Another one of those spur of the moment works. I like it, as it's a feminine peice, something I can rarely achieve. And no, she doesn't have breasts. Reptiles don't have have them, why should she? When the pic is colored her scales will be shades of grey, red, yellow and green.\r\nThe Garter Snake is (c) me.

Image: German-Shepard-2.jpg   504x648 41969 bytes 2005.03.23

All digital German Shepherd portrait. Second all didgital piece that I've ever done. Used photo reference.\r\n\r\nArt (c) J.S. "SteelJaw" Lee

Image: grantcornell1.jpg   550x392 58702 bytes 2002.06.24

The three forms of a were-shark character for Twilight MUCK. Done in pen and ink, meant to be colored.\r\nArt (c) me.

Image: grantcornell2.jpg   550x380 44763 bytes 2002.07.28

When I drew tigershark1.jpg, this is what I entended. I wanted him to be a charging Mako with a gaping maw. Needless to say it didn't come out like that. So here's the second attempt. Still not a mako, instead it's my wereshark character in his halfbreed form. He's a great white shark, and can be vicious if provoked. I'm fairly pleased with the pose.\r\nGrant Cornell is (c) me.

Image: hammerheads1.jpg   550x432 56071 bytes 2002.06.20

A pair of morphic Scalloped Hammerheads, just having emerged from the ocean on a nightly prowl on the land. I'm really proud of this peice, again I've come out of a slump. I used Poser 3, a neat 3D program, to help me find tthe poses I wanted to use. I recomment it for any artist!\r\nThe Hammerheads are (c) me.

Image: harry1.jpg   268x500 26268 bytes 2001.07.05

Harry is a Caninite Great Dane. His job? Working for the Caninite Mob! This is one of my simpler line drawings. It's meant to be more of a guide for coloring, than a work of it's own.\r\nHarry is (c) me.

Image: hemlock1.jpg   600x489 29431 bytes 2004.07.28

Pen and ink of Hemlock, a guardian spirit who was born in the form of a Llewlyn-type English Setter. It's her duty to keep her charge safe from danger, a task she completes on Twilight MUCK.\r\n\r\nMicrons on Inkjet paper.\r\n\r\nHemlock is (c) me.

Image: hemlock1c.jpg   650x529 94139 bytes 2006.01.06

Colored version of Hemlock. Went for an 'art deco' feel with the background, to match the border. Done with colored pencil, original was inked with Microns.\r\n\r\nCharacter and artwork are (c) J.S. Lee

Image: hyenaportrait.jpg   425x550 24072 bytes 2002.04.02

My first ever Photoshop 'Painting'. I'm fairly proud of it, and I think it's the longest I've ever worked on a single image in one sitting. Huge Thanks to Jakkal for teaching me the techniques!\r\nArt is (c) me.

Image: hyenaportrait2.jpg   485x600 30731 bytes 2002.04.05

This is the second version of the Hyena portrait from before. I sat and messed around with it, and added the gradient to lift the hyena away from the black, added the signature/date/copyright and allowed for a slightly larger pic to show detail.\r\nArt is (c) me.

Image: Identity-Crisis.jpg   540x700 73117 bytes 2006.01.06

Quick sketch for my adopted brother. His demon character being influenced by an angellic feline named Vanessa, and a demonic yours-truly. Done entirely in pencil.\r\n\r\nVanessa and Midnite are (c) themselves, artwork (c) J.S. Lee

Image: jestel1.jpg   550x454 40190 bytes 2003.12.25

My entry for the December 2003 WAG Challenge. This month was to combine 6 animals of the admin's choosing into one beast. They wanted as smooth a combination as possible. The six animals I was given was the Shortfin Mako, Elk, Eared Grebe, Loggerhead Musk Turtle, Tarantula and Jaguar. It definately was a challenge to fit that many creatures into one thing.\r\n\r\nMicron pens on hotpress sketch paper.\r\n\r\nJestel is (c) me.

Image: kaze1.jpg   221x500 27772 bytes 2001.07.05

Kaze, the great Wolfian General. Wolfians are anthro-wolves that are native to a planet near Alpha Centauri.\r\nKaze and Wolfians are (c) Kaze's player.

Image: kaze1c.jpg   400x500 33312 bytes 2001.07.05

The same pic of Kaze as above, but colored digitally with Photoshop 5.5.\r\nKaze is (c) his player.

Image: kaze2.jpg   573x600 41385 bytes 2004.07.28

Pen and ink drawing for my RL sibling. Ookami no Kaze (Kaze on SPR). Enjoy!\r\n\r\nMicrons on inkjet paper.\r\n\r\nKaze is (c) her player, art (c) me.

Image: kaze2c.jpg   438x550 79598 bytes 2002.06.10

Wow, two good digital colorings in one night! That has to be a record for me. Again, this is a product of Photoshop 7. The best way to learn a new version of a proggie is to use the heck out of it.\r\nSecond in the series of 'Wiz Portraits' for FTL MUCK, this is Kaze, our Keeper of the Code, and my brother.\r\nKaze is (c) himself, art (c) me.

