A sketch I decided to finish out because I was rather pleased with it. Done completely in computer from sketch to final, with openCanvas and Photoshop. Mm, I don't think this demon lives in the desert, because he feels so nice and moist to me. Perhaps an oasis?

Best Buds

Here's a birthday image (from 2006) for my dear friend, Hazard Barzard, of his characters Hazard and Panja in their "modern day" incarnations. I was also trying some different things with lines, I like how it turned out. The background is a photo I found of somewhere in Haz's hometown.

cloudhands.jpg
Image: cloudhands.jpg   361x772 76313 bytes 2002.10.03

Mm, just a red panda guy doing his Tai Chi. Watercolor, pens, and just a hint of prismacolor pencils here and there for spice. I miss Tai Chi; I want to start taking classes again very muchly.

(Here's hoping I did the levels correctly!)

dandelions.jpg
Image: dandelions.jpg   576x814 95380 bytes 2003.04.21

My Sasuga, just looking cute. Made this for a friend who wanted to see her in clothing. ^_~ Photoshop 7, Opencanvas 2 for the background.

delayed.jpg
Image: delayed.jpg   591x649 149220 bytes 2001.12.23

My entry for the 2001 December VCL Art Competition. Just a handsome liger and a pretty mare getting a rare bit of luck. Don't they look happy to see each other? They may have to spend the night at the airport, but, at least they're together. Yeah, I went for the schmoopy on this one. ^_^ I've already ruined the touching sentimentality of this piece by drawing these two having the sexy sex (in fact, I drew that long before I came up with this picture, I just finished this one first).

demon.jpg
Image: demon.jpg   578x762 92625 bytes 2002.03.29

This is fanart I did of a character from Gilda Laura Rimessi's wonderful comic, The Sinner Dragon (check it out at http://sinnerdragon.keenspace.com, and take a look at her VCL archive too; she's so amazing!). The demon is only a minor character, and doesn't even have a name, but isn't he gorgeous? I wouldn't mind wearing that collar . . .

This is my second computer-inked drawing; I think I'm getting a better hang of it. Now that I'm liking the medium more, I need to work on my technique. ^_^;

Character © Gilda Laura Rimessi, used with permission.

After a discussion with a friend about how little we see good kisses between anthros and humans, I was inspired to do this pic of Sasuga (in human form) and Augroth. Augroth came right out of my pencil, but Sasuga was an age of drawing and redrawing; human faces are so hard to angle under a kiss!

I'm counting Augroth as the "on-topic" part of this image, and if he's not, I guess this will be one of my 5% of off-topic material. ^_~

docbull.jpg
Image: docbull.jpg   531x501 85151 bytes 2003.12.06

Here's a picture I did of my friend Doc, who's normally a dragon, but when someone crosses him, this image comes to my mind. Used with Permission.

dredd.jpg
Image: dredd.jpg   675x600 98528 bytes 2003.12.06

A pic I did in OpenCanvas for my friend Doc, of his character Dredd, a hunky, older dragster who's quite ummy. I tried to approximate Doc's style of drawing very massive types, and I think I did OK. (his website will be hosted here, eventually: http://download.lavadomefive.com/members/dragstar1/ ) Used with permission.

G'morning, Handsome

Here's good ol' Augroth and humanSas again. The background is kind of a fart, but hey, it's just for fun.

kirsi.jpg
Image: kirsi.jpg   251x282 19647 bytes 2003.02.01

Just a little picture of my ringtail Kirsi, from an old sketch I wanted to finish.

latexblew.jpg
Image: latexblew.jpg   632x813 127235 bytes 2002.05.11

Yay! My first (completed) yaoi! This is fanart I did for my friend Dragonfly of his whimsically-pervy comic, Latex Blue ( http://irresponsiblecybernetics.com/latexblue/ I love the comic because there's lots of domination and erotic torture, but the characters are so happy about it, and no one ever seems to get hurt).

The plush bunny is Alex, a master who is captured by the Ruler (the rubber doggy in the background). She has been having her two-headed dragon servant Torgaire punish Alex for her pleasure, so I thought I'd draw the 'punishment' I'd like to see. ^_^ All characters © Dragonfly, used with permission.

lbcomic1.jpg
Image: lbcomic1.jpg   1129x400 183488 bytes 2002.11.20

Here are three guest comics I did for my good friend Dragonfly's whimsical, pervey comic Latex Blue (http://www.irresponsiblecybernetics.com/latexblue). I actually did these over three months ago, but I was saving them until their actual run. I'm showing them here (with DF's permission), because I drew them a little large, and they had to be shrunk for display on the comic's site. He chose these three for me to do because he knows I'm in love with the stallion there. ^_^ All characters ©Dragonfly, used with permission.

leohearthearts.jpg
Image: leohearthearts.jpg   695x630 93296 bytes 2003.12.06

A picture I did for my good friend Remmy's birthday, of a character he and I made. This is LeoHeart Lion, sort of a cross between a certain Digimon and a certain CareBear cousin, but he's a character all his own, who lives to bring joy to lonely women. ^_~

mehndisphynx.jpg
Image: mehndisphynx.jpg   524x725 108506 bytes 2002.05.08

Whew. This is the monkey that's been on my back for weeks now. He's a cute Sphynx cat, a breed I've always loved (both the look, and because of allergies), though I know they're off-putting to many people. This sexy guy was inspired by a photo of a particularly handsome sphynx, that wasn't very wrinkly at all, and I've always thought they'd be amazing for using mehndi (henna skin dye paste, dark green goo that leaves orange/brown tints), if you could get the cat to stand still for three or more hours while the dye dries.

