Just Iori and Sakara. <3

Iori was feeling neglected, but this was all I could squeeze out. ;_;

My poses and ideas are currently suffering horribly...

Iori is mine.

I was playing with inks today and sporfled this across the paper.

There are some proportion problems in the forearms and hands, but I do like the effects I managed to mess about and create.

Possible tattoo design of Iori, quad form. I'm going to color this later. I've got a thing for glowy eyes and moonlit backgrounds now.

Iridium is my 'me' dragon, though her character isn't deep and serious like Sakara's is. If I want to draw dragons or imagine what it would be like to be one, I usually pick her. The green one I named Malachite and while mine, he's Josh(my boyfriend) affiliated.

Their scales have shimmery, iridescent highlights that sparkle as you turn the artwork to different angles. I may make this a print if people show interest, but if I do I'll get it done in town so I can add the correct iridescent accents.

I still can't decide if I hate this image or not. I think it tends to get muddy from afar, but that's probably because it's nigh impossible to have a lot of contrast when you have a blue dragon on blue/gray ocean.

This was an experiment with a new medium I have of mine. I think next time I'll be using it in moderation and it doesn't quite work like you might think. The entire thing is covered in an iridescent medium, with the colors placed transparently on top. Thankfully it seems to glitter only as the image is turned, though if one shines a light straight at it the stupid thing is nearly blinding.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get good symmetry in a piece of art? It's just...not something I do much. It was hell trying to get decent matchups in the wings and shoulder line. I gave it a good shot and called it 'done'. I don't like to fight with my art, because I feel it just wastes time.

Admins: I fixed the scanner line along the top and cleaned the right with to the best of my ability. However, that side of the art just isn't as clean as the left is due to the pencil used. I erased what I could, but doing anymore results in an undesired effect. I don't want it looking like I photoshop painted blobby white highlights on one side.

Brain spasm? That's all I can guess. Make of it what you want, I wanted to put part of a daydream on paper.

You know how thoughts are made of unspoken words and images? My brain is basically one unending animated feature. : P Still...it shows a scene I wouldn't mind playing out someday.

This didn't come out exactly like I envisioned it. I'm still trying to decide if I like it.

Someday I'll actually portray Jamal as he actually is. He's a sour apple, but moreso like the neighborhood kid who had to get tough to keep from being beaten up. He'd have a hard time hurting anyone who didn't do something to him first.

The title is quite true. But...maybe he's just having fun! Jamal got a new and official haircut.

Markers are a much greater strongpoint over colored pencils.

I promise I'm okay, it was just an abstract idea born of daydreaming. Pencil and a little patience. For the record, that's Sakara, done up in a more were-like form. The tail and back help show her more lupine features.

I don't remember what was going on in my brain...

All I know, is that Luke is still the life-weary sweetheart and Kane is a filthy bastard character I'm considering chucking off into oblivion. Luke is a golden retriever mix and Kane is a doberman(Though he's had about eight zillion forms in my head.). This is a first as this is the first completed picture including Kane I've done in...two or three years?

Both are mine. I don't like this 'un too much, but you never know who else might want to look.

This is the full triptych as seen in the previous three submissions, arranged as they now are on my boyfriend's wall.

All three of these were finished within one week. All are 19x24" bristol, with AD marker, iridescent features on the figures, and either a gold or silver stamp border and my name signed in metallic ink. These are my significant other's primary three characters.

This, someplace, is being re-inked so I can do a full set of inks and then digitally color it. Colored pencils alone are NOT my strongpoint...about all I can do is layer blacks on top of watercolors and the like. But at least it's cute. :3 Spyke belongs to himself.

Gargoyle Rave

A finished commission for Volpe-de-Fuego over on deviantart. It's her jackal-like gargoyle character Kiya dancing at a New York City rave. It was purposefully modeled after the 'Rave at the Dracana' image, since she liked it so much and my boyfriend(Who the Dracana image was made for) didn't mind at all. The image is pretty big, 19"x24".

Hexdragon

A completed commission for Ksilebo, a hexdragon of his own version but which I designed final details of.

I'm quite pleased with most of this picture, particularly the painting with color. My monitor is calibrated to be very bright as that tends to equate to what my printer prints. If it looks too dark, turn up your monitor brightness!

This is an example of a client letting me run wild. The stipulations of the commission only involved dimension(Which I admittedly broke and went bigger, but with no charge), some specifics on the character, and that it be digital. Other than that I could do what I pleased. :3 Well pleased I am!
The pose is inspired by Hindu gods, who are well known for their mantra gestures and multi-armed poses. The image is only 20% the original size I colored at.

Lacuna Apparatus

Something painted for my boyfriend for fun, then later gifted for his graduation.

It's a semi-abstract painting of Lacuna, a clockwork labyrinth that may very well be the heart of the planet it's on.

No matter what happens...there is always a way out. Another option. Something you haven't thought of or tried. Even when all you want to do is sit down in the mud and give up...there is still a way. It might be hard...the chances of making it might be slim...

But there is always a light in the dark

A play with light and shadow. Has grown older, I may try a re-make of it, because I still like it. (I think I may reserve VCL for things I finish and actually like.)

Ink is a god-like medium. Done with(surprise, surprise) Pilot Precise pens. Some photoshop tweaking to finish it, because I scanned it half-way done and couldn't find the original afterwards. o_O
