SW's character Anima lunging at the viewer. Started sketching one morning & it turned into this. An okay drawing but it could be a bit more fluid, eh?

A bit simplistic, but hey - sue me ;P It's been at least a year since I've done any cell coloring. Mike (Lee Lee's), Judeca, and Shadow (Jolyn's) skipping school to roast marshmallows. Mmmmm. Actually inspired by a friend of mine who did just that (*cough*Chris*cough*).

Was demonstrating some filters to SilverWing that are useful for hair and fur, and somehow it turned into this little fluffball. Kinda cute though, ain't he? A bit scruffy, but he's got character ;)

Characters: Strix (hugging) and SilverWing (chibi)
Jolyn (SW) just left for NY - last night I drew this for her in Photoshop from a sketch I did while on a plane... I like how it came out, generally, but there are a few things I really wish I'd had more time on (I hadta rush, only had one night to draw it to get it to her by 8 and I started at about 1am)

Woo - *now* I'm getting nostalgic... My first real Photoshop image! Took a helluva long time to do, and it's one of Jolyn's old characters - a 'taur. The shading is decent, but there's no realism, or texture, or any of that - but there *is* a clean, professional look that most of my newer pictures have lost due to the speed of using a tablet. Hopefully I'll figure out how to merge the two, eh?

Done a loooong time ago, before I got my precious tablet... took thousands of mouse clicks, and something like 5 hours, total. Can't really remember why I did it - I think 'cuz Jolyn (SW) was going on about some artist who drew realistic furry wolves or something and I wanted to show that you can learn to draw anything if you really want to.

Well, the bottom half is a bit forced but I like the top half. "Neema," one of SW's characters - a white lion.

SW's main ego... uh... SW! At a rave, of course, with glowsticks and the like - unless she just happened to be wandering around on a dark, foggy night and forgot her flashlight.

Made a while back... but then, most of this stuff is gonna be made a while back, I haven't done too many full drawings as I've had to go to school and sleep (sometimes) & all that... spend all my time sketching. But anyway, this was a present for SW, penned and colored in Photoshop.

swmikecar.jpg

A couple days ago (3?) I was at Jolyn's and we were "babysitting" her li'l sister while her parents hosted one section of a neighborhood party-thing. Jolyn was neurotically rearranging the neatness that is her desk area, so I started sketching with her tablet in our Painter Classic LE (LE = Loser Edition). It's pretty messy, so I'll point out that it's Mike (passenger) and SilverWing (driver) in a car. With the headlights on. At night. Woo.

SheltieFied SilverWing With a Pinch of Muggishness and the Aeroma of Apple Cider - This was also drawn 3 days ago during Jolyn's parents' party. Jolyn was helping her sister get past the "block thingy" in Yoshi's Story so I started doodling again (in Photoshop this time) with the tablet. I started by drawing this sheltie print that was on our mug of apple cider, and then Jolyn commented on it's resemblence to SilverWing so I (through accident or design?) elongated the muzzle a bit and modified the markings & eye color & stuff. I rather like it, although credit for the original mug must be given to R.J. May

Dammit - I just wasted like 3 uploads 'cuz Opera (by default) has a RAM cache that's apparently even worse than IE's disk cache. I mean, sure it speeds up static pages, but... erg... anyway. This is one of the first sketches I did with my tablet (which I got some months ago) - Amy sent me a photo of her cat, Tiger, looking into her webcam, and I thought it was cool. NOT traced or anything, however.

Another early tablet doodle - I never actually finished this (I was playing around with Painter Classic LE, which came with the tablet... thus the bazillions of media, like watercolor, pencil, felt pen, chalk, etc) but I think it's decent enough. From another photo of Tiger, Amy's cat.
