This is probably my favorite of recent attempts. It's a self portrait, painted in the bathroom mirror (note the shower curtain in the background) over a series of days. The coyote head, all blue is meant to look pasted on. That and its color are symbolic of various things. The contrast in colors is also deliberate. The canvas in the painting is in fact the one I was painting on at the time, the one on which this image sits. Image ©2002 Thomas Blue.

This painting is from AC 2000. I really liked it, and was sort of sorry I sold it. But, it went to a friend, so I know where it is. (Thanks, Paf!) It's acrylic on canvas, about 16x20. Image ©2001 Thomas Blue.

Another image that came from nowhere. I just opened my Encyclopedia of Mammals and there he was. I've never drawn a rhino, so why not? The name seemed appropriate and like the critter, popped into my head without prodding. Acrylic on board. Image ©2002 Thomas Blue.

RBG crayon, this is an abstract Mercury (otter). He's wearing red leather, looking over his shoulder. Crayons, when they're just right, blend like a dream. ©2001 Thomas Blue.

This is a gift for my mate's family of their recently deceased cat, Tiger. He was an ornery bastard, but I think loved in his own way. Watercolor/colored pencil. ©2003 Thomas Blue.

A little something for Chris Goodwin on Halloween. It's a lil' goober buy in the winter coat his mom made him wear. Happy Halloween! ©2003 Thomas Blue.

A little distraction I did today. I'm using the word "myrmidon" not so much in the ancient Greek meaning, but the "6th level fighter" meaning. :"D ©2004 Thomas Blue.

This is a commission for a coworker who's not even a fur. He saw the sketch and asked me to paint it for him. This one's really hard to see, and isn't nearly this bright in person. Again, fault of no one. Acrylic on canvas. Image ©2002 Thomas Blue.

This polaroid came out a little better. This is a second version of an earlier painting for the same person, a non-fur coworker. I decided that I wasn't totally happy with the original version, and he saw a painting I did with a different style he liked better, so, this. ©2002 Thomas Blue.

No particular inspiration for this one or its mood. Just another cat who probably shouldn't have 'just one more.' His shirt and the background are supposed to mimic the olive that sits in his empty glass, uneaten.\r\nImage ©2002 Thomas Blue.

A triptych meant to dwell on that last second before something nasty happens involving a tiger samurai and...something else. Each panel is approximately 22"x28", acrylic and stencils on posterboard. ©2004 Thomas Blue.
