Blame poor knowledge of cetacean anatomy... Warning: nude young humans ahead. I hope there are no issues with them as they're not doing anything really sexual; it was just needed by the scene.

Concept developed with leonardo. - Only the leader can mount the females in oestrus and reproduce (females far from heat can choose to make love with others of the team), so the leader have to allow the other males to mount him to help them relive their sexual tension and needs when the females are in heat - The election mounting is for remembering that the team is just one thing, they are "joined", a team is like a pack: they have to be close to each other and help each other in difficult situations - The leader has to decide things for everybody, so he must know everything and he must have experinenced everything. He has to know what it means to be mounted, and not just what it means/feel to mount females

(There are several concept errors here, actually, for the cubs are too grown up and it isn't actually so normal, however I wished to show something very specific of them without slipping in human-based considerations.)

I wouldn't swear by the buck's antlers (which by the way are out of season, it's supposed to be spring and he should've shedded already o.-) but I like how it turned out.

The cub needed a bit of reanimation, but at last, hi breathes... and looks around. Pencils over Pantone (and larger than usual sheet). The fur still looks odd and a bit unnatural, but it's the first time I'm actually satisfied with it. :-) (The Chakasa are a species derived from Bernard Doove's Chakats, (C) Leonardo Maffi and Alessio Scalerandi.)

Doh. Well, but, the idea was too cute, so I'll pretend is some very very tender wood. :-) Apprentice thinking can be a bit misleading... Pencil over Pantone over rough colored paper.

There'd be many things to fix in the cougar but overall I like a lot how it turned out. Again pencil over Pantone.

The background is a bit messy, it's supposed to be a valley filled with clouds though. o.- It's done in pencils over Pantone with a bit of guache retouch on the snow.

The tiger on the right is supposed to be non-anthro but it doesn't show much! Also the color is a bit different than it was on paper (overall much brighter) due to my scanner doing silly things with colors. But overall I like the result.
