Greetings from Skillyam, the dead monkey.

A quick sketch that turned out far better than I thought it would. Drawing lots of naked people is definitely helping me improve my anatomy much faster than I thought it would. A few months ago I would never have been able to sketch this out in less than five minutes, and have it actually look right. Hooray for art college.

This pic was fun. It was when I first fell in love with the smudge tool in Photoshop. Soooft.

This pic marks the end of an almost month long drawing slump. Longer than that if you count that I only did one other thing in the last two months. Different things have been interfering lately, and I had to sit down and make myself draw something, but I'm glad I finally did. I'm starting to wonder though, 'cause I don't know what the heck kinda animal Sky is. And look, non-lazy braids this time!

This was my first picture of Sky, which I dont really like the style of too much anymore, but I guess it could pass for her at a younger age. I don't really understand why it takes so long for pictures to "show up" here, but I'm getting used to it. Just wish I could have been sure I was doing it properly at the beginning, and not have uploaded everything with blank descriptions.

Drawn completely with my tablet, on my shiny new computer. One of my new live journal icons (well, the icon itself is smaller and a bit more cropped), the only one that was furry. Haven't been doing a lot of furry art lately....

I lost my ferret, Zoey, on thursday last week. She was almost six, which I suppose is a pretty good age to live 'til, for a ferret, but... *sigh*... This is an old pic from sometime last year, drawn from a photo, but I felt I had to post something. Goodbye, my friend.

I've been wanting to mess around with a picture without lines for awhile now, but just never got around to it until now.

It was my Dad's birthday yesterday, this is the card I gave him, but I erased the Happy Birthday part for this upload. Am I a loving daughter, or just too cheap to buy a card? You decide.

All these characters with an "ss" in the filename are from the same series of characters I used to draw. They're real old school. ^_^ Ace was the leader of a flight/bomb squad, and a real bitch. Flying squirrels probably dont really have "wings" too much like that, but I think that qualifies as "artistic liberties".

This has gotta be one of my oldest characters. She dates back to about grade 3 when she was just a regular mouse with a headband and bazooka. And a really long tail...
I drew this last year when I got back into drawing furry, and I gave a bunch of my old characters makeovers.

She has big ears.

Messing around with the uniforms was fun. Trying to make them all match, but be unique at the same time. These characters, me and my friends used to play as for games way back in elementary school. Those were the days, eh? This leopard gecko used to "belong to" my friend who had long red hair, though not so scruffy.

Lily is Laura's sister, and they were with my two friends who are cousins in mind. At one time I had intended to fully color all of these "triangle" pictures, but I realized I would never have the time or the patience to finish them all, so I just did them this way, which I think looks kind of neat, and didn't take nearly as long. The smiley earrings scanned very badly on this pic though.

I have a lot of these old characters that I never revamped. Some of them weren't that interesting, but others, like Teresa, are just fun to draw. Pretty colors.

A stealthy, albeit rather late birthday pic for Viva. Don't worry, I gave it to her a lot closer to her birthday (which was in September, I believe, I was only a few days late) than I'm uploading it. :p

My part of an art exchange with Ronaldo, this is his character Tina. She has a pretty poofy tail. :) I drew this a few months ago, but didn't think about uploading it until now.

My entry for the Yerf Forum's Trading Post last week, this is Nevar Raven's character Tragos. Drawing other peoples' characters is so fun. :)

My tribal ferrets. At the time I made them I thought the idea was quite amusing. I'd like to make them into a comic someday, I think. From left to right, they are Zoey, Poto, Cid, Rubix, and Tessa.

A pencil crayon drawing. Actually, this was made for the second time I tried to get into Yerf, because they told me they didn't like computer colored...I probably never got in that time either, but my email account got hacked so I'll never know for sure. :P Oh well, I dont care anymore. It was supposed to be one in a series of characters named after colors, but I never got around to doing any of the other ones yet.

My first foray into this new style. I just sat down, started drawing, and when I stopped to look at it again, this is what was there. Kinda like a direct download from the muse, I guess. Fun stuff. I've had a lot of people interpret this pic differently.

When this was finished, it looked like it still needed something, so I got my friend to write a poem for it. The character is "me", Shade, but the poem is her interpretation of the pic, she wrote it after I drew it. I've got other pictures that have been made for poems and had poems made for them, its fun having a poetic friend and being able to inspire eachother.
