I was having touble drawing hands so I decided just to draw udders instead. Uncle Walt would be so proud! I'm happy with how loathesome this is. :)

Image: karou.jpg   650x334 39408 bytes 2006.01.28

Quickie piece done in Illustrator for Karou on FurryMUCK because I was bored and needed something to draw. Came out pretty well, I think although it's not a character type I'd normally draw.\r\n

Image: Eixip.gif   350x278 13622 bytes 2006.01.26

Random scribble in my sketchbook that I did some quickie colour on in Illustrator. I'm not sure what she is but I think she's pretty.\r\n

Image: spacekitten.jpg   300x375 27666 bytes 2006.01.26

Weird little cat-thing I did in Illustrator in about 20 minutes. Not my greatest work but it feels kinda cool to just whip something out now and then. :)\r\n

Image: Wednesday.gif   350x332 42869 bytes 2006.01.25

Another sketch that I did some quicky flat-coloring on in Photoshop. This one is fan art of Dr. Wednesday.

Image: Shave.gif   350x397 30738 bytes 2006.01.25

Puuuuuunk!\r\n\r\nHeehee. I think I drew this because I gave my best friend Jon a mohawk that looked really cool but then that makes me the gay jaguar guy and that's weird since I'm neither. o_O Ohwell. I was experimenting with head shapes and I thought these guys looked particularly cartoony and funny. \r\n\r\nJon inked the sketch which is why it looks good and I did the sketch and some quickie coloring in photoshop. :)\r\n

Image: RavenDance.jpg   450x388 21688 bytes 2005.11.13

Done in photoshop from an inked sketch.

Image: fox-parade.jpg   500x400 50255 bytes 2005.10.28

The image says just about everything.\r\n\r\nI did this drawing like a year ago and for some reason, never uploaded it.\r\nIt's a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop.\r\n

Image: leave_the_bottle.jpg   600x434 79415 bytes 2004.08.10

"Leave the bottle." was all he said, then he sat there, still as a statue except to refill his glass and take another drink as he tried to forget.\r\n\r\nMarker and ink. Extensive use of a clear blending marker to get the worn look in the fabrics. I think I like it.\r\n

Image: katrina_firemane.jpg   350x252 35980 bytes 2004.08.03

Two wanderers, Katrina and Firemane. I don't know much about them as they were just passing through.\r\n\r\nBrush ink, marker, and colored pencil on bristol.

Image: cataur.jpg   600x441 90958 bytes 2004.07.28

A cougar taur atop a ridge. Entirely in coloured pencils.

Image: mousetrap.jpg   550x401 92554 bytes 2004.07.26

Sometimes the better mouse IS the better mousetrap. O_O\r\n\r\nThe little mouseboy is alright tho. He's @_@ not x_x! I hope he learned somethin' about chasing mouseygirls tho. \r\n\r\nBrush inked and coloured pencil on bristol.

Image: Aitnu_Sea.jpg   335x500 50552 bytes 2004.06.27

A third picture of Aitnu for Lantairvlea for the FAX2 art exchange. Inked with a dip pen to do about a million links in the rope. I like the feel this one has.

Image: Aitnu_hanger.jpg   500x563 78055 bytes 2004.06.27

Another version of Aitnu for Lantairvlea from the art exchange. I was really stuck for ideas. I think this is some of the worst photoshoppery I've done in a long time.

Image: aitnu_ball.jpg   392x500 30011 bytes 2004.06.27

Participated in the FAX2 art exchange this month and got the character Aitnu for Lantairvlea and tried out a few different ideas for the character, I think this one is my favourite.

Image: precious.jpg   412x550 58071 bytes 2004.05.04

Charcoal and chalk pastel. Just a quick rough-out for an idea I haven't decided if I want to develop yet.

