For an AU fanfiction, I suppose. What would happen if such-and-such never occured? Answer: Not a happy ending. Heh. I never have happy endings. That'd be too rewarding to the reader. Emily is © Shannon Fowler

I figured out what's been into my birdfeeder. I don't think I'll interfere. Could possibly sell this one, if anyone would want it. I mean. It is a demon squirrel. Artwork © Shannon Fowler

... On average, I have to redraw male characters about 1,000,000 more times than females. ARG.\r\n\r\nAnyway, another one over and done with. I tried to make it more interesting than a guy just standing there but... I dunno ._.\r\n\r\nDontae belongs to Da Roz\r\nArt belongs to me.

I do one of these every two years. This kept me occupied while I waited for a reply on a sketch I sent to my commissioner. Emily's changed. \r\n\r\nShe isn't followed by a swarm of lens flares anymore. It's strange how I have more or less the same outfit/configuration, and yet the beginning and end (for now) are so different. \r\n\r\nOne day I'm going to figure out what that background is. It's starting to solidify o.o Emily is © me

I'm beginning to not believe this 'plug and play' ploy. Two hours later, having finally gotten Photoshop and my scanner on speaking terms once more, I suddenly realized I still don't know how to ink. Oh well.\r\n\r\nMy part of an lj based art trade. Drawing class totally has me into inking and organic shapes right now. So have some trees. Calista is © Michelle Latta

Gnarr. Another one that I've owed for a long time. The semester is finally over, and my internet connection is officially 'shakey', so what else should I do but start catching up on my commissioned stuff. This took me all day to do. Not because it was tricky, so much as I'm very easily distracted 9.9 For a trade I ran, once... Outcast/Hagusa © Eric

I must have redrawn this thing at least 16 times (and after that it was so sad I stopped counting). Still not happy, but at this point I suppose Ravette just wants her damned drawing. I realized later that I should have had her profile infront of me as I drew... so now Rave can show it to people as a ref image and tell them exactly what Emily did wrong 9.9\r\n\r\nAnyway, for the DUXMonthly trade that I ran once...\r\n\r\nThis taught me a lot about character rotations. Namely, this is not one. ;) Leila Mardrake is © Ravette

Lately... I've been feeling like my art is a little formulaic. So after erasing and redrawing about 15 times today, I did an image search for 'Katana fight'. I'm not sure the ref I used had anything to do with real katana fights, as the two japanese men appeared to be using loaves of bread while wearing hoodies... or something similar.... really it looks to me a little like he's doing a ho-down. But eh, I like it, a nice change of pace. AND I've owed this to his owner for a long, long time. \r\n\r\nFatal is © Carol Ann

I lost the original PSD file AND drawing for http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/10732331/\r\n\r\nSo this is a redo. I'm happy that I did it over again, I'm liking this much better, but at the same time very angry, because my hand is in agony. Generic Foxx is © me

Requested by http://katsu.deviantart.com as a birthday gift for a friend. Anya was my *hero* when I first found Yerf years ago.. how could I say no? Rushed a bit to get it to her as soon as possible. Whee spots. But I do miss her pink hair. \r\n\r\nGinger © Anya Schwartz.

Mythology buffs tell us that the hellcat is much easier to spot than it's common cousin, the housecat, though they neglect to say why. Unfortunatly, the animal appears to thrive in the deeply poisonous decay of a dying world, amoung lava and sulfur and carbon dioxide, so they are quite hard to study and perhaps best left alone anyway. Boshe the kitty is © me.\r\n\r\nNo, I'm not a cat person.

Just something fast for a change of pace, done in Painter while sacrificing a cheese to the art gods.\r\n\r\nI can't find any of my old stuff of Ice (CURSE YOU HD CRASH), just one from Michelle: http://darkelementals.com/guest/caliicerun.jpg\r\n\r\nI dunno. You guys lucked out. I wrote a huge desc for this on DA XD\r\n\r\nAnyway, this is old, I just colored it today. The biggest problem I see is the angle of her beak in relation to her face. loloops l2draw\r\n\r\nIcewing is the unfortunate offspring of Emily and Winterwing, who somehow ends up in the primary care of Wildwing. You can tell by her sunny disposition.\r\n\r\nIcewing is © Shannon Fowler.

