	Image: muri.jpg 584x797 114046 bytes 2006.06.22 I wanted Muri to be feminine, playful and a little crazy. She looks very much like a raver. Lunati inspired her a little but, because this is the first anthro rat I've ever drawn, you can tell the two are different animals. Muri has been relatively easy so far, but I still don't know what her colors are. I wanted her tail to look like Raven's, his black markings spread to his tail in strange patterns, so she doesn't have a normal pink tail. She doesn't have wings or any special powers, although she loves to dance and has a hard time staying sober. And so far, this is Muri. There will be much more of her, but she's still a work in progress so I'm going to be playing around with colors. Image © Tacoma TigressFire.

	Image: mushy.jpg 616x461 103334 bytes 2004.07.19 This took hours upon hours to construct and I think I lost a few brain cells in the process. I haven't done this sort of thing in years, so I had no idea what to do. I imagined that I was drawing Tacoma, but instead of a pencil my tools were a knife and a pen cap. And lots of tiny dabbling of clay all over her body. She looks either really confused, or deeply disturbed. And I don't blame her; she goes in the oven to bake tomorrow. Measurements 4" from head to feet, 1" wide. Very very tiny and also detailed.

It's kinda what happens when you're trying to relax and something pleasant enters your mind, and you still have things that are hurting you. Tacoma in a sort of gryphon form, with the wings of a phoenix. Her wings are on fire because a curse had fallen on her while she was working on freezing a hot forest and she's still breathing out ice and snow, trying to cover what she had missed before she can no longer fly and sacrifices herself to be re-born as a complete gryphon, while trying to create the right environment for herself. And she's hurting like hell but is still working at it for as long as she can. Hooray for therapy art.. Used a combination of different pencils to give the wings that extra crispy look. This picture is a tribute to all those good memories...I'm going to miss Babi. She was a miniature pinscer and Princess is a 10 y/o Pomeranian mix.

	Image: northern-lights.jpg 923x596 134133 bytes 2005.04.05 Tacoma chills out on a blanket of snow, watching the northern lights. So, this is what I've been working on for the last two weeks. Drawn and airbrushed in Photoshop 7. Little breakdown of how this was done. Tacoma was drawn first, slimmed the outlines, used a thick brush to make a base color of snow - powder blue. Took three nights to finish Tacoma. Then the real challenge - making the lights. Played around with the brushes, rotated a few times adding the wind filter, and after a few nights of pulling my hair out, I did it. Layered over the night sky, added Tacoma, and spent five days airbrushing the snow. This was exhausting but I love how it came out. About 57 hours of work total. Image © Tacoma TigressFire.

Interesting bit of info - took me two years to get my hair like that IRL and I've never seen anyone with the same style. People have this habit of wanting to pet my "spikes." Only reason she's got the male appendage is cos I wanted it to be more real to her anatomy. We made love that way, I felt it was appropriate. It's been so long since I've done decent yiff, let alone a colorful background. Overall I like how this came out. I'm rusty on sex or backgrounds. The bed gave me the most hell but I'd like to do more illustrations like this.
