background : I don't know.. It started out that there were big floating heads in the sky above her.. but..I hated that idea. I was going to draw them seperately, then paste them on in Adobe and lower the layer opacity so that they were SEE THROUGH big floating heads.. The floating heads were, by the way:
Andre - her father. killed by Sabyrne.
Delphine - her biological mother, who beat and abused her till she died when Kae was six months old. Killed by Andre.
Sabryne - her adopotive mother, Andre's lover. beat and abused her until her death. killed by Kaena.
Kairo - her half-brother; raped and sexually abused her. fathered three failed litters to her and a fourth with one mentally challenged survivor that Kaena killed out of mercy. Killed by Andre.

background : Okay, this is a strange picture. The jackal [yes, that's a jackal. I've never seen one, and I had no reference - give me a break] and the Cobra are spirit-mates, both died, but the cobra was able to obtain life energy somehow, but the two can't "share" it - which means they can't be halfspirit halflive unless they're shifting energies; the Cobra needed the energy desperately so he's currently "stealing" it from his mate - who becomes a demon whenever the life energy leaves her - and taking it into himself, which is why she looks so stupidly surprised. And unfortunately, I have absolutely NO knowledge of Egyptian culture beyond fiction, such as Everworld books and The Mummy movies. X__x Which is why this picture is stinky. XP
inspiration : This is freakish as well. My sister has a snake named Plissken, and I was holding her one day, and it was dark out. I was standing next to my wall, getting something out of my dresser. The hall light was on, but that was the only light on upstairs, so I was getting a direct shadow of me cast onto the wall. Plissken had her tail in my shirt, because she was clinging to me, and I decided that I was going to put her back because she'd been out for almost an hour. So, I pulled her off of me, but she refused to let go. And on the wall, it looked like I was pulling a snake out of my body. O_O Which is where this came from. XD And you may notice that the jackal is an offshot of another random character of mine, pictured in ankh.jpg. XP