Image: bunraku.gif   620x429 34064 bytes 2004.03.29

Okay, I know there's no furriness in this picture but I think that's allowed now and then. This is a scene of a japanese bunraku puppet play. Done entirely in Illustrator this is my first attempt at trying to do artwork that doesn't have hard outlines on everything and it really felt like a lot of work. I still used more line than I'd really like to have but I couldn't quite break the habit and get the picture to read the way I wanted.\r\n\r\nAll in all I think I'm reasonably happy with this piece. Lotsa things I could do to make it better but that's what learning is all about, no?\r\n

Image: mars.jpg   620x777 176624 bytes 2004.03.27

Yes, I know Rendezvous is mispelled. I'm gonna claim it's deliberate for trademarking purposes though. (Mostly because I'm lazy. It's easy to change in Illustrator)\r\n\r\nAnyhow, simple Illustratory thing. An add in an add and 3-breasted martians woo! :) I think I've been drinking too much of that martian brandy or something. :)\r\n

Image: seabird.gif   300x300 16647 bytes 2004.03.08

Calm, simple stylized design I did in Illustrator. It wasn't a lot of work but I think it's one of my favourite Illustrator drawings to date.\r\n

Image: wtf.gif   347x394 17433 bytes 2004.03.07

... What do you get when you cross the Hamburgalar, a Tellitubby, a rabbit, and gollum...\r\n\r\nya... um... I dunno either, nor do I know what possessed me to draw/ink this thing but... hmmm. \r\n\r\nya... I'm gonna go now...\r\n

Image: dark5.jpg   450x399 25165 bytes 2004.03.05

The last goth-wolf (unless I get another one in the next exchange) This one is the simplest of the lot and I finally burned out the goth-wolf ranting (for now) I like the stylization of the hands but most of the rest is pretty meh.\r\n

Image: dark4.jpg   450x492 40760 bytes 2004.03.05

Gothy Coffee! My personal favourite. Another different style experiment in Illustrator with the same goth wolf.

Image: dark3.jpg   500x537 105446 bytes 2004.03.05

Angsty Poetry of the Goth Wolf.\r\n\r\nContinued exploration of angsty goth wolves in Illustrator.

Image: dark2.jpg   450x487 39059 bytes 2004.03.05

Angsty goth mood-swings at sunset. Still trying to burn off this gothwolf karma.

Image: dark1.jpg   400x389 25887 bytes 2004.03.05

Series of angsty goth wolves. Why? Because I keep getting freakin' angsty goth wolves as my character to draw in every stupid art exchange I participate in. AUGH!!!! \r\n\r\nDone in Illustrator, just monkeying around with style.

Image: tang_card.gif   864x648 108831 bytes 2004.03.05

For some friends of mine that really like Holly and the Joker. I don't usually do the Warner style so it was kinda fun and I thought it was worth uploading. More illustrator work. Some new approaches to doing things. Learning, slowly.

Image: tali.jpg   612x792 61057 bytes 2004.02.17

A slightly chunky skunky. Did this picture for a friend in exchange for their bringing me an animation stand that I bought off e-bay! Yay! Animation tools!\r\n\r\nThe image itself is very illustratory. I think I'm finally getting a handle on Illustrator basics.\r\n

Image: basengii.gif   291x338 21357 bytes 2004.01.31

A random doodle in my sketchbook that I decided to ink in Illustrator. It doesn't feel done but I don't know what to do with it. Point of fact I don't even know exactly what it is. It told me its name was 'Basengii' which seems like a misspelling of 'Basenji' (the oldest domesticated breed of dogs, google tells me) but... He looks only passingly like a Basenji and he has hooves rather than paws. So. Not sure what he is or what to do with him. Odd drawing for me.\r\n

Image: kitten.gif   672x358 33558 bytes 2003.12.29

My partner's mother decided to let her little sister pick out a kitten from the SPCA as a christmas present so I offered to make a card for her. Freehanded this real quick in Illustrator in just a couple hours. Sorta happy about that. This time last year I don't think I could have drawn a straight line in Illustrator in as little time as it took me to do this. :)

Image: sparkle_suicide.jpg   665x900 106508 bytes 2003.12.29

I did this drawing as part of the furry art exchange. I got stuck with sorta the ultimate cliche' character. Angsty self-mutiliating droopy-eared canid of unusual color but ohwell. I tried to be sorta respectful and do a drawing that they'd like and wouldn't drive me totally insane instead of mocking them mercilessly. All in all, aside from the atrocious fur color I really sorta like it. I did it entirely in Illustrator using layers of simple gradients and rotate/copy for the snowflakes.
