stand in my way. The cover of a Cash mixdisc I made for a friend. Johnny Cash just reminds me of a big ol' black Crow. This is about actual size, or it's supposed to be. It looks a lot bigger on the screen. ovO

I'm doing this noirish, artsy thing where I crop off parts of the character and use this moody grayscale.

Collect them all! I reworked this from a marker drawing I'd done in 2001, though it's a bit late out of the gate, since they don't make a certain brightly-colored computer anymore. They all come in white now. Watercolor and pencil. Dec. 2003.

Kwakira is an anthro Mandarin Duck done to illustrate an article in a RP magazine. I have no idea who owns the rights to the character. Yes, he has a shell strapped to his head. It's a long story.

This one took some time to finish, but I won't get into all the stalls and pitfalls here. The original measures 14 x 14 inches, and had to be scanned in four sections. What's going on is Syrris, the lion with the plate of fish, builds mechanical gryphons, one of which is Steelclaw there on the left. He's just given her a sense of smell, and she's checking out the scents of all the foods, while Pshaw helps herself to some stuffed mushrooms. Sept. - Dec. 2003

Another piece done for a mail art project, this one was "A Pride of Leos" notebook. I couldn't think of anything great and profound to write about being a Leo, so I drew a picture. Markers and technical pens on sketch paper, mounted on heavy colored paper.
