4 of 8.

Originally these pics were going to have captions of Tina's thoughts, self-narrating why she gets such a kick out of slogging through the muck. At this point she would've been describing to the viewer what a thrill she's getting standing in almost eight inches of gooey muck wearing only maryjanes, (of all things), and still hasn't gotten any mud inside them, thanks to their massive platform soles.

I've been experimenting with ways to improve the shading, highlights and outlines of the eyes. I may actually be on to something.

5th in a series of 8, and first pic I've completed in '05

Now more confident in her shoes' ability to handle the mud (remember those massive platforms hidden in the muck), Tina ventures into an area even wetter (evidenced by the pools of standing water), and sinks in just a little bit more.

Number 6 of 8 (but only 7 being posted)

In case you forgot just how big those platforms were...
Tina, momentarily off balance when her left foot sinks a little further than expected as her weight shifts to it.

In the course of trying to depict her mud-caked right shoe, I may have inadvertently learned how to draw a very wet surface. I wonder what that may be useful for, hmm...?

(yeah, I know--pr0n :D) Anyway,

#8 Conclusion.

Having successfully crossed the mud, Tina takes a seat on solid ground, displaying the mess she's made of her shoes. Just as intended, she made it across without getting any inside her shoes.

#7 in the series was skipped since the original intent was to let her bog down past the tops of the shoes, after which she'd go for broke and keep slogging forward till she reached dry land. When time came to color these, the conclusion was altered, leaving it an orphan.

And yes, the 'panty shot' was an entirely unplanned detail.

'Tina' as she appeared in 'What, Me Furry?". Brush-inked during C-ACE, digital color with Micrografx Picture Publisher 8. "Dutch" platforms by Steve Madden.

(Observation) I seem to be getting better at rendering semi-shiny surfaces. Spooky.

That was Foul, Yo!

Cynthia assured Tanya that it was OK to cross that huge slush puddle. After all, she's wearing the same boots and standing in the deepest part with no effect whatsoever.

However, she didn't tell her about wrapping her feet in plastic bags before slipping into those boots. I think that was intentional, since zippered boots usually aren't waterproof :)

Detail of "Wakeup Call"

When I originally inked "Wakeup", I spent a fair amount of time (okay, a few minutes during a local 'furmeet') inking the hair and its highlights.

The amount of detail didn't translate well when I colored the pic (too complicated), and I wound up replacing the inkwork with a simplified set of color highlights and shadow.

Depicted here is a detail shot of the original inkwork before I colored it, all done with a size 2 Windsor & Newton round-bristle brush and Speedball ink. It's also one of the best examples of the technique I've done to date.

We all know the feeling. For some of us, it hits too early. Tanya reacts to the racket of a less than pleasant alarm clock.

A hot day in the park finds Tina letting a water hose run till it's cold enough for refreshment. With those sandals, it's anyone's guess as to whether she knows she's flooding the immediate area.

What, me Hentai?

Tanya is a bit upset at finding out she's been depicted cosplaying a character in a hentai manga ("Fall in Hole in Wall Girl"). More detailed description available at [Comment] link.

Micro R/C was still relativley new when this piece was created, hence the expression on Tina's face when her boyfriend Todd took his Civic for a "test drive". Too bad real Zip Zaps won't climb hills like that :)
