Quickie color job on this, for the general idea. My boy is getting a corset commissioned for me from Graywolf, who makes absolutely amazing works of art. This is just a design, it might turn out differently in the end. But.. Eeeeee!

Xianjaguar gave me some.. I guess it was illustration board? at FC so I could doodle with her on thursday night. Well, this lady is what came out and I finished her recently.

It looks a bit different from my usual marker coloring because this paper absorbs them much slower than the bristol I'm used to.

This inked commission from FC came back to me and I was asked for a color job. :) This is for Arky and Cage.

I will soon be taking regular commissions too, I just need to make up a price list. Or still considering doing them in auction-format. We'll see, it all depends on how much free time I shall have.

Gold and Silver

I've been pretty sick the past couple of days after what we think was eating some rather bad sushi. So.. in between naps here's another, this time more ambitious, watercolor piece. All watercolors and just a bit of white, black and gold acrylic paint. The gold scanned pretty bad actually, but that's to be expected. It looks really neat in person (so I'm a sucker for shiny things). The dragon was inspired by Skadjer's amazing ones.

My big piece for the end of 2007, beginning 2008. Worked on it new year's eve, even. Don't even ask how long it took, I have no idea, but I almost worked on it full time some days!

Commissioned by Reset. Firetail and Shin having a "contest" in a world of blue desert and abandoned cities. If Shin loses, Firetail takes her soul. But it's not fair, she's cheating! :3

The sand in the foreground was pretty heavily referenced, I couldn't get the ripples to look right. Rest of the shit's all mine, yay.

For a while I considered putting a watermark on it because even the web file is pretty big, but you know what, no. Assholes will always be assholes. But if you like my art and want to support what I do, you can buy a print from me. Watermarks ruin artwork.

So almost exactly a year ago, BNG gave me some canvas boards. I recently found them in the mess that was left after I moved out of my mother's house and thought I'd use one. This is done in microns, thus the funny texture. I sure as hell can't paint properly, but this is a fun alternative! I think the second piece I've ever done in a cross-hatch style.

This is my second piece ever done in acrylics (aside from a few lighthearted tries during the years that never got anywhere because I didn't work through the this looks like shit stage). The first was in 2001 I believe.
Frankly, I don't know how to paint traditionally in anything other than watercolor (and even then..) and it shows.

Anatomy is blocky because I had to try to fix so many painting mistakes by layering more paint, and the color I had mixed for the background had dried out, so the white wolf's legs kept getting progressively fluffier.

Woe. I am certainly no painter, until someone can show me how to properly do it, I think I should stick to markers, pencils and digital.

This is one of those freaky drawings in which I completely forgot that ballpoint and alcohol based markers are not good together and had to backtrack a lot. Art does not always involve a lot of thinking for me, apparently. XD
