Colours by Katayama. I liked how he took Greg's idea of presenting the flashback in the style of an old photograph to capture the feel of late Victorian culture of Edith's universe.

Edith's Story (page 1)

This was done for the 3rd Dela treasury a number of years ago but since the book is sitting in perpetual Limbo for the lack of a publisher we decided to go ahead and release the comic. Most of the comic was coloured by Katayama except for this page and the last page which Greg coloured instead.

Firstly, since this story arc has brought up a lot of strong feelings in people, the lady in question who cheated is entirely fictional even if the problem is a legit one. We can laugh at her stupidity but she does remind us of real world problems.

Sue's strong words in the first panel does come from personal experience of knowing people who have had their art ripped off by other people claiming it was theirs and I personally have been p.o.'d by various online parasites putting my art up in their pay sites without my permission.

As for the comic, better late than never. Work on the Mhar Fantasy RPG (now out) took a lot of our time the last several months but we will be catching up this week with four strips planned.

Yes I read Girl Genius. I've been a fan of Phil Foglio's work ever since I read "What's New" when I picked up my first Dragon Magazine (#68 would you believe?). One night this little gem bubbled up at a art jam at Max's place after we stopped by the Comic Book Shop in Ottawa where I got GG #11.

It took a while to get around to doing it and Greg had fun trying out inking it with a *brush* instead of pens. I am surprised how well the Daleks came off too.

A little homage to Dan DeCarlo and his classic "Archie" covers. This pic shows Lilac and her boyfriend who both work part time jobs in the service industry in Adamoria. He works at a desert parlor, she works at the "Happy Halfling Coffee Co." snack bar in a busy mall.
