blech..i attempted a fully black animal for the first time, and this is my result.
I used a dark grey for the base, layered it over with more grey, and then a black marker, using white prisamacolor pencils for highlights.

and let me tell you.
NEVER AGAIN.

i'm working on a new, semi-realistic style (slightly more exaggerated) than my old one, and because i hadn't done a gift for Akita in..well, eons, this is the product.
mostly it was a test scan to see if the creme picked up..which, if you notice, it didn't. the creme looks all yellow. *kicks scanner*

**the entirety of the picture is filled in with a light blue background, but my scanner only managed to pick up the darker parts, and therefore makes the picture looks grainy and effortless. But truly a lot of hard work went into this, and it looks around eighty times better IRL. xPP