Image: keeperoftomes1.jpg   520x750 123008 bytes 2003.11.21

I broke my 600 rule with this, so it's 750 on the long dimension, a bit larger, but I couldn't stand to shrink it down any farther for the detail.\r\n\r\nThis was a piece that tortured me for almost 3 weeks. I've been planning, sketching and inking for that amount of time. It's a study in anatomy, lighting, mood and setting, and I wanted to use a very rare species to be anthro'd, a Nurse Shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum).\r\n\r\n.005 Micron pens and Sharpie on hot-press sketchpaper.\r\n\r\nThe Keeper of the Tomes is (c) me.

Image: Kichaa1.jpg   446x550 49165 bytes 2002.03.13

Sometimes I suprise myself.\r\nThis was inspired by the 'Truck Drawings' that I had been doing at work. I was pleased with the raven, and thought 'Might as well do one for real'. So I did. This peice took me several hours to complete, and is graphite on bristol board.\r\nThe subject of the peice is Kichaa, my Ajaba (were-hyena) in her crinos form. She's just a little intimidating, and can be found on Twilight MUCK.\r\nKichaa is (c) me.

Image: kichaapanya1.jpg   322x500 44528 bytes 2001.12.05

This is Kichaa, an Ajaba (were-hyena) and Panya, a Ratkin (were-rat). Kichaa was attempting to teach Panya a lesson, and in so she taunted him into attacking. When he lunged at her, she sidestepped and caught him in the back. Needless to say, the lesson was learned!\r\nKichaa is (c) me, Panya is (c) his player.

Image: Kyfhon1.jpg   365x550 31822 bytes 2001.12.05

This is a pic of a very, very good friend of mine. In fact he's a brother to me. Kyf is a Tyrrian, a type of felinoid alien that resembles a black Caracal. They have a profound knowledge of nanotech, and weapons.\r\nKyfhon is (c)his player.

Image: kyfhon2.jpg   396x500 36743 bytes 2001.12.24

The second linework peice for a CG portrait. Kyfhon is the 'Keeper of the Box' for the upcoming FTL, and here's the initial work for his 'Wiz Portrait'.\r\nKyfhon is (c) himself.

Image: kyfhon2c.jpg   436x550 60739 bytes 2002.06.09

A colored version of Kyfhon2.jpg. I finished this for my brother in spirit as a thank you for all the help he's given me over the years. Thanks Kyf!\r\nThe image is digitally colored in Photoshop 7, and has 2 digital photos I took incorperated into it.\r\nKyfhon is (c) himself, art is (c) me.

Image: lilly1.jpg   550x362 31621 bytes 2003.04.19

A portrait of Lilly, a canine-fox mix that resides on SPR MUCK. She requested a drawing from me, and it was much different from what I'm used to doing so I took the challenge. I wanted her to look sexy and definately feminine, which is something that I don't often accomplish in my works. I also wanted to make her good looking, while keeping with realistic proportions. I think I may have pulled it off with this one.\r\nLilly is (c) her player, art (c) me.

Image: lion1.jpg   395x550 49798 bytes 2002.07.03

A lion-morph looking at a holographic map. When it's colored I'm going to overlay a real map, and fade it to look transparent. This was done for a close friend of mine who inspired it with his ability to visualise a city map and name off addresses. \r\nArt (c) me.

Image: Lobster1.jpg   550x409 53021 bytes 2001.12.30

I have finally done it! I finally created an anthro lobster I'm pleased with. I've been trying to create a character based on the stereotypical crustation for over a year. Last night I finally came up with it. I know I've been off on a tanget of odd species lately, but I guess I'm just tired of wolves/foxes/felines everywhere I turn. Needed something different.\r\nIf this lovely fellow was ever turned into a true character for MUCK/book/comic I would have to say he was engineered as a warrior, and later used as a mine worker. With strong claws, a stout exoskeleton and multiple limbs he would make a great miner. Chances are he'll be bitter, the butt of jokes and looked down upon for his job as a meer laborer. That, and he's not a handsome creature.\r\nThe Lobster is (c) me.

Image: maniac1.jpg   361x500 32877 bytes 2001.07.05

An old pic I did for a friend of mine. Maniac is a male Spotted Hyena.\r\nManiac is (c) his player.

Image: maniac1c.jpg   364x500 77004 bytes 2001.07.05

A colored version of the pic above. This is one of the very first digital coloring jobs I ever did.\r\nManiac is (c) his player.

Image: megumi1.jpg   550x385 36589 bytes 2003.04.25

This is Megumi, an original creation based on the TMNT universe. She has a weapon known as a kusari-gama, which I thought was most interesting. I haven't worked in that style since I was 12, so I had a lot of research to do before attempting the piece. A gift to her player, for the awsome RP on TMNT MUSH.\r\nMegumi is (c) her player, art is (c) me.

Image: mkaarathan1.jpg   473x550 40662 bytes 2002.02.20

This is a male Kaarathan. Kaarathans are a playable species on FTL MUCK that are often associated with a symbiotic species. Goatlike, they're perfectly suited to living on their ice-covered world.\r\nThis is actually a detail of a much larger sketch. The drawing was too large to scan in it's entirty. Hopefully I can get the entire peice scanned soon.\r\nKaarathans are (c) me.

Image: Moarte1.jpg   550x387 41305 bytes 2001.08.10

Moarte, who's name means 'Death' in Romany, is an alien species called a Soarakin. Dispite his vicious look, and his 7 foot height, he's a gentle, curious creature. He was recruited from his homeworld to serve as the Navigator/Co-pilot for Trinity on the Dark Star. This was a great honor among his people.\r\nMoarte and Soarakin are (c) me.
