zweihander.jpg
Image: zweihander.jpg   600x825 171377 bytes 2001.05.06

A new pic of the Iron Badger.
The weapon is a german Zweihander- also called a
Greatsword.
The armor shown is based on my new harness for SCA fighting.
The only major difference is that my helm is different.
I plan to get a salade like this later, but for now I have a sallet with a bar grill on the face.
The green coat is a padded gambeson, made of velvet.

tiger.jpg
Image: tiger.jpg   500x545 147460 bytes 2001.03.28

An experiment thats a few years old.
A tiger done entirely in colored pencil- no ink.
I'd completely forgotten about this piece, but found it recently.
I thought it was interesting enough to upload here, and I will be selling it on furbid, just for the hell of it.

yanglong.jpg

A anthropomorphised chinese dragon.
The name literally means "Man dragon."

Wheat's tigers- My old civil war reenacting regiment!
Properly named the 1st Louisiana volunteers, (Tiger rifles),
They were scum and villainy recruited from the backalleys, jails, salloons and gambling riverboats of the mississippi river.
The Tigers were hated and feared by their own side, as well as the federals, because of their wild and savage nature- but the confederates loved them on the day of the battle!
These are the guys who got disgusted by the slow rate of fire of their muzzle loading weapons, threw them away, and made a bowie knife charge into the yankees!
They wore a blue zouave jacket, a red shirt, white gaiters, and blue and white striped matress ticking trousers.
I can't stand the politics of reenacting these days, but I am still proud of my regiment!

from a series of t-shirts I was going to do,
back when I was an active civil war re-enactor.
My regiment were the Tiger Rifles,
and this shirt was for the ladies of our group.

As it says.

shariannobles.jpg
Image: shariannobles.jpg   600x838 180089 bytes 2000.11.12

Members of the royal family of Sharria.
Got the idea after seeing
the Peter Sellers version of "The prisoner of Zenda,"
I was working with Brock Hoagland on some stories of them, but we ran out of ideas.

perrissa.jpg
Image: perrissa.jpg   600x767 140287 bytes 2000.11.12

Brock Hoagland's leopardess assasin character, Perissa.

lyssette.jpg
Image: lyssette.jpg   600x810 116595 bytes 2000.11.12

Dana Evans' character out of Tai-Pan.
A black panther, (Which is actually a melanistic leopard or jaguar in real life-
There is no such thing as a seperate and distinct species called "black panther.")
She was an interesting character though- lots of piercings and considered sex an art form.
I liked her, but I haven't had any contact with Dana in years.

legion.jpg
Image: legion.jpg   600x827 117255 bytes 2000.11.12

A minor officer of the French Foreign Legion
in North Africa in the 20s.
I drew this piece after seeing "The Mummy."

keyo.jpg
Image: keyo.jpg   600x777 120561 bytes 2000.11.12

The last member of the Adventurers!
Along with Chun, Torval, and Morra-
From the story I couldn't seem to finish.

despair.jpg
Image: despair.jpg   600x780 344918 bytes 2000.11.12

Anothe atmospheric piece.
An angel of some type is taken prisoner
by some kind of supernatural Lord of Evil.
This was supposed to be one of a series of plates-
The next one would have been a Knight challenging the Evil Lord to battle,
finishing through several plates to the angel's rescue by the Knight.
But I ran out of enthusiasm by the time I finished this one,
and never did any of the others.

D&Dscene.jpg
Image: D&Dscene.jpg   600x826 203585 bytes 2000.11.12

One of the oldest pieces of my art I still have!
Done when I was still a more or less regular gamer.
Its pretty atmospheric, but most of my old art
I don't feel like letting anyone see.

congo.jpg
Image: congo.jpg   600x810 145492 bytes 2000.11.12

Victor Congo, the villainous jaguar I created for the Tai-Pan group years ago.
Hes a sadist, a general asshole, and a deadly professional killer.
I have no idea what the Tai-pan people did with him after I resigned from the collective.

brantiger.jpg
Image: brantiger.jpg   600x784 258665 bytes 2000.11.12

Bran, the diminutive immortal tiger warrior.

bomb.jpg
Image: bomb.jpg   600x792 230779 bytes 2000.11.12

An old piece.
Based on a painting from the Civil war era-
As the name says, first you say it, then you do it....

badgernap.jpg
Image: badgernap.jpg   600x777 185401 bytes 2000.11.12

After a long, hard day of defeating the forces of evil
and hunting man eating monsters,
Roland, The Iron Badger takes a well deserved break.

ultrabadger.jpg
Image: ultrabadger.jpg   600x790 45226 bytes 2000.09.25

"using the Beta Capsule, Iron Badger transforms into
ULTRA BADGER!!"

Yeah, so I love Kaiju movies and Ultraman in particular,
So sue me.

tankdragon.jpg
Image: tankdragon.jpg   600x582 78094 bytes 2000.09.25

Basic silliness.
This is a lesson for the dragon on how
overconfidence is bad for you.
The vehicle is a WW1 era
renault FT-17 tankette in postwar configuration,
with a 37 or 50mm cannon for infantry support
in place of the normal machine gun.

sponbadger.jpg
Image: sponbadger.jpg   600x773 67366 bytes 2000.09.25

The Iron Badger on Spontoon island,
where he was asked to come due to his formidable reputation
for killing maneaters.
The native were losing people due to a "Sea Demon" that was
eating them- they couldn't defend themselves, and they needed help.
The Iron badger came to the rescue.
Illo for a story for the "Spontoon" fanzine.

quakebadger.jpg
Image: quakebadger.jpg   600x770 69926 bytes 2000.09.25

is it a surprise I love the original "Quake?"
This piece inspired me to do some costuming-
as of this writing, I have finished the armor,
and am working on the mask to hit the cons as the quake badger.
Be afraid- be very afraid....

obsdragon.jpg
Image: obsdragon.jpg   600x768 162137 bytes 2000.09.25

An Obsidian Dragon.
An older creation of mine, I haven't done a lot with them,
but they are kind of neat.

dragonwarrior.jpg
Image: dragonwarrior.jpg   600x770 78461 bytes 2000.09.25

A random dragonish fighter.
The weapon is a Madu- a middle eastern design.
I used one when I was a fighter in the SCA- it is designed
for stabbing or shield punching only; you can't slash with the
blades due to the angle it forces your hand into.

badgerhunt.jpg
Image: badgerhunt.jpg   600x794 126525 bytes 2000.09.25

One of the versions of my persona, as a turn of the century
'Great White Hunter.'
He is currently stalking maneaters in the long grass.

Torra.jpg
Image: Torra.jpg   600x825 80178 bytes 2000.07.30

This piece is a colab with Megan Giles.

Ta'panga.gif
Image: Ta'panga.gif   608x769 53605 bytes 1999.11.08

This is a piece done for Crow Ravenscar.
She runs an elven holt that I used to be involved in.
Time, and the apparent apathy of the other members caused me to leave it a while ago.
I just don't have time to be in all the 'zines I used to get involved in.
