Empres Emerald: I thought the Rajah Red (in my Anthro Gallery) needed a companion piece.

Nightsky-Bluewyrm! A thank-you pic from 2002. I was looking at the very-brightly-colored, almost folk-arty work of Laurel Burch, and was inspired to try a colored pencil piece for Nightsky, who's very colorful (and so nice!) herself. Prismas and Design colored pencils on black illustration board.

Wertle, the color-changing, glass-crafting dragon! She's quite multi-talented and really nice! :D I tried drawing her in a mix of my style and hers, though it ended up looking a bit like something by Phil Foglio... Pencil, with a colored, speckled cardstock bg; color added in Photoshop.

Wertle, again. She had drawn a more "realistic" version of herself on her website, so I tried my hand at it too. Once again I admit it's harder for me to draw cartoony than realistically! More power to all you cartoonists! Mechanical pencil on cardstock.

Graduation Dragon: My sister graduated from college in May (yaaay!) and, while it was wonderful to see her get her diploma :D, it was cold and rainy... so I drew this on the back of an invitation to keep my fingers from freezing. Hmm, I guess my default-scribble-mode is set to "fangy". RSVP pen and Photoshop.

Synn's a shapeshifter, and here she decided to be a dragon. *grins* Actually, this is an RSVP-pen sketch done at the laundromat, cleaned up & colored in Photoshop. This may serve as a color test for a larger painting (in which I hope to fix the eyes and off-angle lower jaw).

Cypherwulf! She did an incredible pic outta the blue of Synn, so I did this in return. I tried to keep Cypher's body more lupine - instead of feline, like my creatures usually end up, and I attempted to stay true to the proportions in reference pic she sent. The wings are a bit more realistic than my usual, though I'm still no expert, and there are problems with them I think... but, that's what practice is for! (er, I need to practice backgrounds, too...)

Dragon With A... Cigarette? Someone requested a pic of a "smoking dragon" as a joke for a friend who's trying to quit. *shrug* (apparently this guy is asking a lot of people to get in on the joke...? I dunno... oh, well) I don't smoke, so my husband had to find a pic of a cigarette for me... still, I haven't done too many dragons lately, so this was fun!

Tricks: 1992, pen. A stylized dragon-magician. *laughs* I did this while lying on the floor and watching TV. He looks like he should be on a bookplate or on the back of a playing-card.

Ice-Dragon: 1993, pencil. He was inspired by Tad Williams' dragon Igjarjuk (my apologies), but this is not really a portrait of him... I started one place, and ended up in another ;D. I do that.

SMILE when you say that!: 1993 Pencil sketch. He's got the standard "dragon head" I do. He took about 2 hours, between classes.
