I fail. This pic is playing off a previouse TP entry by Kilojara ( http://yerf.com/iB_html/uploads/post-12-52717-kidkasedries.jpg ) that I thought was one of the greatest puns ever. Yeah, so "Mew" is the coeficient of friction in Kinistetics (yay physics!) and AeroKat is copyrighted to Cindy Ramey.

The lack of other information about this individual made it hard to find a visual depiction for this person. I made a "piss" poor decision the other day and I am sorry. I retracted the previous image because it was not, and continues not to be, my intention to direct this at Canadians. It's not even directed at her nationality, just her advice. I felt that this individual’s criticism of my work was right on, and I agreed with it. However, furry art is not all that I draw. It's certainly not the most serious effort, just fun. To assume that she knows enough about my abilities to draw to advise me, led to her sounding patronizing. No further rant.

At first it was exciting, then it wasn't going where I wanted, and I finaly got up the motivation to move it along. I didn't upload the black and white, because quite frankly that version sucks. I think the colored pencils saved it. Inspirations for this I have to sharel: My roomie has this nice 20's/art neuvo lamp... and I watched Chicago right before I saw it. Combine that and jet lag after an 8hour flight across the Atlantic.

I changed everything around except the pose, and made her look like our kitten Dustin, who is also featured in the bottom left. Ink on Bristol (I like this paper. This is the first time I've used it. Fun stuff.)

I scetched the body about 6 months ago, and a combination of things sent me back to it. Wierd guy at the airport carying around a huge bundle of peacock feathers, and opulent Italian interiors.

I really have done more than this since returning, however, I'm cut off from the internet at home just now, so uploads will be few and far between. Anyway, this is what my mind makes at 3am on a graveyard shift. Maybe she's in a deep blue funk, or maybe those are what dreams look like... Photoshop and colored pencil.

Anyway this was inspiered by a lecture I atended on the work of Brancusi. It was much more styalized to start ot with, but I'm realizing that sort of abstraction isn't really my thing. I don't usualy finish a picture this fast, but I was excited. She's all styalized in my atempt to emulate artist that this is in honor of. Yay Roux!

Beautiful Bronze tan, blond dreds, tan shorts, standing next to the Weber building by the cat tails... It was aww inspiering. Inked on water color paper, colored with... What else, Water colors.
