Image: bracken.jpg   429x537 38473 bytes 2001.10.24

This is a portrait done of one of my characters, someone that didn't totally work out on tapestries. I was trying to play with mono- and duo-chromes, and chose red and blue for contrast reasons. The patterns in the back represent water and snow, the former taken from a book of Japanese fabric designs from the 17th and 18th centuries. I think this one now hangs in Cali somewhere. Acrylic on canvas. 2001 Thomas Blue.

Image: brassring.jpg   280x359 27555 bytes 2002.08.17

A final version of an earlier, failed concept. This horse represents that big hunky guy at the club that always seems to be out of one's leauge. Cobalt blue and burnt sienna. Acrylics. 2002 Thomas Blue.

Image: bunny.jpg   400x500 23505 bytes 2001.10.26

Nobunny in particular, painted to look slightly out of focus. All digital, Painter Classic. 2001 Thomas Blue.

Last in the series; turned out not to be a horsie. Illustrator. 2006 Thomas Blue.

Image: cheatah.jpg   288x362 13706 bytes 2002.07.05

Another one from last year, this one never made it to con as it was given to friends as a Christmas gift. Acrylic on board, and yes, it's that dark. 2001 Thomas Blue.

My guess is that very soon, major fashion labels will start using l33tsp33k in their ads to not only grab the attention of their young audiences, but to push aside the older folks that don't get it. This is just my take on it. 2003 Thomas Blue.

Image: cheetahbball.jpg   341x534 26812 bytes 2002.03.15

Not a great scan, but it's from a photo; the painting is far too big to scan. This is an experiment in minimalism. I tried to convey as much as possible with just use of color. The picture is dull and off kilter. Blame winter sun partially. Image 2002 Thomas Blue.

Image: cheetahfashion.gif   557x730 38540 bytes 2003.11.18

Another fashion pic for no particular reason. Cheetah's look good in just about anything. 2003 Thomas Blue.

Image: cheetahwantedposter.gif   372x591 13893 bytes 2004.02.05

Cheetah, wanted for heinous...heyenas...terrible crimes committed against...someone. 2004 Thomas Blue.

With the advent of the release of the third issue of Circles, I can now post the work I did for the front cover. I finished this in April, but needed to keep it under wraps so that it would be somewhat of a surprise for readers. The foreground character is Arthur, the 'painted' character, Douglas (bear and otter respectively). If you haven't read Circles or don't know what I'm talking about, please head over to :\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIt's a good furry comic done as a slice of life view of a household of gay characters. This is -not- an adults only book and so far, does not contain any sexual content as that is not the main point of the story.\r\n\r\nThe cover was done in acrylics, characters 2002 their creators and/or Rabco, image Thomas Blue 2002. Uploaded with permission.\r\n

This is the back cover I did for Circles #3. In ways, I like it better than the front cover. Acrylic on watercolor paper. Taye 2002 Fabianek, French and Domanski, image Thomas Blue.

CK Penchant's "Jimmy Lee," in a rather racy situation; as either the model for the cover of a bondage gear catalog, or imagining himself as the same. For CK as he's a sweetheart. Image 2004 Thomas Blue, Jimmy Lee 2004 CK Penchant, posted with permission.

Crayon, a piece I did while sitting at the art auction of AC 2000. Just based on a spiral. 2001 Thomas Blue.

Image: commuters2c.jpg   582x404 80906 bytes 2006.03.11

Revisiting an older image. Commuting otters in three delicious flavors! Illustrator. 2006 Thomas Blue.

Image: conversation.jpg   314x423 30004 bytes 2002.09.29

Drawn while out at dinner, then painted at home the next day. Called 'the conversation' as that's the role I was filling in it. Crayons in restarants are dangerous things. Acrylic on canvas. 2002 Thomas Blue.

Image: cougarometry.jpg   281x357 24180 bytes 2002.07.08

Playing about with line a little more than usual, also tried to keep color loose, added some crayon. Sometimes working with dirty brushes is freeing. Acrylic and crayon on board. 2002 Thomas Blue.

Image: coyote.jpg   281x357 29194 bytes 2002.02.02

A bit more graffitti stuff. He looks a little sadder than I was hoping, but perhaps I'll fix the expression later. Drips (which remind a coworker of Herring, which was unintentional) and random coloring, acrylic, chalk and crayon. 2002 Thomas Blue.

Image: coyotok.gif   260x435 18314 bytes 2004.09.16

Coyote wants the moon but all he gets is stars...Illustrator. 2004 Thomas Blue.

Image: crowfashion2.jpg   361x475 97396 bytes 2004.07.29

Crows need jeans, too! Another fake ad, this time for Cre. Short for Creature? Illustrator and Photoshop. 2004 Thomas Blue.

Image: cubeport1.jpg   282x354 33469 bytes 2003.11.12

The first of three parts of a self portrait originally drawn in Illustrator. Acrylic on canvas board. 2003 Thomas Blue.

Image: cubistall2.jpg   162x490 37990 bytes 2003.10.22

A self portrait of sorts, still being worked on. I wanted to play around a bit with cubism, using line and color to suggest multiple views. The part of the caption that's cut off at the top reads, "If I don't." 2003 Thomas Blue.

Image: cubisthorse.jpg   305x428 31293 bytes 2003.12.17

Redo of an earlier painting. Acrylic on canvas board. 2003 Thomas Blue.

Image: cubposter.jpg   571x719 115763 bytes 2006.09.13

The cub, from fite! Illustrator.

Image: danceryote.jpg   281x357 25548 bytes 2002.06.18

This one has been a long timein the finishing. It involves a kind of painting that I don't particularly like, i.e. hunched over the drawing table with the lamp only about have a foot above the board. This is based of an AC sketch I did for Pseudo Manitou half drunk with crayons in a restarant last year. Acrylics on board. 2002 Thomas Blue

Image: darkchee.jpg   285x358 12536 bytes 2002.07.05

Another image shown and sold last year. I liked the sketch for this more than the finished work. The figure's too small, and while the background is meant to make him feel boxed in, there's too much of it. Acrylic on board. 2001 Thomas Blue.

Image: deadendotter.jpg   157x259 19862 bytes 2005.07.28

Another b-ball otter, or just one that's slouchy. Brush, crowquill, ink. 2005 Thomas Blue.

Image: dicey.jpg   284x359 36500 bytes 2001.10.24

This scan came out a little contrasty. It's the firedogs, Dicey and Scruffy, done as a gift for Paf. Acrylics on canvas. This is probably my most cubist piece. 2001 Thomas Blue.

Image: dog.jpg   325x551 27152 bytes 2002.05.23

Reupload of this pic due to background noise. Dog, one of Gloomwolf's latest characters from a comic he's working on. Dog 2002 Gloomy Image 2002 Thomas Blue.

Image: douglas.gif   224x514 10516 bytes 2003.11.13

Douglas, also from Circles done in the same style. 2003 French/Domanski/Fabianek.

Image: eddie.jpg   428x528 33652 bytes 2001.10.24

The last painting done under the name Kamen Kyote (though the sig has been photoshopped here). This is Eddie, lead singer of a band that never was. Think of Counting Crows mixed with Portishead. This one hangs above my bed. Acrylic on canvas. 2001 Thomas Blue.
