Queen Heaven

There we go. MUCH happier now. Queen Heaven's 'Tigress', rendered in india ink and watercolor on 11x14 bristol, with a touch of metallic ink pen for jewelry and her ankh. She's a uniger.

This one's much more recent, just finished it today. It's not anger so much as it is anxiety. And in me, anxiety leads to short-temperedness, as well as generally ripping everyone's head off and being moody. I did this with pencil, some grey and brown markers, and one really shitty pink pencil. At least I can still draw snarls, right?

Rage

We got to play in pastels recently and so I decided to try them for something personal at home. This is a portrait of Rage, who is Iori's vice/inner monster as well as a stand-alone character in a world I'm in the midst of building.

He's named for his vice and part of his appearence is due to it. The flames which have burnt off his hair and blackened his skin belongs to the short temper and violent anger burning away from within. He's a tiger(Not that it's terribly apparent) with ram horns, vertebral spines, and a bladed, dragonlike tail.

It's 18x24 and the image is actually a photograph. With a shitty camera. I doctored it to get at least some true color out of it, so hopefully it doesn't look too bad. Spent about two or three evenings messing around with it.

Despair's counterpart, as the two vices can often go hand-in-hand. He's needed a refsheet as well, I should draw him more often. Rage is originally derived from Iori, if it isn't obvious. ;3

His form can be altered somewhat, but as long as he's a furless, rams-horned, burning black tiger...it's all good.

Just shit...

I was going to put words where it darkens and has more or less nothing there. But then my mind went blank. I realized there wasn't anything /to/ say. I might as well literally just be sitting alone in the rain with only a cigarette for company.

And so we're left with just me. Alone. In the rain and dark. With a cancer stick.

Two females and one male. In my mind the female raptors could pound the males into the ground at least when looking at size, since birds are that way...and well...females are the superior species in my mind. XP

A cute and pretty little albino rat. She's holding the bell from a cat's collar in her left paw. I really liked this character too, though she was just a doodle. 6x6" bristol and marker.

Title just seemed appropriate. Right now, this instant...it's hell. I can't stand it, but as long as my hand is moving across paper I'll survive...

Pen, marker, numbness, and a few cheap photoshop brushes.

Done for a friend of mine just because I wanted to.

Rayvyn...the raven. Yes, that's a ponytail. No, it isn't a gryphon.

Staedtler pens, prisma markers, two or three prisma colored pencils, and watercolors. A little white paint pen. 11 x 14" bristol paper. Four scans imperfectly spliced together in photoshop.

A razor-edged, six-eyed drake. Just doodling. Just don't pet him, even if he doesn't bite you'll prolly loose an eye.

Who said a reaper must be a man's skeleton in a musty black robe? Why not Despair, the queen of reapers? Think of what that emotion does, how it culls the heart's happiness until it becomes nothing...and the soul is set loose.

Not to mention Despair looks pretty badass with a scythe and brimstone.

Behold! An insanely vibrant, red-striped tiger! There isn't nearly enough anthro artwork of big cats where they <i>actually look like</i> big cats.

Thoughtless

You might say Rez is a thoughtless man. It could not be farther from the truth...

This is a photo of an 18x24 charcoal and charcoal pencil piece. The assignment was a full value drawing in black and white. The man pictured is the same as my 'Red Cities' image. I actually did this largely in a single evening in my boyfriend's dorm room last weekend.

The smokey skull could have been MUCH better above the jaw and eye sockets, however it was the best I could do since the page had gotten smears that no amount of kneaded eraser were going to lift. I kinda had to work with what was there.

Lastly? This picture is hand porn. It was done just so I could draw the hands in those fun positions.

Red Cities

This is a photo. I will try to replace it soon but the image is simply too large to work with a scanner.

The character pictured is Rez, the real person beneath Rage's burning flames. He's a rocker. <3 Rage can be found further back in my gallery. Rez is, in a way, Iori's human incarnation for a graphic novel I've been hammering at for a couple months.

The entire thing is ink of one color or another. It's the result of our drawing teacher telling us that we could draw whatever we wanted last class so I pulled this out. I hope I get a good grade, I'm rather pleased with the flow of color and interest. :p

Robby, everyone's favorite little anubis-wannabe, got a little bit of a makeover. I'll be sure to find something more like his character to post, I'm not sure if I want to keep his head buzzed or not.

It's meant to be dark in color, with mostly just the highlights to go by.

There are times when I am nothing but rotting from the inside out, but strangely, I feel little. I spit and laugh in your face, because I have grown numb to it all. I can smile with the nastiest, cruelest thoughts possible, because I've grown cold, numb, and dead to my sense of empathy.

It's actually when I'm really upset that I'm the most alive. Because the hurt, the loss, the emotional pain makes me remember that I'm not dead. All the same, if I'm ever to be damned for something, it's likely going to be my wrath.

This is an OLD picture, done two years agoas a Christmas present for my boyfriend. I think of Rowan as his flagship character since they both look a great deal alike and have similar mannerisms.

The image is full of symbols from me to him, now that I look at it. Rowan was pretty saintly to me after past experience, coupled with the 'guardian angel' theme and the fact he has both a heart and a key. The blank book was initially for him to write or draw in himself, but his choice to leave it blank over the years has come to have its own meaning.

The image is 11x17 bristol with marker, colored pencil, watercolor, pen, and iridescent ink. Please excuse the atrocious colors, the image is a photograph of the framed piece and so there's been quite a bit of image doctoring.
