Lion for Leadership

Cliche, but it fits XD
A lion as king, dressed in purple robes, the color of royalty. The robe/cape is meant to be stylized to create movement and echo the spirtal-esque background.

Gift for Frank Mulvey, my drawing teacher whom I want to thank for everything he taught me. He`s an excellent teacher, and a great person. Teachers rarely get a thanks from their students. My friends and I got together and made a little card series similar to this with words that describe him. Were not getting him for drawing class anymore, so we did this for him.
The frame has its imperfections, it was made by hand. I`ll get better at it though.
If anyone wants to afford a color commission by me, a bust piece such as this is an option as it would be cheaper. Of course you don`t need to include a frame.

Finished Commission for the sexy awesomeness that is Karzrave.
She commissioned me awhile back to help me pay for school transportation. She even had people commission HER so she could pay ME in USD.

I really wanted to capture her character correctly. I even went through real life pictures of her(which is what her hair color here is based off of). Finally got something down that I'm happy with.

Once again I give you my version of the manticore. A bit of an updated version.

I tried one with white eyes this time.

The large,more human like front paws ARE intentional, so shush.
I fixed up the tail for the flexibility I wanted.
Why is their no corpse? 1. Manticores eat EVERYTHING. Bones, clothes(if its a human) and all. AND 2. I'm too lazy to anyways.So good riddance and shit.

Yum. Blood.

Moonlit Vengence

This was done back in june, as another watercolor experiement. A gift for wolfenashes. I took a stab at perspective, no references. XD She`s supposed to be leaping over a log for the kill. I`m not fond of the weird textures that this gave off, but it doesn`t matter, I`ll do better next time.

I envisioned this with a myth behind it. The moon goddess watches over the world at night, looking for wrong dooers. The killers, theifs, rapists and the like would be punished by her moon beasts whom were previously victims of these offenses. She`d grant the crime victims the ability to morph into terrible beasts to get their vengence.

Internal Conflict

This was a quick little drawing for my Arthurian Litterature class from like nearly 2 months ago. I was in my watercolor practice stage still here.

I Illustrated a scene where arthur has a dream about a bear battling a dragon. Its interpreted in many ways, however most depictions conclude that these beasts both symbolize certain aspects of the King.

Go easy on me, I haven`t drawn any bears or many dragons before =P
The bear is wearing a torc to symbolize his high status. He`s conjuring some sort of spell on the dragon, just to make him look like a match cause obviously the dragon wins against the bear in the end.

LEGEND's Lord of Darkness

I now forever hate dots.
This is The Lord of Darkness played by Tim Curry from the 80's fantasy movie "Legend".I felt he'd make a great pointilism subject, lots of dark and light. Besides, he is badassery in the flesh.

Done in a Steadtler ink pen in 0.05 size, with a series of tiny dots and lines(yeah I cheated alittle bit =P). On a 4x6 cue card for my sanity's sake.
I've never've done an entire image in pointilism before 9.9 , I now know why. Time consuming.

A merlion/sealion practice to get a feel for the animal and to begin a design for it. This is..very simplified. I wanna add a few more things, but they'll be in my next version :3

I've been workin on this little guy for over a week ;__;

-His webed paws don't really show =/ I'll try to adjust the paws in my next merlion in such a way that it'll show.
-I chose such a bright color for the tail because I wasn't comfterble with shading in dark colors on a fishie tail..cause theirs a whole lotta light relfection and its very prominent a thing with dark colors.

NonMorphic Sekhmet Portrait

I colored a doodle inside my sketchbook of a nonmorphic Sekhmet. Mmm, american lions <3. Practice with colored pencil. More form is defined with the fur. I forgot her ear piercings. The spiked collar is still in her original design, I just didn`t want to bust my ass off with it. Ish a purdy kitteh.

I`ll most likely make an icon of this. Until I get a nicer anthro pic of sekhmet up.

THE DOMINANT FEMALE

*Sigh*. I promised Id finish this , didn`t I? I don`t like it anymore. This was done about a month before I started school. It was half colored and then abandonned.

Their are some things I dislike about it, but I`ll spare you the ramble.

This piece is symbolic to the strength of women. The divine feminine and such. Their are symbols that emphasize this throughout.

Gel pen(on the goddess symbol orbs floating above the roses. Ahh. Its pretty and sparkly n shite), colored pencil and marker on cardstock.

Sekhmet Pyralis Atrox

LAST DRAWING OF 2007!!!

