Likeshine for the Yerf Trading post, 9/24/2004

I drew this to thank all the people drawing Haoma's fursona on Yerf at my request. I love the pictures they've done so far. So Cute! Mine! Well... they're Haoma's birthday present actualy, but they're still mine.

I wanted a more pg13 rated copy of this image of Haoma, so I cut the words and the naked Rea out of it. It's a butt shot, but I think that will work out better for what it's needed for.
The arabic letering next to his leg is tipped sideways to look like a jerboa with a pipe in it's mouth. It says 'Haoma'. :) Jerboas have 5 toes on their hind feet.

Well now it's colored, and I can enter it, but it's not done by any means. I'm working on tweeking the shoulders into a position where they'll actualy conect to his torso. I'll have to alter the color after I've finished that, and then I'm done. But today is Friday so I have to get my Trading Post picture in. Hopefully I have enough momentem established to keep going and finish this. I like it as is in any event, and it's a major acomplishment for me in terms of computer coloring. Haoma told me this is the sort of work he'd buy prints of. Perhaps I should sell prints. :)

It's been a long time since I've entered a Trading Post picture, but I'm on vacation this week so I decided to draw one. This character is too cool! Koirin belongs to Vantid, and this drawing belongs to Rea.

Saelahvi, goddess of... um yeah I don't actualy know. I've gotta ask Sera about that. Anyway this is part of a trade between myself and the amazing Sera Keen. It's not done, but I need to give her an update on the progress, and I'm just so in love with this image so far that I thought I'd share it here too. It's not actualy green, I just played with the Hue on photoshop. Right now it's not colored. Image drawn with sharpie on wood, with moderate carving. Mixed media to folow. Saelahvi belongs to Sera Keen.

Desdemona for The Yerf June Secret Santa. The theam this month was monocrom. Yeah I know there are sort of two colors in there. Red-Orange is a color. A color which I abused the peramiters of a bit. :) Desdemona is Copy right to Desdemona the artist.

I was playing in paint at work because that's all we have at work (lame computers!). I wanted to make my roomie an icon, so I started big. The smaller version is going in my scetches directory because it's really just a lame thumbnail or no consiquence, but this pic I thought was rather good for being made on paint. SaraKitty is copyright to Rea and no one else. She is based largely on Mrs Sara Ford, the coolest person ever!

Horray! I finished! *joy* Drawn for the wonderfull Lizard Beth, or Liz Boriss if you perfer. :) I love her work, so I spent a little extra time this week to celebrate her winning the TP.
Note: Easter Island belongs to Chile. Iguana's only swim in the Galapagos as far as I know, and the galapagos belong to Ecuador (so we have the distance of Peru to consider here). I'm geographicaly retarded this week. Not that it matters much since I made up a few of the fish. I love tropical fish!

Yay! look I drew something for me. :) I like doing that. I should do a pic a week for the tp and a pic a week for me. My hand hurts thinking about that, so maybe not..
A bit of background: Haoma and I went to see a show of Egyptian sufi (sp?) dancers. The dancers wear galabias and other bright costumes, and the main dancer wears a big round skirt, simaler to the background of this pic. The main dancer then spins in a circle for up to half an hour or more. They do this for spiritual enlightenment. Arabic writing contributed by Haoma. Verse from the Koran

This was drawn as a commision for my boss. She wanted a drawing of a tiger who would appear to be comming victoriously out of the darkness into the light. It is meant to be a visual metaphor for her brother's overcoming of cancer. He is generaly associated with tigers. Watercolor and prismacolor pencils on Bristol paper.
