Finally got around to doing a decent [color] picture of one of my favorite...but sadly least used characters. Zapora was a construct, created to be a companion and focus...but learned all too easily how to hone the rare abilities he gave to her. Her affinity to gold is rooted in its power to amplify her own many fold. Here she cradles a newborn [Tenyo] of one of those who claim to "own" her...or at least use her in exchange for the gold she harvests.

Took a brief moment for myself and drew one of my newest characters, Soliel. The long and the short of him is that he's a demon...a Courrier to be more specific. But, with the space that I have, I'm not going to get anymore in depth than that. This image technically is the "Sniff" pic for my slot on a new role playing community called Avatuar (Curious? It's just www.avataur.com Better hurry up though cause they're about to start making people pay).

I dunno what it is about her, but Sestina has to be one of THE most beautiful characters I've ever thought up. At least as far as I'm concerned. Heh, much as Furc still sucks ass, I still appreciate the source of inspiration that it can be.

This is Sestina. She's not a cat. She's not a fox. She's not an antelope. She's a digitally rendered toy with...a bit of a problem (and no, it's not an obession with chasing stripped rat things =^-6=). And that's all you're gettin right now.

Yet another new Furc character. Karatoke is his name and he's...well just a rather interesting character. He's a leafy sea dragon (a member of the sea horse species), but is in all truth about the length of an asian dragon, and just about as twisty and bendy.

I'm not gonna type out his whole story, but the general gist of it is that he's one of the twelve guardians of a special room. The Spirit Room. A certain force (too lengthy a history to explain) cast him and the other guardians away and sent them into exile.

Ah Raven...mm, nother absolutely wonderful character to rp as.

A white lion with a mixed parentage that his father, Drake Amberlain set up to try and create perfection. That's what he wanted in his son, that he himself might attain the highest status of a saint...by channeling any corruption within himself into Raven, his son. To do, he took Raven since birth and worked away at him through chemicals, and torture and tests to twist and bend the channels within his son meant for various feelings. This left Raven as a sick, deeply twisted individual that is driven to hurt others by any any means possible to seek some form of pleasure...some form of relief from the torment he feels within.

Gah, been forgetting character pics everywhere! Heh, this right here has to be one of my absolute favorite characters. Yeah, with Furcadia it's pretty easy to create a character on a given idea, whim, or mood...and then later you lose that mood and the character just becomes moot and worthless. This guy right here though is gonna always stick around.

Sei (called Forest Hymn on Furcadia in case you're interested)is another mixed up creature of mine. Originally a tree spirit, the silver oak that he had resided in was felled...but for whatever reason, he didn't die. Instead he became merged with an animal spirit nearby, that of a Ki'lin. Hence his altered appearance.

Mmm, I have NO idea where this guy came from but he's just absolutely one of the most awesome characters I've ever played as.
Akue was lost as an egg, which happened to find its way down a hole in the Earth. This hole surprisingly led to an underground cavern in which there was nothing but a pool of water and an overhead swath of stones embedded in the ceiling. The way the story goes then, somehow the water was warm enough and of some special composition to hatch a pheonix's egg. The stones in the ceiling actually contained spirits. Spirits that tore out his eyes when he was young, so he could see them and taught him to speak with them. The story goes on from there and is much more detailed. All you need to know though is that he is Akue, The Mask Maker.

A strong combination between Alucard from Hellsing and Samara from The Ring, my Nissel...rr Nissel, my lovely lovely brain child is one of my new favorite characters. Not half as psycotic as she looks, most times anyways, she's just a VERY interesting role to slip into.

Heh, I won't go into her story at all though because I'd no doubt exceed my desc space limit.

Ryo...ah Ryo is a rather messed up character of mine. His mother was a concubine who lived and dwelled within his father's house (who wasn't his father at the time). The man (and I mean human man) was a leather-smith of sorts. His moher was a special breed of tiger that was SUPPOSED to be fertile only a certain time of the year. Something happened to her though, and she ended up having Ryo here.

AS a hybrid of such two creatures (and one that actually survived infancy at that), he is very rare. Which naturally made him a perfect target for science. It turns out that his mother's breed had an element of feral to it and it this was then passed to Ryo. So, scientists are constantly using him to try and unlock what can make him feral and then un-make him again.

Perhaps the loneliest of all creatures in the world are the un-intended half breeds. What you see here before you is the mixing of an anthro Raven (Maru's mother) and a full blooded lupine (his father). Even knowing that it went against both of their clan's ethics to mix with other clans-they did so anyways-believing they were in love with one another. Their offspring, though beautiful to them was hardly so to either of the elders from their respective tribes. So in the end they had had to get rid of the child to remain with their people.

The place they found for him was the Furcadian Slave Pens (TSP). The sign outside had been covered by the crowds milling about outside and after wandering inside they had figured that it must have been an orphanage of some kind. The owners did nothing to disprove this and so earned another slave-however young he was at the time-to add to their already considerable numbers.

Now, Maru is 17 summers old, still wearing the thick leather collar that had first been given to him when he was but a pup. Not many look his way do his scruffy, nude form, body covered with a mixture of fur and feathers, with his two full sized raven wings looming behind him. Perhaps if you have the heart to look behind his appearance and softened speech, you'll find a true treasure?

Daringly embarking from our normal territories of AIM and Yahoo, my mate and I venture out onto the vast lands of Furcadia. Here would be my beloved mate's image and description-which isn't too far from how his normal character looks.

Upon first glance you'd think this furre was only an extremely dark furred, silver-backed jackal. In all truth though, she is much more than that. A demon to be precise. A creature straight out of Belgian folklore; a creature called a Kludde. Sure, it's name sounds laughable, but it's purpose is hardly something to joke about. The Kludde's are a breed of demons that would take the forms of a dark furred dog, cat, or bird (all with wings)that could move like a serpent. Their bodies would be draped with chains to wrattle and warn travelers on the roads of the impending danger. For the Kluddes fed on travelers, devouring them right there out on the roads and leaving nothing but their bones to rot on the wayside.

Salem is one such Kludde. Her chains are a bit different that the others but...she likes it that way.Many years ago she was forced out of the only lifestyle she knew, to be thrust into the Furcadian lands after being captured by a hunter that did not take kindly to her attempt on his life. Now she serves anyone who dares to command her within the realm of Furcadia; unable to flee seeing as her wings were removed to prevent her escape. Naturally this can make her ill-tempered...so what out.

Living a life that shouldn't really exist. Living in a land that has forgotten he's there. And living under a name that isn't really his own-this dark furred creature is a truly odd case indeed. He has no memory of his parents, nor what they had called him, or what sort of life he had lived before becoming lost. From as long as he can remember, he has lived in the Furcadian lands...specifically The Slave Pens, looking on without hope for a reason to live.

One of his mistress's took interest at some point and looked into his history-actually managing to trace his parents as far back as records were kept on them. She discovered why they "abandoned him" but kept that secret from him until he was older. She also discovered that their last name was Reese (Ree-s)and so he has taken up that part of his name as the last treasured part of them that he can have. Nicholai was merely something she thought was pretty as a first name. Reagrdless, he'll readily inform anyone who asks that he has not a clue what his real name is and that they may call him what they wish.

Day by day down in the pens has worn away his concern for himself. If anything it has awakened several morbid curiosities within him-though those usually remain unmentioned. Perhaps somewhere though, there IS hope waiting for this young bat-eared fox kit. And perhaps those that get to know him may find more of a treasure than they expected...