Playing around a bit with Sekhmet`s costume design. I will add more detail, armor and motifs as my story developps and is more clear. For now, I`m keeping it simple. I added silver to the armor instead of that dreaded black. Her last design was too "Heavy Metal".

I need to learn more about lighting. The scanner totally murdered the detail I did on the fur and silver shading on the costume and sword. The foot on the left is wonky, I messed up the perspective of the boot coming at us. Nyeh.

Ok, this thing drove me nuts anatomy-wise =D
Its sevastra's hooved canine char. At first I attempted sticking the hoof at the end of a canine's leg like she does buut..that didn't work out. Infact it looked weird when I tried it. So then I tried making more equine/cervidae like legs, and that worked better for me, so I hope you don't mind. It really wasn't easy to make the anatomy look beleivable. Infact I had to transfer it onto a new peice of paper because the origional was all..messed up cause I erased a lot.

It looks granier from my other art because I didn't have any brown markers to provide a good base on the bristol.

1 more trade to get done. Woo.

Hmm..I'm afraid this scanned shittily. I can't see what it actually looks like(because of my broken screen), but either way, I doubt you guys can see the tiny fur detail I did in icy blue all over the body where the "white" is.
I practiced my marker backrounds. Decided to make it in warm colors to make the blues in her fur stick out.
I'm too lazy to scan all the art I've produced recently. But I couldn't keep the poor girl waiting so I decided to upload my overdue half of the trade.

It was fun to draw a cute little cubling instead of a vicious carnivore with horns and saberteeth for a change.

The Merging of Spirit & Matter

Another half of my sculpture project. I have to figure out how to merge the lioness to my portrait in clay. So we had to do this sketch. So I created a native american inspired head dress, only warped it and added sun symbols and jewelry.

Done in warm gray, cool gray markers, 1 gray faber castell and 1 derwent watercolor pencil. All scribbly and shite.

I hope my teacher will like it, he didnt seem to like my lioness tonal drawing portrait that took me like 15 fucking hours.

My storyboard project for my fabrications and materials 2 class. Here are pannels 1&2. Yes I used myself as a reference XD
I hate my scanner. It doesn`t do justice to the cool gray 1 rendering I did but whatever.

We were given roughs of a horror movie scene to redraw and render in markers. Basicly the director for movies or commercials, etc, have artists depict where the camera will shoot to save time and so on. Its a job that pays very well.

Most pro`s do these in under 20 minutes(im a noob so it took longer XD). So keep in mind they are NOT supposed to be beautiful marker renderings! Theyre supposed to be very loose and sketchy.

I had a lot of fun with this project. I hope you like, even if its not furry. =)

Ive been itching to draw a vixen for awhile.
This is a symbolic piece. The vixen declares her sexual maturity, and readiness to mate. The white lilies symbolize purity(often present in christian artwork throughout history, associated with the virgin and easter). As you can see, she plucked the lilies, stating a loss of innocence.

This was also experimental: no inked lines, an elaborate background, and slowly dabbling in some lighting.

Reference(loosely) used for the lilies.

She`s also for sale, along with some more cheap art I found. Added a werewolf for cheap in there. All money goes to helping me through college.

The Fire Warrioress

A little something for myself. A remake of a 2007 drawing..similar pose. Wanted to try it again. You can use this as my temporary costume ref. I figured Sekhmet wouldnt NEED tons of armor because of her flame power.

Sekhmet, my fursona, looking rather irritated. She`s in mid super-nova; hence her hair and tail having ignited.

I settled on something I like for her costume. Added a corset-armor top with silver and gold. Atorc(celtic symbol of High Status) instead of the spike collar. Her jewellery reflects her connection to the sky (sun and moon symbols), since she generates her flame powers from the cosmos. yes.

I might change her bottom and boots in the future. I think thigh highs are hot though, I might make them laced up like her corset eventually.

This started off as a much needed anthro ref for my character. It turned into perspective practice. Their was more of a body to this, but I'm slacking off on my "things to do list" and this isn't on it. So in guilt, I only did her upper body.

This sketch was done after getting off the phone with her a LONG time ago, this was meant to be a FULL peice and finished for her birthday. But you know, I suck at getting shit done on time for peoples birthdays. I also suck at weres. I didn't like the sketch anymore, too many anatomy faults, and I just got frustrated.
Ash is a wonderful person and I love her.
She's really sweet and funneh. She's always there for her friends.Whoever thinks otherwise of her seriously doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about.
I didn't want to let the sketch go to waste(even if I didn't like it so much, I DID put a lot of time in it when I drew it) so I just made her a little bookmark for now,I wanna make her a better peice in the future.
