Smallish piece for AC! I borked the perspective on the sheets, but I don't think that's what most people will be looking at... ;)

Someone came to look through my print binders at WTF and asked if I had any dalmatians. I don't! That had to be remedied!

Oh, and those dividers actually exist (in white though), I think they look so neat!

Uh Oh

My first serious foray into acrylics. Erilo got me a set for my birthday a while ago. Although I guess that's cheating a little bit since I did some base blocking in with markers. Still, most of it is acrylic. This took several days of work, that grass in the front absolutely killed me, and yet scanned badly. :P The whole thing looks a lot better and more detailed irl.

This thing had to be scanned in four parts and spliced together (I could have done it in two, but doing cosmetic surgery in photoshop over the midline is a bit more tricky).

When we Kiss

There is a history of fuck ups behind this drawing. I started it as a traditional piece for this past Anthrocon (so, almost a year ago) at the last moment. I had it all happily inked and stretched out, as I wanted to do the base in watercolors. Which I then proceeded to completely fuck up beyond belief! Then it just sat there for months, all sad and full of frisket. My boyfriend then suggested that I make it into a cut-out and do a spiffy 3D-like piece, until we both realized that the frisket had of course left green stains on it after peeling it off a year later. That shit should not be left on for over a couple of days. D:

So now it's traditional media textured in some spots. I used a bit of a photo for the wall and painted over it in a lot of places.

How Romantic

It's not my usual coloring style, as you can see. At first I was going to just flat color it, and then I got carried away. So there isn't any proper shading or fur texture at all. But it has a soft look to it which I think is cool nonetheless.

Yours

My character and that Erilo. This piece will also be at FC, it's just a fun excuse to draw these two, especially since it's the first time his new character has been in porn. Ha!

This is all marker (with a taaad of white paint on the eye and claw shines, ears, her hair and her butt). My stupid discovery this year: no matter how I hate that horribly thin marker paper, it allows far more detail when actually working with them. Duh, Shin. :B

Oh, I also don't really have the proper marker colors for her, so this is also a test of sorts.

Pokerface

This is mostly watercolor, with a few white acrylic highlights. My scanner picks up white a bit too well by the way, he's a bit less blinding irl and all the fur areas are detailed, there are no pure white patches.

He Can

Coyote guy I did for the EF art show on some cool toned parchment. The paper is a pain in the ass to color on, but so pretty irl (can't really see it too well on the scan).

Lord of Thieves

All copic marker, aside from a little white paint for whiskers and small details. I bought myself marker paper to give it a shot once again, and, while it does make the whole coloring process go smoother.. boy do I hate how thin it is. It's a miracle that I managed to not completely fuck this up by crumpling it, or worse! Photo ref used to get the lifted arm area to look right.

But here, have a lion boy (on a background that is not as eye blinding irl).

Dancing Spots

I recently got this little sketchbook with multicolored paper, which is just the cutest! Unfortunately not the best kind of paper for colored pencils, I struggled a lot to make this look decent. But still fun! And she looks neat irl, there's iridescent paint on the cloth and gold paint for the jewelry. Shiiiny. :3

Fly

This scanned badly. But it was either that or having the watercolor paper texture all over it. D: There is quite a bit more subtly blue sky visible in the original. Also, the feathers are now painted over in iridescent acrylic, it looks really neat!

I kind of failed on the far leg perspective on this one, but thankfully it doesn't seem to be as noticeable when looking at it irl for some reason. 5"x7", watercolor with pencil lines and a tiny bit of white acrylic ink.

Material Girl

I often do these sort of art challenges for myself. For this one, I wanted to see if I could color it with markers only over the pencil lines, without inking them. I think it's a neat effect! The only ink that went on is for the eye and lip, and there is absolutely no color pencil at all here.

Demon Shin

AC preorder commission, on the theme of "demon girl". The commissioner suggested I could use Shinnie for it, and of course I was more than happy to. :3

Great Heights

The only piece I finished while I was at my man's house for two weeks. Sad! But I actually did a semi-elaborate background in traditional media for once, so it's not all bad. :B

I am in the Netherlands with my boy now for 2 weeks, so art production will suffer. :B

The stylized cutting of the legs does look a bit weird coupled with the background, that's my only regret here. I didn't plan on this kind of bg when I did the lineart, but it looked good otherwise so I went with it anyway. Male Shins do have legs that continue past the knee, really. X)

Hair is tedious but I love drawing them flowey manes anyway! <3

Saxay Poneh

Ok, this sexy boy is technically not mine anymore, but I am still allowed to show him off so yay! It is a commission with the reproduction rights sold as part of the deal, and he will be made into door hangers, magnets, tshirts (with clever sensoring, hehe) and prints, which you'll be able to get at Lagarto's, at I think as early as this upcoming AC.

This is pretty much the fist time I've used a photo as a background for any of my pieces, but circumstances warranted it, and I don't think it looks too horrible and out of place as they usually do, so it's all good! :D

A collaborative project between many artists, the name is pretty self descriptive. It shall be awesome!

I chose to do an Aphrodite/Venus as a civet because I felt like it, heh. Her hair is turning into sea foam (as I was coloring it I kept lamenting it looked like something else, but I think that's just cause I draw too much porn and need to get my mind out of the gutter XD). I tried to make it look a bit like a renaissance painting, and it's loosely based on The Birth of Venus by Bouguereau and the Venus Victrix sculpture, by Antonio Canova.