Most of them are inspired by some books of asian designs I was looking through, and they took so long I was amazed that I didn't get terribly frustrated with the drawing. And I'll definately be drawing more of him, no matter how complicated he is. ^_^

min.jpg
Image: min.jpg   500x746 156024 bytes 2001.11.10

Yeah, I know, I go from being too timid to draw full frontal to suddenly drawing a guy American Pieing a head of lettuce. Trust me, there was a progression there somewhere. I was reading this interesting article about Min, an Egyptian fertility god whose symbols include a white bull, the moon, and cos lettuce, which was considered a phallic symbol because of its tall, vaguely cylindrical shape, and thick veins that secrete a milky white liquid when squeezed. So, this image came to mind pretty easily. Mm, I like hunky bull-men.

I am never going to draw another head of lettuce again.

muda.jpg
Image: muda.jpg   676x672 116829 bytes 2001.10.22

This is just a little art therapy I needed to do. Fans of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or Ranma 1/2 will recognize Sasuga's fighting style. Kirin are said to be possessed of great speed, so it makes sense to me. The kanji in the background and the word balloon mean "pointless" or "futile".

Crud, I just realized I forgot to put her shoulder ruffs in the upper picture. Well, all of you out there can help me using the power of imagination! ^_^

neferrem.jpg
Image: neferrem.jpg   604x853 126372 bytes 2007.11.06

Neferrem

So this is Neferrem, a lion who is soft-spoken, intellectual, and he's from a multi-species race of big guys who can enter people's dreams (his race being the creation of my friend Deltavious, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/daddy-o ). He's big on the comfort factor, and uses his powers to give pleasant dreams to nightmare-sufferers. He'll curl up behind you (guys too, he's bicurious) and spoon you while you sleep and you'll wake up feeling great! :D His name is from Nefertem, the Egyptian lion god of healing and fragrance.

Here's a gift picture I did for my friend Nipper, of him bound to my Kirsi, as a birthday gift. Geez, doesn't he look hotter than hot? This is my first picture done with Adobe Photoshop 7, which is still taking some getting used to, but I like how this came out.

rj.jpg
Image: rj.jpg   595x530 81942 bytes 2001.10.18

I'm such a wussy when it comes to erotica. I've always enjoyed it, but it took me forever to work up the nerve to actually write or draw anything sexual. I'm still trying to get myself to draw the bits and pieces. Anyway, so the tiger man's name is Rougoran, and the glowing human woman is Jacinda, and they're characters from a story I'm trying to write.

sasuga.jpg
Image: sasuga.jpg   434x506 42425 bytes 2001.10.18

Here's a little picture of my furry character, Sasuga, a kirin. This image was the first time I ever played around with screentones. It was a lot of fun, but since tones are expensive I probably won't be doing too many of these in the future (although I do use scanned screentones for my digital art from time to time).

stormcircle.jpg
Image: stormcircle.jpg   729x729 165857 bytes 2004.08.09

A birthday gift I did for my dear friend Stormcatcher. This one was a combination of watercolor pencils, prismacolor and tria markers, and prismacolor pencils.

thetower.jpg
Image: thetower.jpg   653x830 85589 bytes 2002.03.16

Whew, it's been a while. This took at least a week longer than I anticipated, probably because I made the mistake of mentioning to someone else that I planned on finishing it a week ago. Heh. So, here's my kirin, Sasuga, au naturel. The funny thing about these ones that are named after tarot cards is that I never intend them to be. I get the image first, then notice the tarot resemblance once I'm done. As such, they don't often have much to do with the actual cards, although, The Tower's meanings of 'overthrow of existing regimes' and 'enlightenment through disruption' do have a lot to do with the inspiration for this image, so I guess it's all good. Coming out of a bad place, we are now more free, and a little wiser.

Colored in Photoshop as usual, but the stormclouds and landscape are my first attempts at using openCanvas. Eh, well, I think it turned out OK. Well, other than the lighting errors that caused me to have to re-upload this, but that's what I get for working on it at three in the morning. ^_^

vespertine.jpg
Image: vespertine.jpg   586x600 98705 bytes 2002.01.17

I tried to do this one all in oranges from the same sliver of the palette, but I think the layer fiddling I did may have knocked some of them off by a bit. Oh well. It's another with the as-yet-unnamed liger man and horse woman from "delayed.jpg". I was asked if this is what happens when they get home from the airport, but I'm not sure. I think it's an unrelated incident. I get the feeling she's had a bad day, and he's trying to cheer her up, and succeeding. I think he probably cooked her a really nice dinner before this. ^_^ That's what does it for me, at least.

wenxiong.jpg
Image: wenxiong.jpg   672x620 156706 bytes 2004.05.19

Wenxiong, an anthro Chinese lion-dog (like the kind you see outside of temples and stuff). I know his colors are similar to Augroth's, but I think they have distinct enough personalities. ^_~ Done in Photoshop.
