It's actually for the equinexchange over at LJ, but I got to draw for a friend so yay! Starstrike, the twicorn.

Commission. Been a while since I've done a background in markers. I like how everything is soft and he really stands out with his strong colors. Though this could have been much better were my markers not dying. Some of them were ok, but the light greys and the golden brown for his wings were just -dead-. I had originally planned to give the wings a metallic effect since they're supposed to be gold, but the markers told me to fuck off. ;_;

Sunbathing

Random. The purpose was to do an all ballpoint piece again. I try to do one or more every year, it's a great exercise in hand-eye coordination. The dog thinger was an afterthought, I just wanted to keep going. :P

A commission I did for Cricket because she ordered and helped fund my first set of copics a few months ago. So here we have us enjoying some sushi with plushies of our respecrive boyfriends. And Cricket eating her rat Gordo with chopsticks? XD Well, she originally said I should have a rat velcroed to her face but that proved difficult to pull off. XP And lingerie! She knows I dont like working on anatomy and then having to cover it up with clothes so she suggested lingerie. That solves everything. X3

Sword Dancer

Hmm. This is darked than it was. It was also what I was wearing today, demonstrating that my bad taste in color coordination does not only manifest itself in my drawings.

I checked the archives last night because I had some free time and I havent done so in about half a year. What do I see? A lot of stuff that looks suspisciously like my characters.

Trying out cel shading. I dislike it a lot. A very select amount of people can actually pull it off decently (excluding myself) yet so many use it. It's faster though, that's for sure.

YES. Oh god yes. This thing has been lying around forever. It's my layout! Or it will be, with nice text and someone else to make it into one. Because I'm not touching coding myself. Nooo. The lineart's a bit old and my anatomy has gotten better, but I'm still quite satisfied with it overall. I think I'm understanding coloring a bit better now, as you can see I now delve into the realm of reflected surroundings, if a bit sloppily. I'll get better. Now I just wish I was better at planning so I could do similar things with traditional media.

Thinking of You

More in the omg what is watercolor series. I quite enjoy them but I wish I was more efficient and bold, I take too long. X) Oh well. Practice practice practice.

This was a commissioned piece. The background's a bit lacking, but that's what I was paid to do. If I had more time, I would have elaborated on things, for sure. I think it still turned out pretty, it just all scanned really poorly. Especially the sky. o.o Looks much better and is much darker irl.

Reference was used for the closer tiger's head, and for tiger stripes in general (they're not zebras, people). Should have used some for the anatomy as well, it seems.

My (still unfinished) half of an art trade with Dark Toki of her character, Toki. I really like the inking and the pic itself.. except I majorly screwed up with the background.. Jeez. I should have waited to get home, get a ruler and do it properly.

Gonna photoshop this up soon, although it already looks pretty finished..

Tradie with the amaziriffic Bloodhound Omega. *luff*

This is /THE/ piece at the moment. Nothing has ever achived this level of detail (and even then, most of it was lost to my scanner) and this size, coming from yours truly. Ever. This isnt even all of it, there's a few centimeters missing from each side.

Waah. It's exasperating. It looks so much better in real life, my scanner hates green and hates dark colors. I had to play with this to get the colors right but then lost a lot of detail in the fur in the process.

I'm going to use this for my program switch into art or something.

I listened to the song Strawberry Gashes by Jack Off Jill throughout the whole coloring processus which took place at 2 am last night.

Oh, and before some smartass decides to point out that coral snakes aint that big, I know. -_-

It's Bloodi's treasure huntress character. I really.. Don't like this one. I like the concept, but the anatomy's terrible and the ink pen was dying and so I wasn't able to get an even shading like usual. The worst part is how high up her boob is. XD Just.. meh. Whatever.

It doesn't look like a tattoo, but the simple inked version was meant to be a one (and I have a scan of that so it still can be). I just decided it needed some colorness or something. And a crazy shadow.

Unicorn/Pegasus/Kirin

She did a wonderful piece of my character with this man right here, and he looked so effing awesome that I had to draw him.

Some things wrong with the anatomy, but ehh.. no reference and all as usual, so I'm allowed some mistakes, right? Right? ;_;

These are all done on one page of Bloodi's sketchbook. I was doodling while listening to Neurology lecture recordings (I tend to skip out on that class a lot because it's ends at 6fuckingPM and it takes me an hour to get back home).

It was her birthday not long ago so I said I'd draw her something and she asked for theeees. Assless chaps. Too bad I ride english and don't know how the hell to draw chaps from behind. I claim artistic license! XD

A gift piece I did for the EF art show manager, Watani, just as a thanks for doing such a great job. I realised how much work it really was after talking to him some more after it was all over. This is not exactly what he requested (I lacked more precise info) so he wont be getting it tattooed, but I think it would still look neat as some kind of web graphic or something.

Done a day before christmas I believe. The lineart is actually from 2003, but I wanted to test photoshop on my new computer (and let me tell you, it was an orgasmic experience. It went like whoosh! And I was like OMTsofasttt! And.. yes. Shutting up now).

Sort of.. a gift thing for Wylde on behalf of Bloodhound Omega. He had asked me for a sketch commission at EF but since we're all friends I said he didn't have to pay me. And then I never got time to actually do it! But I keep my word so here is a sketch, and nicer than it would have been at EF. Also, the paper is this color, it's not a bad scan.

I think I like where I'm going with coloring right now. A bit more color theory sinks in every time. XP I like the corset thingie here. I dislike the funny shape of the head, but it's an overall improvement anatomically, I find.
