Something I did for Alex "Sploot" Spastic's B-Day and trying out inking with a brush again, this time also trying out a quill pin (first time ever too!)

Poor Molly, working hard but she kept getting her cloths wet with the water but taking them off may have allowed them to get dry but she's still getting all wet as her mind begins to wander and she get all... distracted.

Okay, it's a couple of days late but I've had a busy week and didn't get it fully inked until Saturday. Nevertheless, here it is. The original concept for the picture was supposed to be a PG version of Edith but somewhere along the way it turned into a R-rated one with Poppy in order to make the gag work fully. I had planned for Poppy to eventually play off Max's Raven Hunt and gNAW's Hazel characters at Patriarch U. with Poppy and now I have :)

Kim Reed: Monkey Princess

A picture of gNAW's monkey girl Kim. It's always fun to draw her, perhaps more so than some of his other girls since being both a ninja and a monkey, she is so much more flexible, allowing difficult poses that most other gals wouldn't dare try.

Elaena Model Sheet

If Giddy lacks discipline, Elaena is very much her opposite, being a nicila. Her exterior demeanor is quiet and calm, rarely showing emotion, slipping out a detached observation and fortune-cookie wisdom very much like Rokki from Ken Singshow's Andorzons. Inside however she's a fairly passionate lady and when she cuts loose, well let's just say her boyfriend has had his hands full...

Lilac Model Sheet

More model sheet madness, this time of Lilac who is determined to prove that hobbits can be sexy. Oddest thing was after seven years of me drawing her, she never really had a full personality until "Strip Poker" when she became a perfect foil for the other characters to play off of. Lilac's become the cheerfully bubble-headed and yet wise and perceptive girl that makes you wonder how much her "dumb-girl" personality is really an act (I had someone like that as a lab-partner in High School, honestly). She's certainly the innocent sort that is impossible to stay mad at.

Thala Model Sheet

A model sheet for Thala, Adamoria's answer to Veronica Lodge. Pretty, cultured, loaded with loot, and a really nasty disposition when pissed off (which admittedly doesn't take much to do in Giddy's case). Thala's used to getting her own way and what she can't buy she'll try bullying and intimidation. It's not to say she isn't a good person underneath the spoiled brat, but there's a lot of spoiled brat in the way (she has after all gotten away with it for 40 plus years*)
*40 years is young for a gnome btw. She has a good 20-30 years left before her clan starts to pressure her to start settling down.

Nalissa Model Sheet

Finally got around to posting this model sheet to go with some of the others. I started this one back at AC but never got around to finishing the inks until recently. Nalissa is a frindar but belongs to the same species as Elanae. The frindar are a regional variant of the nicila originally native to the polar climate back on the home world. Unlike Elanae, Nalissa is a sensualist who openly displays her emotions and taps into her passions to drive her artistic muse.

Nalissa relaxing at the beach and showing off another of her skills: juggling. I admittedly based this picture on an old photo in a magazine showing someone juggling and loved the idea as well as the background of the sea and sky in the picture. No, its not a tracing (the positions of juggler and Nalissa are not the same) and the background is not a photo manipulation but painted from scratch with Photoshop tools. I had fun in getting the sense of motion in this picture as well as creating the sea and lighting effects.

Giddy Goblin Model Sheet

Yep, here is a model sheet of that mischievous trouble-making goblin girl whose schemes land her in and out of trouble (and often her clothes). Although not yet colored, you can still see her tribal tatooes in picture (including that big one of the stirge on her chest).

Something different in the way of a gargoyle picture from me and the "full-figured" fem as well. But I was rather struck by Gunmouth's picture of the character when her creator approached me at AC to do a sketch of her and had to take a crack at it or two

Gretchen Model Sheet

Yep, a model sheet of Gretchen though there is a distinctive lack of clothes in this one, but that may be due to the fact she never keeps her clothes on for very long, especially once she gets roped into one of Giddy's schemes

Ulma: Got Cheesecake?

Before Giddy there was my original goblin cheesecake girl Ulma. It was her in the old (slightly crappy drawn) Beachball pics but afterwards she got placed in more serious projects and made an appearance in Dela as a high-school chum to Dela that the role of a goblin bad-girl got passed to Giddy for the revamp. Actually Ulma is so old a character she goes back to '93 and "Dela the Hooda" nearly became "Ulma the Goblin" when the story was first drafted in '95 (it wasn't until '97 the comic came together as an internet strip)

It's that time of year again when bats like Sasha Gothica get the spotlight. In keeping with tradition, here's "Playbat" pic of the year

Bluestreak's b-day is coming up next week and I have a couple of ealry presents for him: Since he enjoyed the the BoPeep pics a while back, I'd thought to do a couple of prints for him

This piece was inspired after finding a book of Art Nuveau pieces from the 1890s. A lot of the arts loved to do funky things with naked ladies and fairy women popping out of flowers and so forth. A cute mousie gal is much more to scale than most other women and lends itself nicely to motiff I think.

Since we're still on a rodent kick, how about Edith's gal playmate Wini.

It started with a quick ass pencil sketch I did at a con in Montreal a few weeks ago. I liked the overall look and asked the owner of the sketchbook to send me a scan. Like the Carmaleta Fox pic I did a while back I redid the pic and changed Edith's wardrobe a little to make it a bit different from the original sketchbook pic.
