She paints her body in blood and calls upon the fire of the land for the purpose of a deep meditation that will send her into adulthood. took me long enough to do this, the sketch was a pain to clean up. Another un-inked drawing, colored with painstaking care. It's funny how your style and methods will change when faced with art block. I was inspired at first by a program on the discovery channel about Komodo dragons. The blood tattoos are inspired by Hiroaki Samura's Blade of the Immortal ( the book called on Silent Wings II ). copyright to shadowolf

This took me for freaking ever because I'm not used to coloring such dark things. I used entirely black and the gradients of French grey on this. Yes, she does have four fingers and not five. I always have such a hard time with white fur, since during the level adjustment I loose all the shading and definition. 	Image: dragon_hybrid.jpg 508x907 60374 bytes 2003.06.22 reuploaded again because of tinted background. so hard to tell with these LCD screens. character from a dream I had, where he was my bounty hunting partner and I had wings. He's a dragon/human hybrid, but can change into this form from a human one when strength and speed and some nifty dragon tricks are needed. being wingless and tail-less do not get in the way of his old-world dragon personality. His scales and skin were much darker though, and more detailed with scales. He also wore black pants, combat-style boots, and a black trenchcoat torn at the places where his spikes protruded. his left arm and fist look a little wonky to me, maybe too short of a fore-arm and too big of a hand. Other than that, he's intended to be proportioned this way. copyright to shadowolf

This was what my character looked like, basically. I remember getting stabbed by another player who didn't mean to, and got all sad about it. He smeared the markings around my eyes, like it was some wierd silver paint. It didn't look like this, but how the hell am I suppoesed to draw smeared paint-like silver markings?!? mmmm... sword.. me copyright to me

I like the blood between his claws, as if he just spread them apart so it's sticking and forming those strings between. With a made up butterfly thing I call a bloodfly perched on his claw, he looks much less crazy and more snooty here. damn coloring.. eats my colored pencils right up. It's about time I had a bat of some sort in my gallery. I love bats, especially the giant flying foxes, the fruit bats with 3 foot wing spans. That what she is (she? he?), a flying fox. She's perfect for lot's of unique markings, like red fur tattoos and whatnot, but I decided that her retractable metal claws and blazing red eyes was all the individuality she needed. She is an assasin, ripping through her enemies at top speeds in the air with her blade claws. She has no belly button! belly button-less bat is copyright to shadowolf