Collaboration between myself and Michelle Latta . I'm liking this one a lot more than our previous ones... because I think the coloring style I chose better fits her linework than my usual 'OMG EVERY DETAIL POSSIBLE'-ishness.\r\n\r\nAnyway, her linework, my colors. Any stupid, squiggly lines in the background that don't fit in with the others are mine, because I'm a failure at inking. Whoot.\r\n\r\nIt's already been pointed out that's it looks a little dark, but all I can say it looks fine to me and next time YOU can color it :P I didn't want garish colors! I got over those when I turned 14 XD\r\n\r\n<3 Character and linework © Michelle Latta. Color and stupidity © me, just cause. That's right. I invented stupidity and none of you can trace it.

Still not quite remembering the reizing thing 9.9 This one gave me so much trouble it hardly seems worth it... and I don't like it as much as the last one... though since this lady's been waiting for her duck, she probably disagrees. Jonas is © Beth Broenell, Artwork © Shannon Fowler

A painting I did two days ago in...well, Painter. It was more a study on leather than anything else, but now that it's this far, it probably needs a background. Within 5 minutes of uploading it to Devart some guy faved it, so yeah, I decided to give her eyebrows... I mean, if people are going to fav it, she may as well have eyebrows :P\r\nArtwork © 2004 Shannon Fowler\r\n

At last! It is complete! More work on my loon character, who is now in desperate need of a name! (I swear I had one last week. I felt like drawing a loon. I'm not very pleased with where the focus of the image is (by accident) but ohwell. It's a loon. With blue. Next time I promise it will be a reasonable color. Loon is © Shannon Fowler

Had my own projects I was fiddling with for a few days, and suddenly the realization hit me that I should be a responsible artist \r\n\r\nAnyway, a gift out of the way for my 50th DevWatcher (ah yes! So there is reason to the rhyme!). It's a bit different from the original sketch I showed her. Heh ^^ Much thanks goes to http://www.caliosidhe.deviantart.com , who saved this from being the disaster the first vesion was ^^. Bunny © Lucky-Pony\r\n\r\nSorry about the re-upload folks. A 'fast' drawing that took 5 hours. ahahaaa... *headdesk*\r\n\r\nI musta redrawn this TWELVE TIMES before I finally got a version I liked, and I pledge to you, one day, I shall learn to draw! But next month, and I'm pretty sure that, between finals, figure drawing, printmaking, NaNoWriMo, and commissions, I'm going to have myself a more than superficial hand injury soon (hurray).\r\n\r\nAnyway, something marked off my commissions list. Whoooo.... Hopefully I'll be forgiven for messing with his outfit ^^\r\n\r\nLucus is © Lee Shapiro

I think this counts as a Halloween costume XD While the rest of the world partied, I spent Halloween stealing manpants (and wearing them, because you know, that's what they're for). Manpants turn out to be very comfortable, so they have not been returned. NYAH! Emily is © me.

Kitton's been doing a mixed media project of late. So I was like 'zomg cool' and tried my hand at something.... I guess it's a little more orderly, which kinda defeats the purpose of letting loose in mediumn ;) I learned a few things... Like you can't use alcohol based markers on wrapping paper. That half my Tria's are dry. And that I really don't have a clue ^^ Ink, marker, wrapping paper, newsprint, and I guess you can still see some of the pencil lines. Sedia and artwork belong to me

Playing around with Painter's brush effects and a limited pallet. 5 colors, the blindness was a side-effect I wasn't going for. A lot of symbolism, I'm sure, but I'm too tired to real ly, truly notice.
