Meet Kairn, the newest addition to my artistic group of character-type-things.\r\n\r\nHe's a horse. Yes.\r\n\r\n(c) 04, t. hughes

Got a Wacom tablet, and this is the first bit of art I've done with it. Completely in Photoshop. ^.^\r\n\r\nIt looks sketchy because I wanted it to look sketchy. I thought the unfinished sort of look, where the guidelines weren't erased, added something interesting to the picture, instead of just another dog sitting at a table.

The Infinite Sadness (bonus points if you recognise the reference). I was going for a washed out effect, using pale, desaturated colours. Not sure if it worked. The graininess is due to the 'Film Grain' filter, 'cause I thought it helped the subject.\r\n\r\n(c) t hughes

Haven't drawn much recently. Here's something new.\r\n\r\nAs always, (c) 2003, t hughes

Karo, again. This time translating some ancient runes. \r\n\r\nThe reason he looks pissed is because the translation turned out to be a recipe for bean dip. No, honest!\r\n\r\n(c) 2003, t hughes

This is Karo, my jackoon (jackal/raccoon) archaeologist. Fell asleep reading, again. Odd that his book contains no words.\r\n\r\n(c) 03 t hughes

It's a naked fox on a bed. There's really not much else to say. Cute, isn't he? Not my very best, but I love the colouring.\r\n\r\n(c) 03, t hughes.

The second of my worthy sketches from this morning's class. The story behind this is already been posted. This is my little memorial to my poor, lost mouse.

A little explanation is in order: about a month ago, I bought two mice, and named them Spook and Gadget. Gadget died today. During my first period (very boring) class, I started doodling on a piece of notebook paper, and this is one of the two sketches I came up with--an anthromorphised version of Spook. I think she came out well (considering I've never drawn a female before).

Singing mouse. The song is 'Blinded', by Hannah, and very, very good. He's sort of elongated. \r\n\r\n(c) 03 t hughes

Another mouse. Looks like he's in trouble, doesn't it? ^^;; I, personally, think this is the cutest thing I have ever done. This was done while at work, on the back of a blue 5x7 index card. \r\n\r\n(c) '03 t hughes

Mouse. I like the way the ocean behind him came out, except that it curves too much. Oh, well, let's just say he's /really/ high up. ^.^;; \r\n\r\nThe lyrics are from .hack//SIGN, Yuki Kajiura's 'Key of the Twilight', which inspired this particular picture. \r\n\r\n(c) 03 t hughes

I've been experimenting with new species (usually I only draw dogs and cats), and here was my first attempt at a bunny, in a rave. The left ear (your right) is a little off, and he's about to fall over, but other than that, it looks okay, I think.\r\n\r\n(c) 03 t hughes

My first skunk, whee. Also my first upload, extra whee. ^.^\r\n\r\nWhat we've got here is an apprentice warrior (in training), looking apprehensive. There was originally a second fur (master and apprentice), but he didn't look good, so he got erased.\r\n\r\n(c) 03 t hughes
