I wanted to paint a metallic hide. I had fun. <3 Now if only I can manage something other than simple color wash backdrops...

It's not much...a simpler, less detailed drawing, and the anatomy could use work, but I still like it.

I'm in a much better mood now than I have been in a long time. I spent a few hours in a local coffee shop tonight drawing this, just listening to people. It's a nice place to just sit and do whatever. This started as a Despair(The tiger side only) piccie, the book and roses just wormed their way there, since the picture looked empty. This is the happy tiger that only likes to poke her nose out now and then. :p

Locke

I realize quite a few things are off now, but Reka seemed pleased so I can't complain.

This is our(And eventually hers) black boy cat named Locke, who is named for a Final Fantasy VI character.

The background is watercolor with india ink for the figure and a little acrylic in the eyes.

Lock and Key

Anxiety art therapy.

Several stamps, metallic ink, and a disembodied marker heart.

I haven't been feeling too good emotionally...even if I'm not outright sad, my anxiety is getting the better of me. I'm walking a tightrope, and I fall either over the edge to despair or into unbound fury.

Apologies if it seems large, it was hard to resize without losing details, and I didn't want the hand and arm area to be even harder to distinguish. Micron ink on 8x11 printing paper.

I have SLAVED over this for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT.

...and I liked it. That's an ace of spades in Sakara's hand, and in the other, a glass of...whatever you'd like. For the record, those are eyeballs and dice floating in the drink.

Rave at the Dracana

The image is large, but this is so that detail can still be seen as it is a photograph of a blacklight image. This is very near true-to-life for colors and actually allows you to pick things out.

The character is Lucky, a dragon given humanoid form thanks to ending up in a world not his own. He's an escapist, spending most of his time indulging himself, whether for work or play. Lucky belongs to my boyfriend Rowan.

I like this image. Luke looks cute.

May be put up for sale sometime, I'm not sure yet.

Luke and Sakara talk about life and what sucks about it in the safety of Luke's room. It's probably the only house which isn't plagued with fighting and other problems, but that's because Luke's the only resident.

No, Luke is not a mate of any kind. He is a character I've not drawn or written of in a very long time, and I missed him. He's more the sort to protect everybody else, and turn the other cheek.

Colored the sketches of Luke. I like this color much better than his white, collie-esque pattern and color.

Luke's Contrition

This painting did not go the places I wanted it to. Luke's colors are wrong, he should have a more gold body with either same color hair or slightly lighter. I also apparently did not tape off the edges evenly.

Grrr.

The name is due to the way it came out looking. I really just wanted to draw someone/something psychotically happy and in a suit. Luke's eyecolor seems to leap from blue to green, I haven't settled on a proper color yet.

Katie is always begging me to draw her(As Luna, the kitsune), and I've always teased her every time. XP

Maladaptive Chibis - Insects and Expletives

Backstory: Whilst driving to college today, I had my window down with the heat in the floor because I like it for some odd reason. Out of nowhere, halfway to my destination, I feel a WHACK to my temple. Only to realize...there is a <i>yellow jacket</i> in the car. Ohshit. Thankfully it has been cold here and the wasp was dazed, so I managed to make it the rest of the way to school with it exploring my lap and shirt in circles. I even set the darn thing free by coaxing it onto a piece of paper and out of my car when I got there.

The other part of this is that when startled or made suddenly angry, even when minor, I tend to say things that would make a pirate blush.

PremeSyn actually is more like a mega tranquilizer for me, despite it's over the counter use as a PMS med. Rowan has been witness to my total inability to stay awake and walk in a straight line after taking the adult dose. I really am less than 100lbs, but in my defense, I'm an inch shy of five feet tall. >_>;

Maladaptive Chibis - Iori's Back Story

I once had a series of one-panel wonders and other silly doodles I used to put under the name of 'Homocidal Chibis'. Given that I'm not really full of teenage rage these days, I decided to redub them 'Maladaptive Chibis', which seems to be more true to my life.

Every time I do an art trade and ask for Iori, inevitably in the comments on the other person's half people speculate or make fun of Iori's quite ridiculous scars. So I present to you the totally non-canon but MUCH funnier reason he looks like that: TOTALLY lost a fight with lawn mower. Probably dissed it's momma.

Backstory: In trying to coax my leucistic leopard gecko out of his cage to clean it, I got bit pretty good. This particular leo has always been skittish and for very good reasons, but I still felt sadfaced for a bit. XP He was quite the angel once he realized my hand was not a Leo-Eating-Monster.

When keeping reptiles, one has to acknowledge the fact they are tame, not domesticated, and certainly don't have any comprehension of mammalian affection.
