One of my sketches I fell in love with a bit, more preparation for a certain portfolio piece I'll be doing in the next few months. No references or anything used, so he's not perfect, just cool lookin'. Plus I got sloppy with the scales near the end, and just decided to end it where it was rather than mess with it and screw it up.

I've been thinking heavily about a certain portfolio piece I have to do, and mapping it out in my head. While I was practicing some background stuffs (bamboo and water, lighting and the like) these four little fish swam out of my paintbrushes! I liked them best of all on my scrap of bristol, so I scanned them and saved them forever in the digital world. Not the best, but somewhat charming little gouache fish.

Earlier this week I had an extremely disturbing and traumatizing dream, the kind that sticks with you for a while. I felt really aweful for the entire day, and all I wanted to do was hold my rabbit boy tight until he says "when". I won't go into details, but it prompted this very messy sketch I did while waiting for my bus to come. I hate dreams like that. Now... away from my rabbit all of you! *snarl*

He described the bottom one to me, but only gave the top one's function and general build (made it from scratch then). I recently found an old sketchbook half filled with drawings of myself and my neglectful dishonest ex boyfriend. I decided that it was time to reopen this sketchbook for the new era with my (relatively new) boyfriend and I. I didn't want to get rid of the old drawings because some of them are pretty good, so this one serves as a block from all those. I've had to be very careful not to break an artistic promise I made to my ex (though I've wanted to many times), and I don't think this is breaking it at all. So no worries, as an honorable and happy new era is ushered in!

I was drawing something, anything with a butt, and this came out of this. The actual drawing is about an inch tall, and I like it quite a bit for how fast it was. I've never seen a rat with a nicer ass. She seems rather pissed that you're gawking, but say's she doesn't care... *shrug* Or something like that.

I was taking little sketch requests, and a rabbit friend of mine asked that I draw this. He said I got his idea right on the button, but I think given more time for a complete piece this could really rock. I like it nontheless, I don't draw many rabbits. This one seems quite sagely.

A little character concept I doodled up after encountering a lovely male green praying mantis. They've been scarce this year around my house, so I was extremely captivated. Michael's upper limbs are backwards, but I swear I can explain it! See, he was born smaller than the other males, and with the strange limb-swapped deformity. He's incredibly smart and good with machines, but he is shunned by every other mantis, including females. It's just as well, since he doesn't get eaten by any potential mates, he can concentrate on making massivley awesome machines of every sort. My brain bug everyone, Michael. *bows*

This was done while in California, sitting around in my brother's apartment. I wanted to mess around with my never-before-used brush pen, and out this came! Originally beginning as a wing, my brother's girlfriend (Melina) pointed out it looked something like a foot. We had just come back from the Monteray aquarium, and I noticed a hidden cuttle fish in there! I really like it, despite it being totally mindless pen-pushing. <3
