Rupee Badge

Out of all the skull badge methods I've tried thus far, I like this one the best<3 Stylized the skull this time, and the result is pretty pleasing. It's too bad though, that the cake stickers aren't very distinguishable :(

Shadowpelt Badge

Several things went off with this badge, but I think I saved it! To fit them on the badge, I had to shorten the ears.

I also accidentally drew the skull facing the same way as the face, but I designed it so now the face actually covers the skull most of the time. The idea is when you want to introduce yourself to someone, you can flip up the face and point out the name by the skull :D

The poor thing didn't photograph well though--the skull especially, looks a lot better in real life. And the string is actually neon blue and green.

I wanted to try a simpler type of badge, that I could do relatively quickly. I think it turned out ok...? The ring around his eyes and his name are actually red in real life, by the way.

Jazz Badge

A large badge of her pet chihuahua, Jazz, for The-Lancastrian of DA :3

She said that Jazz was built like a miniature lab, but I couldn't find any good ref pics online, so I had to use my own Jingle (he's half chihuahua, half corgi). Hence, the legs may be a bit on the short side (I've stared at it for so long that I can't tell anymore).

This particular badge is also a bit smaller than what I usually make. Perhaps my subconscious was thinking "tiny for chihuahuas?" XB

Air Raiser Badge--Mini

Mini badge for AirRaiser of DA. It's supposed to look like she's swinging the ax.

The ax charm on here is the most complicated one I've done so far; I really like how it turned out, even though the bubbles were unintentional. I think they give an old archaic feeling of the ax though. I'm glad I attempted this charm, since I learned a lot from doing it (such as yes, clay can be burnt).

My only qualm is that the colors appear to be way too orange-ish in the picture, but I can't think of how to fix that at the moment.

Badge for Winged Wolf, duh :B The full body shot looks a little funky because some of the beads were caught under his head--didn't notice until I was editing the pics. The proportions don't look nearly as bad in real life. At least the wings came out better than expected methinks.

Savvy Badge

Commission for Savvypanda of DA.

Turned out I didn't have the exact marker color that she had in her ref, so I color matched best I could. Such an awesome character design though! A real pleasure to draw. Added a tuft of hair to the back of the ankle, as without the extra anchorage I was afraid that the spur would break off.

Tried using a thinner paper for this one, but I think next time I'll stick with the thick cardstock.

The cupcake charm turned out the best, anyhow. Supposed to look like she's thinking/dreaming of the cupcake.

Rensis Badge

Mini/bookmark badge trade with Rensis. The hook is removable, to make it into a bookmark. I think in the future, I'll make the string shorter. Made the hammer charm as well, btw.

Oh and p.s. these type of badges aren't really meant to be stand alone (you can prolly tell by the uber tiny name), they're supposed to be clipped onto other badges really.

This badge was pretty traumatizing. I loved drawing the actual character and such, but when it came to the last step-laminating- things went horribly wrong.

Basically, I've found out that ad papers should stay as FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE from my badges yea. It sticks to the laminate and bonds to the cardstock like crazy. I fixed it up best I could but still some minor discoloration :/ At least this wasn't at full price.

:B Gift badge for gypsymoon, who I decided to use as a guinea pig. This idea's been scratching at me for a long time. Thoughts anyone? I'm thinking of maybe selling them sometime ($10-15 mebbe).
